Nice House

We enjoyed the house and found it to be well equipped to entertain a family with small children. The bunkhouse was nice for the grandparents to find a quiet spot. The house was clean and well-maintained. Responsiveness by the property management to questions was excellent. Overall, this was a nice visit.

Wonderful house on Orcas

My wife, kids, grandkids and two dogs had a wonderful time while staying in this wonderful home on Orcas Island. Actually, there are two homes, and with 8 people, the extra space was nice (the guest home had a queen bed and full bath). All the beds were ultra comfortable, the house was very clean, and the kitchen well stocked.The folks at the management company were great and sent us everything we needed to know about the house ahead of time. The only downside to our stay was that the internet wasn’t working, but we were there to eacape, so we didn’t really need to call the property manager to get it working.

Tranquil

Lovely view in a very peaceful location. Kitchen is fully stocked and all appliances are high end. Beds are comfortable and bathroom is nice. Home is updated but it is an older home, so those sensitive to humidity might not feel comfortable. Convenient to Doe Bay, Buck Bay and Moran and about 20 minutes drive to Eastsound. No beach access and aside from the gravel roads, no real walking area. Lots of deer!

Girl’s weekend getaway was wonderful. House was very comfortable and well stocked! Beds were great.

This place was wonderful...after we got in. There are 2 lock boxes on the front door, and we didn't see the black keyless entry on the black door. Instead, we tried the one to the right of the door labeled "Guest" and then even tried the one labeled "Housekeeping", then we tried the one at the corner of the house. After a few phone calls (excellent communication and response), we finally noticed the one on the door and entered into a beautiful home with a lovely view. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the pots, pans, and dishes you could want. The beds were big and comfortable, and the entire house/cottage were spotless and well appointed. Because it's on a private road, the area is quiet and peaceful yet not far from hiking, gallerying, shopping, and water sports. A perfect place for families and friends.

Problems

Several blinds did not work. Lots of rules ,lots of donts. Main bath sink drain very slowly.

Quaint cabin

Orcas Island is always wonderful and this past trip didn’t disappoint. Our ferry was delayed 5 hours so we arrived on Orcas late at night. The directions to the house were difficult for us to follow and GPS took us down the wrong road. When we finally located the house there were multiple lock boxes and we had a struggle getting the house key out. I think if we were checking in daylight this would have been easier. The house is partially remodeled and clean but by no means completely updated. The appliances are new but the bathrooms are older. All in all we had a fun time but probably would not choose this house again.
