Your romantic waterfront getaway awaits you in this gorgeous private guest home on one of the most impressive waterfront properties in Washington. Wake up in your king-sized memory foam bed to golden sunrises over the Puget Sound. This guesthouse is detached from the main home and tucked away behind a gated French Chateau style estate in a quiet picturesque neighborhood. One mile from the Harbor and downtown shops, restaurants and breweries.

Guest home has a full-sized kitchen complete with everything you need to make a great cup of coffee or romantic dinner. Comfy living room area perfect for unwinding and snuggling in with a good book or movie. Stunning Italian marble bathroom with double vanity, walk-in-shower and full-sized washer and dryer. Home has 2 electric based wall heating units located in the living room and bedroom and a fireplace in the living room.

Meander around the meticulously kept gardens of the main home and don't forget to catch some "Morning Therapy" by watching the stunning sunrises, complete with Mount Rainier, Vashon Island and Point Defiance Views. Orca whales, harbor seals, porpoises, and bald eagles are all common visitors in this beautiful high bank waterfront backyard along Colvos Passage in the quiet community of Gig Harbor, Washington!

*this is high bank waterfront and there are no stairs down to water.

Breathtaking views

My husband and I had a quick weekend getaway from our crazy life’s. The property was beautiful and meticulously maintained! Definitely set up as a “romantic cottage”. The hosts were amazing and easy to communicate with. And the views were breathtaking! Can’t wait to go back!

Restful getaway

My husband and I needed a few days of just relaxation so we chose this beautiful place that looks so cozy. It definitely was that. Gig Harbor is a wonderful City. You should not miss it!!

The most amazing stay

From the minute we entered the palatial gate, we felt like we were in a storybook. The French provincial accommodation surrounded by beautiful gardens is just the beginning. Our host Shannon and Lorne welcomed us with a tour of the gorgeous view of the Puget sound. The interior was just as amazing. We will definitely be back!!

Gig Harbor at its best!

Our stay could not have been better. Hosts Loren and Shannon were very welcoming and thoughtful. The upscale property is beautiful, quiet, and extremely comfortable. Plus the views of the water and Mt Rainier are outstanding. Thanks for a great stay!

I had the best time!

This guest home is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It’s perfect for a quick getaway. The was super comfy and view from the peoperty is amazing. The hosts were so easy to communicate with and made the check in and check out process super easy. I highly recommend this property and I can’t wait to book again!

Wonderful stay!

The Chateau by the Sea was the perfect place to explore around beautiful Gig Harbor - tucked behind a gate in the guesthouse of an exclusive, waterfront property (with exquisite landscaping!), the rental was comfortable, clean, and lovely. It reminded us of Italy. Shannon was a thoughtful and friendly host with an eye for detail and extra little touches that made our stay warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Guesthouse

Spent a perfect Labor Day weekend in this well appointed guesthouse on a Puget Sound waterfront estate. Very comfortable, easy access & a terraced garden pathway to the waterfront to enjoy the breathtaking views! Thank you Shannon for making this available. 😍

Slice of paradise

Lorne and Shannon were great hosts and very helpful. The property was exceptionally beautiful and peaceful. It was so relaxing as well. We would love to stay here again and encourage anyone traveling to this area to check it out. The view and gardens are amazing and we saw a beautiful full moon rising over the harbor. Our stay at this incredible home was perfect. The location is close enough to town, but no traffic noise. The views across the sound were so beautiful. The owners were very attentive and the house was well stocked and it was so comfortable. This is a gem. Put this home on your must visit list!

Absolute Paradise

Shannon made our getaway even better than we imagined. She had a bottle of wine and dry sodas in the fridge. She even picked fresh figs off her tree for us to enjoy! The grounds are well manicured with views for days. Just relax and make unforgettable memories here!

Perfect getaway

I have stayed in many VRBO's over the years, this was by far the best. Home is exactly as described by host. Absolutely beautiful setting, many amenities in the kitchen, comfy bed and views, views, views! I was looking for a rejuvenation weekend, could have stayed another week it was so sublime. Thank you Shannon for being the perfect host and sharing this amazing place.

Gig Harbor vacation home

Shannon and Lorne were perfect hosts and their vacation home was as well. The house clean, comfortable and well stocked. It was walking distance to the quaint Gig Harbor Waterfront. I highly recommend this home during a stay in Gig Harbor

Wish we stayed longer!

Hello! I am Shannon, your primary host, along with my husband Lorne. We were on vacation and in this very backyard on a garden tour when we decided that Gig Harbor was where we wanted to live. Little did we know, this would be the exact home we would move into 3 years later (by many twists of fate). It is our absolute pleasure to have this opportunity to share Gig Harbor with you by renting our guest home. Although we respect your privacy, please don’t hesitate to say hello or let us know if you’d like to meet up. We have enjoyed getting to know our many of our guests, it's why we do this!
