Resort Fees include use of the pools, golf cart shuttle rides to and from the condo to the beach. WIFI, pool towels

The AOAO Board of Directors has approved the following fee changes that will affect all inbound Guest reservations effective January 1, 2024.

• The daily Resort Service Fee of $22.00 will increase to $25.00/day; which will assist with funding common area amenities and activities. (Owners are not subject to this fee).
• The daily Parking Fee of $17.00 will increase to $20.00/day; which will assist in offsetting the Valet service. (Owners are not subject to this fee).

Please note: the one-time Check-In Fee of $50.00 will continue to be assessed to each Owner and Guest reservation upon arrival to the resort; this fee continues to fund Front Desk operations. The Reservations Fee of $6.75 per every non-Owner reservation request will continue to be assessed in the New Year.

All reservations confirmed on or after January 1, 2024 will be charged the 2024 fees. Should you have a Guest with a 2024 reservation that confirmed in 2023, then the 2023 fees will be honored.


The AOAO Board of Directors has approved the following fee changes that will affect all inbound reservations effective January 1, 2023.
• A one-time Check-In Fee of $50.00 will be assessed to each Guest reservation upon arrival to the resort; this fee will assist in funding Front Desk operations. The Guest will pay this fee upon arrival at Hanalei Bay Resort and IS NOT included in the VRBO payments

The Daily Resort Service Fee of $22.00 will stay the same in 2023 and Guests will continue to pay at check-out. For example 7 nights = $154

The state of Hawai'i and Hawai'i counties are considering tax increases for the future 2026 & 2027. Should taxes increase the guests are responsible for paying for any and all the tax increases if and when that is implemented.

Great location, and loved the resort

We had a great experience at this property. They were very accommodating with our last minute booking after having to adjust our travel plans. The view is stunning and it is very conveniently positioned in the resort, which is great if you’re carrying things back and forth to the car.

Amazing resort with great view!

Condo was clean and comfy with everything we needed for our stay. It was an easy walk to the beach. Convenient having the happy talk lounge on site and access to the bars/restaurants at 1 Hanalei within walking distance. The pool on site isn’t heated (the ocean is warmer) but that was fine for us.

The property is well-maintained, the staff is super friendly and helpful. The views are spectacular. You have access to a private beach for an incredible snorkeling experience. The Happy Talk Bar and Grill has excellent food and drinks. The resort is close to dining, shopping, and golf. The resort also has a beautiful pool if you don't want to go to the beach. Barbecues are nearby if wish to stay in and cook.

A Hidden Paradise

Our stay at this place was wonderful! We are repeat customers and have stayed here for a few years now. It is always a perfect condo with beautiful views on the balcony and quiet. It is centrally located on the resort next to the pool, tennis courts, and lawn with an amazing sunset view. We will come back again.

Aloha Steve yes the resort is great, and we agree. Since your stay we have spent money on 2 new refrigerators, cleaned the carpet, new hot water heater. We were happy to refund you more than $550 and you had asked originally thought maybe $300 would work as you had mentioned. We would have been happy to do whatever we could have while you were there to make your stay more comfortable and refused our efforts while you were there. We were happy to offer and try...we do get different feedback from different guests. We have the most affordable 3 bedroom @ Hanalei Bay Resort and try to help set guest expectations this is Hawaiian Casual and not Hawaiian upscale so we can have guests that may only be able to visit Hawai'i one time. All we can say is we do like to generously share the Spirit of Aloha and wish you the best.

THE VIEW!

We travel to Kauai about once a year. Hanalei is our happy place. The views from this condo are phenomenal. Every bedroom has a lanai and a view. The front room has a lanai and a view. The private beach is lovely and the shuttle back and forth is really helpful.Did I mention the view? We will definitely be back!

Family spring break

Fantastic location for anyone; family or small group. Perfectly groomed grounds. Only problem was terrible Wi-Fi that was never over 5mbs, often dropped completely, and required using our own hotspot. Several calls to the ISP and property management; even a visit to the front, changed nothing. Still a wonderful property.

We are pleased you and your ohana were our guests for you family spring break and found it to be a fantastic location for anyone. We appreciate you felt there were perfectly groomed grounds. We weren’t contacted about the WIFI from you and understand you went to the front desk. Hanalei Bay Resort offers the same WIFI for all guests throughout the resort as part of their resort fees and it is the same for us as everyone else. We called and the speed offered is 14mbps. We were sorry to learn of your unfortunate situation with the WIFI. We were pleased to learn your own hotspot worked wonderfully at the resort and solved your problem. Happily you still found this to be a wonderful property.

Great view, a little tired, lacking in basics

Overall you can’t beat sitting on the balcony and looking over Hanalei Bay. Morning, noon and night are all amazing views. Units are pretty dated and kitchen had old and limited pots/pans, etc. Would have been nice for the resort restaurant to be open longer hours, but not a flaw of the unit per se.

Paradise

Hanalei Bay Resort is the place to stay on the North Shore! We will stay here every time we come to Kauai. The condo was bigger than I imagined but pretty outdated. Bathrooms and kitchen were not as clean as I had expected with the price we paid for the condo. Views were PHENOMENAL!!! Highly recommend this condo but would appreciate a good bathroom and kitchen scrub!

We Found Paradise at Hanalei Bay Resort

We arrived after dark, and were greeted warmly by the front desk staff. Shuttled to our condo which was nice because we had a lot of luggage. We slept well in the comfy beds, and woke up in the morning to see the most beautiful view of Hanalei Bay. I never wanted to leave our balcony! The property is fabulous. One drawback is they were doing maintenance on the grounds every day of our stay. All day long, it was noisy. We will definitely go back, but maybe at a time when there is not so much maintenance going on.

Best view ever!

The view from this unit is breathtaking. The beds are super comfortable and the furniture is comfy as well. The unit is well taken care of. The grounds are immaculate and the pool is nice. Cons: parking is pretty far so if you’re driving out it a lot it can be a pain. Sometimes it’s hard to get a parking spot. A family moved in above us on our last day and we could hear everything at 6am. Be ready to hear lots of kids running and yelling early in the morning. Most of the week it was quiet.

Stay at Hanalei Bay

We have stayed on the property before in a different unit so our expectations were pretty high for our stay. The unit itself has a lovely view and was in a quiet location. The kitchen had all we needed. Beds were comfortable and the layout good for our group of 6. The entire unit could use some updating and a deep clean. The carpets, furniture bedding etc are pretty worn. There were dead bugs in the ceiling fan lights, air conditioner unit vents were covered in dirt, baseboards and bathroom lights dirty with small spider webs. The beach equipment on the patio was old, covered in sand and the folding chairs (not enough for the 6 of us) rusty. We ended up not using any of it. The wi-fi for the resort was out during our stay which did cause some issues for some of our guests related to work. We were going to start washing the towels before our departure but no detergent was supplied. We had a good time in all. I think our expectations were a bit higher from the unit we had previously.

Sorry to hear about the WIFI, Hanalei Bay Resort provided that via the resort fees and apparently the hotspot seems to work. No worries about the towels. Above all happy to know you had a good time in all. We have improved the cleanliness of the unit as we want to meet the expectations of our guests.

The accommodations were perfect for the family. Well furnished with awesome views and set perfectly within Hanalei Bay Resort - a destination for now spanning over 20 years!

Amazing view! Second time we have stayed in this unit. Beautiful complex. Great choice for larger family. Can’t wait to come back!

Great views!

We enjoyed our stay. The unit was spacious and the location was excellent ! Brian was very responsive with any questions we had.
