Salty Dog Beach House, 5 minute walk to the Beach or the Washington Street Mall
This 1950’s beach cottage located on the edge of the historic district has been lovingly restored. The Salty Dog Beach House is centrally located near the corner of Jefferson and Columbia making it close to the beach, Washington Street Mall and all that Cape May has to offer. Park your car in the driveway and walk to restaurants, shopping, theaters, tours, and the Washington Street Mall. Parking can be difficult in Cape May and this house is unique as it has parking for two cars off street in the driveway.
In the evening, enjoy a fire pit in the backyard or the sounds of the horse drawn carriages pass by as you relax in the open concept kitchen/living room, while you send the kids to the basement to enjoy the home theatre. The cottage has three bedrooms upstairs and a pull out sofa on the lower level. There is a full bath upstairs and there is a half bath downstairs and an outside shower. Linens are INCLUDED at the Salty Dog, sheets, bath towels and beach towels with the turnover service. The Salty Dog offers a beach box for you to leave your beach items in at the end of your beach day. There are numerous beach chairs and a couple of beach umbrellas left for you to use during your stay (Available Memorial Day through Sept 17th). And finally, salty air comes natural with the Salty Dog Beach House. Come and visit!

We had such a great stay at the Salty Dog! A lovely place with comfortable beds, an updated and versatile kitchen, and nice spaces for sitting and chatting together. The location was fantastic - just a short walk to the beaches, Acme, and the pedestrian mall. Really enjoyed everything!

This house was immaculate and included everything a family of 5 needed for a week vacation in the heart of Cape May. Loved being able to access the Salty Dog’s well equipped beach box, made beach days so much easier, as were the included beach tags. Highly recommend.

The house was incredibly clean and was the best-stocked place we've stayed - it had everything needed for a quiet week away. It was a short walk to the shops and dining, as well as the beach. We would love to stay here again!

Highly recommend! This apartment is situated close to Jefferson Beach and the Washington Street mall – everything is in walking distance. Rob was an excellent host and very responsive. The house was clean, well-stocked, and we enjoyed the basement for watching movies.

The Salty Dog Beach House was one of the most well appointed, immaculately cleaned homes I have ever rented! We only stayed for a short off-season trip, but everything was amazing. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen and bathrooms have everything you need, and the location can't be beat! We really loved the proximity to the park/playground for the kids, and all other major Cape May sights are a walk or very short drive away. We would definitely stay again!

This house makes us question why we went to Cape Cod for so many years! Here, everything is within walking distance—beach, shopping, restaurants, more. The house is clean, well stocked, well designed, bright, and cheery. It is my daughter’s favorite rental. Ever. We have stayed here multiple times and have many fond memories. I recommend this house.

Everything about this home was wonderful. From its proximity to the boardwalk/beach/pedestrian mall to the well appointed bedrooms, kitchen and baths, it was a delightful stay. The host was kind, welcoming, and communicative. Lots of light filled the space. Couldn’t have asked for more.

The very beginning of the rental process was so easy! The host Robert was great. The communication was amazing. The amenities were great! The place was very clean and welcoming! Everything was easy to get to!

Great location, super clean & comfortable home for our family of four. With two teens, it was great to have their own separate room. The downstairs living space was a nice bonus to provide more space. It was a wonderful stay during the holiday season.

I would highly recommend the Salty Dog. The home is beautiful and exceptionally clean. It is located within walking distance to the Washington Street Mall. We had a wonderful weekend in beautiful Cape May at Christmas time!

Host was very welcoming and helpful. Property is very clean and had everything we needed for our Thanksgiving stay. I can only imagine how alive the town is during summer months. This home is only a few short blocks to the beach. We would love to come back.

We were very happy with our stay here. The location is great for walking to the beach or walking to town. The property was very clean. Everything was as described. Would definitely book again.

We had an amazing stay!! The host was so thoughtful with providing everything that we needed. The linens and towels were very plush and comfortable and he had soaps and shampoos available. We loved having cozy movie nights after a long day of walking. Highly recommend this place?!!

Great stay in Cape May
We had a great stay at the salty dog. It had everything we needed from cooking supplies, laundry needs, and beach equipment. Close to the beach and shops.
