Lovely stay near dog beach

We had a great time staying at Octopus Hideaway. We love the fully fenced private yard and the proximity to dog beach in Del Mar. We also appreciate that the unit is fully stocked with all the kitchen items we need to cook, including pots, pan, trays and cutting boards.

Nice and clean little home base for our stay in Del Mar, a quick walk to the beach and plenty to do in the area. We would stay again next time we’re in the area.

Beautiful property and ideal location. Exceeded all expectations and property managers were terrific from booking to departure. Perfect for 2-3 people. Highly recommend.

Peaceful Oasis

We enjoyed our time in this peaceful, beautiful and well appointed cottage. The location was perfect - an easy 10 minute walk from the dog beach and close to great coffee shops and restaurants for humans. Loved it.

We loved staying at the Octopus Hideaway!

They had all of the beach gear we needed and are a quick walk down to the sand. We loved the luscious plants in the backyard and of course the 2 bedrooms. Perfect space for our family of 4!

Perfect Little Beach House

Tucked in the back, nicely fenced with astroturf and well maintained gardens. It was perfect for a few days at the beach with our pups.

Another successful visit to the Octopus Hideaway!

This is a well-appointed property in a great location. Easy walk to the beach (and all of the beach supplies are there waiting for you!). Beachhaus staff goes above and beyond with their communication and attention to details before, during and after our stay. This property was remodeled 2 years ago and everything is top notch!

Nice place!

Beautiful little apartment with a killer location just a block from the beach. Del Mar is a cozy little town as well. Would 100% recommend. Perfect for a family of 4.

Get away weekend

Cute cottage! We stayed in the back unit which was quiet and had a lovely little garden! It was just right for us and our dogs! Walkable to shops, restaurants and beach!

Great beach access!

We enjoyed our stay at the Octopus Hideaway! We wanted something close to the beach and this was a super close walk! The house is a convenient location to restaurants and shopping. Although we didn't stay long enough to use the kitchen for cooking, it was well stocked. The home was clean and very nicely decorated.

Great place

This is a nice property: super clean and well-managed. The host responded to every question at Olympic speed. Perfect location for the beach. Great size for a couple or a small family. Highly recommend!

Beautifully appointed private haven

Thoughtful design, privacy, safe and comfortable. Cozy 'cottage' is literally 2-minute walk from best dog friendly beach in Del Mar. Prompt and attentive management response to questions. A sweet little getaway!

A Homecoming Week in the Octopus Hideaway

Out-of-state family members spent a wonderful week in the Octopus Hideaway. It provided a great home base to attend our niece's wedding, visit with family, and tour our favorite areas around town when we lived in San Diego and Del Mar. Family members frequented the area beaches and used the boogie boards and laundry machines provided in the rental.
