If you are looking for a charming weekend getaway on Lake Michigan, you can look no further! This two bedroom, 1.5 bath coach house is situated above the garage and is separate from the main house. There is a full sized kitchen, washer/dryer, living room, dining area, and outdoor balcony for grilling or relaxing. The beach is located only 3 houses down and is private access for the 8 houses on our block. This home is conveniently located 10 minutes away from downtown Saint Joseph restaurants, shopping, and Silver Beach.

Perfect space for our family of 4. Great location with a short walk to a private beach on Lake Michigan. Also short drives to both the beach towns of St Joseph and South Haven. Host communication was excellent.

House was everything and more! It was very clean and stocked for all things needed. The private beach was a short little walk down a trail to a very secluded and wonderful beach! Would highly recommend staying here to anyone, and if we are ever back in the area would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated. Big kitchen with lots of utensils, refrigerator was clean and full of ice, coffee pods and creamer available! Beds are comfortable. Would recommend not advertising jacuzzi tub, as it appears that it has been out of service for quite some time. Love the big shower! Host responded quickly to any questions. Like how close location is to St. Joseph! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

A lovely place to stay. Like brand new. Whoever laid all of the tile was truly a craftsman and the extra large shower with two shower heads was a treat. The entire home was extremely clean, spacious and light filled. Like brand new. We truly enjoyed our stay and my daughter was happy to have her own half bath. The beach was beautiful and my wife and daughter visited everyday. Upon arrival, we had a couple of questions that were answered immediately. And, it was a great base camp for shopping trips to Grand Rapids and St. Joseph, with multiple dining trips to St. Joseph, South Haven and Saugatuck. Will most definitely book again in the future.

Lovely place! It was clean and well-stocked. Great communication! Just for reference I would say the 2nd bedroom is better suited for one adult, maybe 2 kids. The bed is a full, not queen, and the mattress seems to sag toward the middle, so that 2 adults roll toward center and have a hard time keeping flat. But everything else was excellent and comfortable, and exactly as posted. We recommend St. Joseph (10 min away) and dinner at RyeBelle’s.

Great comfy home base

We had a great time at the Lake Michigan coach house. Nice kitchen and bath - comfy beds. The walk down to the beach wasn’t too far (but a lot of stairs) and the beach was great! Would return next time we are in the area!

This property is well maintained and quite lovely. We love the cozy living space and open concept of the kitchen. It’s perfect for our little family when we come to visit Michigan.

A Lovely Little Getaway

One of the most adorable places we have rented in MI to date. The coach house was surprisingly roomy and we loved the layout and decor. The kitchen was a joy to cook in and the beds were so comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Lovely Coach house. Check in was easy & host was very accommodating to our time line. Very well appointed (except for the missing toaster which host did not realize until we contacted her). We were able to store our bikes inside which was great. Access to the beach was as stated and the beach was beautiful. Convenient to both St Joseph/Benton Harbor and South Haven if you need easier access to the beach. Nice bike trails at Van Buren State Park & KalHaven trail in South Haven. Perfect place for us to celebrate our anniversary get away.

Beautiful and peaceful

Great location, awesome exercise, great kitchen and bedrooms, nice little deck, (bring extra chairs if more than 2), and great walk down to beach. Host os very nice and responsive. Quick trip to st joe and beaches. Hopefully the jacuzzi tub is up and running. ;)

Great place - would stay again!

Katie was great with communication. I had issues with my VRBO login and was unable to access my account. The host was very accommodating and worked with me to make sure I had all the info. Perfect location to get to all the nearby towns. Very nice accommodations and we had everything we needed.

The place, cleanliness, supplies, location, and the host were all excellent. VRBO made an error in not notifying the host of our stay. We arrived late and could not get into the house and had to stay elsewhere. The host handled it all very well. Lesson Learned: Double check with host that all is well!!

A beautiful getaway weekend

When I say that this carriage house is a perfect getaway spot, I mean it. The house itself is so lovely. It is the perfect space for a small family, or a few friends. The kitchen was very well equipped, and we found everything we needed. The beach was a close walk, and was so lovely. Our 6-year-old son did not want to leave, and is already talking about when we can return to visit again.

Nice Getaway

My wife and I wanted to get away for a few days. We always enjoy St. Joseph and the Silver Beach area. This property is an easy 10 minute drive away. The place was clean and well appointed. We found sitting on the balcony deck in the evening to be most pleasant. An added attraction was a private (neighborhood) beach that we visited a couple of times during our stay. I could highly recommend this place.

Excellent Stay

Excellent stay just minutes outside St Joseph. We liked that we were able to access the city easily without having to fight the busyness of tourist season. It was very spacious and clean. Even with directions from host, the place was a little hard to find. It seemed like you were driving through someone's yard with the amount of overgrowth in the lane. Despite that, we would definitely stay again.
