The home was perfect for our family. The two master bedrooms were definitely a plus! Nicely furnished with comfortable beds,etc.The hot tub was a bonus for my daughter and husband after running in the local Truckee marathon. The kids really had a good time playing foosball in the loft. Really couldn't find anything lacking, except the loft TV remote didn't turn on and we assumed the remote needed new batteries.I highly recommend this rental for families. We really enjoyed our stay.Thank you!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was perfect- a quick drive to Donner lake and downtown Truckee, but the neighborhood was peaceful, quiet and beautiful! The home was well stocked with linens, towels and extra pillows/bedding. The kitchen had very good quality and quantity of cooking utensils/pots/pans/dishes, also plenty of pantry staples so you if planning on cooking meals at the cabin you should have all the basics covered. The hot tub was clean and in good working order and it was lovely to relax after a day of hiking! Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

We absolutely loved this place. Spacious sleeping quarters, comfortable beds, well-appointed kitchen, and lovely high-ceilinged family room with a beautiful view.

Wonderful stay!

This house was perfect! Great location, clean house, fantastic hot tub, and wonderful bedroom options for adults and kids. We had plenty of room for our family of four, grandparents, and our pup!

Great Property!

We had a party of 8 plus dog and had a wonderful stay here. Close to resorts and other amenities. Owner was super responsive during our stay. Will definitely be back!

Our family of 3 generations had a wonderful stay! This house was clean upon arrival, accommodated all 5 adults, 2 little ones and our dog. Lots of room to spread out. We played games, ate inside and outside at large tables, enjoyed the hot tub and slept comfortably with the mountain air drifting in. I look forward to more visits at this delightful home!

Comfortable home

We had a wonderful time and the house was perfect for us (6 adults, two children under 3 and a dog). It is well laid out and very comfortable. Great location with all the Tahoe Donner amenities. Would stay there again.

Perfect family snow vacation

House is very comfortable and well appointed. Close to Tahoe Donner Ski and snow play areas. House backs up to nice open space where kids could play in the snow. Owner very responsive regarding questions during our stay.

Excellent spot for winter adventure

Super comfortable house that is clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped for cooks of group meals and bakers too. Loved it!

Gorgeous Truckee home

Beautiful home close to town and the golf course, and Donner lake. Only complaints are the bed in the master bedroom upstairs was very hard and pillows were not very comfortable, and the foosball table needs repair. Plenty of room room for 10 people and house was very well stocked. We had a great time.

Perfect stay

We had a wonderful time. The house was great, location was great, everything went so smooth. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen, made it super easy for us to prepare our meals. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and playing in the snow in the back yard. It was only minutes away from the ski hill, so getting there was a breeze! Definitely would recommend

Great house in a great location

Great location backing up to a green belt that is great for walking and kids bike riding. Well stocked kitchen and attentive manager. House is short on pillows and those that are there are old and beat up as are many of the towels. The best are quite high for little ones and older folks. Well stocked kitchen.

Perfect location for Donner Lake Swim

We felt comfortable meeting the owners upon arrival. They were very friendly and welcoming. The house was clean and roomy. I would suggest that you get a handyman to fix certain items: No knobs on bathtub upstairs Unusual way to turn on shower ( we were afraid of pulling it so hard) Kitchen sink faucet is loose Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful mountain home Swimmers came in 2nd, men and women’s division!!

Family Friendly Mountain Escape

We stayed in Jim’s house for a family vacation and had a great trip! The neighborhood was fantastic with easy access to tons of activities in Truckee (hiking, lake, biking, shopping, restaurants.) The house was perfect size for our group of 6 adults and 2 small children. We cooked a lot and found the kitchen to be very well stocked with all of the pots, pans and utensils you need. I recommend bringing your own pillows if possible as we found them to be flat. We found a couple leaks during our stay but Brian, the property manager, was very responsive and came right over to fix them. We would definitely rent Jim’s house again for another trip to Truckee!

Comfortable Tahoe Donner home

Our family group of 7 (5 adults and 2 small children) had a wonderful stay! This home is super clean and comfortably furnished with a spacious great room, well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels and linens. The ceiling fans and well positioned windows and doors provided great airflow and very comfortable conditions. Located on a quiet, flat street within easy driving distance to Truckee, Donner Lake, and the Tahoe Donner association's amenities. Having access to the Tahoe Donner pools and the Marina Beach Club on Donner Lake through the Tahoe Donner association's reservation system (extra fees) was a big plus for our group. The homeowners were super responsive and provided easy to follow instructions. We look forward to returning!

Great stay with minor improvements possible

Overall the house was perfect for my family of 5 adults, 6 kids, and 1 infant. Large and comfortable space with all the amenities you need. There are minor improvements that can be made however: - the floors were a bit dusty when we entered. It was not a deal-breaker but I would mention this to the cleaners - the hallway bathroom on the first floor has a leaking shower because the shower door is not sealed properly. this meant the bathroom floor was wet for the entire weekend, effectively. - the shower nozzle in the upstairs bathroom is difficult to turn and set for hot water. we had to call the property manager to get very specific instructions and only after several tries did it finally work. - both the property manager and the owner were not in town which meant no one was available to come to the house in case of an emergency. the welcome message said that the property manager lived next door and was available for any needs - next time it would just be good to know the truth so we know what to expect when we run into issues. Again, these are minor comments and not major ones. Overall my family was very comfortable and I appreciate the home being open to us. Thank you.

Great stay, accurate description

Owner was prompt with communication, big space for the family, lots of kitchen goods, extra paper products which is always welcome. Great location. Close to Donner Lake.
