This beautiful craftsman house offers the best value in the Gorge with amazing views and easy accessibility to all Hood River restaurants and shops! Enjoy your breakfast on the covered deck outside or from the inside nook while gazing at the Columbia River with Mt. Adams in the background. In addition to the marvelous views of the Hood River bridge, White Salmon bluff and the 'Event Site', this home is located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Hood River. Take advantage of this fantastic location to easily walk downtown to Mike's Ice Cream, Double Mountain Brewery, Full Sail Brewery or walk the famous city stairs!

The Columbia street house is a 3 story, in the 'Craftman' style featuring a living room with original brick and updated gas fireplace. The adjacent dining room shows off beautifully maintained original woodwork as well hardwood floors throughout the house. All floors have plenty of windows and easy viewing! Outside is just as beautiful as inside! Sit on the front porch in the Adirondack chairs and watch Hood River drive by, enjoying the well done landscaping. The main floor bedroom(1) also has air conditioning and new windows with the half bathroom located off this bedroom. The walkout basement on the lower level has a common seating/sleeping area and a full bathroom with shower. This level is not completely finished but the bathroom is completely finished. This level of the house has the walk out basement to a very welcoming patio. It is great for gear storage as well.

After enjoying the day, take advantage of the very clean outdoor shower in the beautifully landscaped back yard. Relax on the back patio while watching the garden grow. Or enjoy a freshly grilled salmon on the back deck!

Our daughter’s wedding weekend

This charming home is in a beautiful neighborhood and the location is perfect for waking into town. It easily accommodated our large extended family and was equipped with everything we needed. I was especially impressed with the kitchen! My daughter and I loved sitting in the breakfast nook, overlooking the sloped back yard, the Columbia river and Washington foothills.I look forward to returning for a girls weekend soon!

We were in Hood River for my son’s wedding. The house was perfect. Beautifully decorated and had Eve and more then we needed. The basement was the kids hang out. Great house!!!

Beautiful property unkind host

We were in Hood River for a wedding that I was managing. The property is beautiful with breathtaking views. I am from AZ so the lush greenery was amazing. The property appears well maintained. That being said it is clearly an older house and we did have some plumbing issues. I would also like to note that two of the bedrooms are in the basement and not greatly appointed, it is unfinished and no pictures are posted here of it. My younger kids did not want to stay down there alone so we set them up in the living room which worked out since the toilet did backflow sewage into the shower upon its first use and whole the basement smelled awful. There are confusing and conflicting instructions about parking and the listed pullout was broken. My true concern is with the Host. When I called to report the backflow she did promptly return my call around 10:20 pm. But with a complete lack of customer service. I was accused of calling too late and of being drunk and cussed at when I answered her return call. A simple over flow didn't need a call until the morning but human sewage was coming out of the shower rendering bottom floor unusable. The wedding was the next morning and I was concerned about being able to prepare. Ultimately I refused service that evening because she was so aggressively rude. Someone sent a handy man anyway at 11pm who entered the home without permission and who was unable to fix it. She remained very rude the rest of my stay. The issue did get fixed the next day

Clean and Close to Everything

All of the reviews are accurate. This home was super clean and close to everything. It’s an older craftsman but kept very well. There are 2 bedrooms in the basement, one on the main level and one on the 2nd story. That’s one thing I thought would be helpful for a description to know with kids!

Great location, very nice kitchen, couches could be improved

Had a great time with our family of 4 + dog. House is very close to town. The kitchen was well stocked and updated, much appreciated. The couches in the living room could certainly use an upgrade. Other than that, great home and we enjoyed our stay

Columbia House

This property was everything we thought it would be and more! Great location in relation to the bars and downtown area. Very accommodating for larger groups with lots of space and three stories. The host was quick and helpful when communicating. The views from the upstairs patio and yard are unbeatable! We would all stay at this property again when in Hood River. A/C units in most rooms is a huge plus!

Hood River Stay

Beautiful neighborhood. The home was an older but classic old style (1930’s)construction. Beautiful remodeled kitchen. Sofa in front room need to be replaced. Just my opinion…The view is wonderful Downstairs below grade basement needs a new mattress. This is why 4 star rating. Bedding is absolutely critical for a 5 star rating and also a very easy upgrade

Great house location for all things Hood River

House was located close enough to walk to all downtown and riverfront venues. House was very clean with the exception that the downstairs area hasn't been kept heated. It was damp throughout and had some mildewy/moldy areas. We had 1 person, younger, stay downstairs so they didn't have any issues. The rest of us would not have been able to sleep in the bottom floor bedroom. We want to emphasize that the contact was helpful and rest of the home was perfectly fine.

Beautiful home in Hood River!

This home was perfect for the 5 of us to stay in while in town for a family wedding. My husband and I had the upstairs bedroom, and the other three all had their own rooms and bathrooms on the other two levels. The furnishings were lovely, the beauty and view of the Columbia River was breathtaking, and the close proximity to town for shopping/restaurants was an easy stroll. The originally planned day after wedding brunch was cancelled, and this home was comfortably large enough to host the brunch (my husband has 8 siblings and numerous nieces & nephews who all stopped in and some were even a bit envious that we had such great accommodations!). We enjoyed a few fresh tomatoes from the vines in the garden on the expansive lawns. My husband especially enjoyed his view and coffee from the outdoor shower! We hope to have the opportunity to stay in this home again. We highly recommend this home. Thank you, Elizabeth!

Uncleaned at check in, promised refund not made, nice craftsman house with view

While a beautiful Craftsman Home the check-in process was terrible. When we arrived exhausted from a wedding the day before the place had not been cleaned. It was evidently a screw up and the service worked hard to resolve the issue but it took 2 to 3 hours. A partial credit was suggested, but it never showed up. It was a fine house though with a great view of the Columbia River. I would hesitate to rent a property from Gorge key vacation rentals in the future.

Great location and view

The property is beautiful. The location is excellent. I enjoyed staying in a Craftsman Style House that is authentic and well maintained. The yard is beautiful. Everything you need is provided. The property manager is very prompt and kind.
