Our stay at the Fig and Anchor met all our expectations and more. The home is centrally located and within walking distance of shops, the water front, and restaurants. Yet, we felt like we were in a secluded island paradise. The home is spacious, clean, with fabulous outdoor space for relaxing, dining and playing. It is a beautiful home with all the necessities needed for preparing meals, enjoying time with family and relaxing. The hosts were responsive and proactive in reaching out.

This property met our needs and expectations for a week visit to the Pacific Northwest for a wedding and remote working. We really enjoyed the large kitchen and deck BBQ, and great counter space to finish icing the wedding cake!The house is very nicely furnished with large windows that brought the outside in; very calming features. The view of the harbor is a bonus being able to be viewed from the large deck, living room, and dining table. We would have enjoyed using the fire pit but time got away from us spending time with nearby family and friends. We enjoyed eating at local restaurants.Great communication with the owner throughout the process.We would absolutely consider this space on a next visit opportunity!!

The house was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, with 4 bedrooms, a very large kitchen area, wine fridge, kettle, and coffee maker. A complete range of cooking items and utensils, plus microwave, dishwasher, oven, and fridge freezer.The bedrooms were large with comfortable mattresses, and the master BR had a walk in shower with two separate counters and sinks, plus an enormous storage room next to it with a cot. The lounge area had lots of seating, with a gas fire which operated on a timer and also faced onto the deck area, where there was a very large area for seating and fantastic views of the harbor. It is easily the most fully appointed property we have ever stayed at, and it made our visit to Fox Island very convenient. We were impressed by the welcome gifts and flowers. Walking into Gig Harbor was a matter of 10 minutes or less to some excellent shops, restaurants and activities. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer!

What we love most about this neighborhood is how relaxing and welcoming it feels. Life here moves at a slower pace, which encourages us to connect—with nature, our neighbors, and the local culture. We start many mornings with a peaceful walk through the forested trails or along the shore, and in the evening, We enjoy watching the sunset while having dinner at one of the locally owned bistros.

The natural beauty of the evergreens, the walkable streets, the small-town charm, and the incredible views of Mount Rainier, all while being so close to the city—this place has a unique way of drawing you in and making you want to stay.
