Had an awesome time at this house. We had plenty of room, beds were comfy, kitchen was great and well stocked, we enjoyed looking at the bay from the porch, and the visits from deer. We had a fishing charter who took us almost directly in front of the house and then the next day saw orca from the deck. Was a very relaxing way to end our Washington vacation.

This home was perfect as a very comfortable and relaxing vacation for our family. San Juan Island has so much to offer, yet we all looked forward to our time at the rental. Our sons played chess together, we cooked meals together and we explored the beach together. Great 5 day stay.

This review feels very out of place. This is a modern, clean, and comfortable rental home on San Juan Island with an incredible view, and private beach access. Many travelers to San Juan Island consider this a gem of a rental home.

Great Views

Beautiful. Resident bald eagle is fun to watch. Tide pools are full of life. Comfortable beds. Very private.

Like a dream

Absolutely magical experience. Waking up to the sunrise and seeing Mt. Ranier in the distance over the water is an experience I will never forget. I’d move here in an instance.

The views were phenomenal, the house absolutely incredible and the hosts were outstanding!! We never needed anything but the hosts were very communicative so that if we did need anything, they were available! I just can’t say enough positive things about this rental !!

The house was clean, well stocked and perfect for our family. We loved sitting out on the deck and saw a mom and baby deer in the yard and an otter (I think) out in the water just below. We hope to return!

Amazing property!

Loved everything about the property except it was very hot inside by late morning until late evening. The thermostat appears to have a cool setting but the AC wouldn’t turn on. Even a standalone unit in the main living space would make the stay a lot more comfortable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful house for our party of six. Beautiful location 20 minutes from Friday Harbor. Very clean and well equipped kitchen, however the outdoor grill does not heat over 300 degrees which caused some problems preparing dinner. Additionally we felt the check out time of 10am was a bit much.

There is small family of deer that like to visit, they are not shy about checking out the humans. Located within easy drive to reach store and restaurants. The washer and dryer was appreciated since my granddaughter liked to play on beach, she liked digging in the rocks. Would stay here again.

Simply Spectacular

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 5 had the best time on San Juan Island. The house was perfect and the owners thought of nearly everything. The house had all of the kitchen cooking items we needed, there was a rollaway bed so our 3 kids could spread out and each have their own beds, there were fans in each room to help cool off in the afternoon, Tons of board games and puzzles for the kids, binoculars for the spectacular views and even some coffee beans for the mornings. Getting to the water was super easy and exploring the beach is a lot of fun for the kids as the tides come and go and change the beach every day. What more can I say? We loved it and would go back tomorrow.

Limestone retreat

Charming, mid century- all in all well renovated and decorated. Several things could be added: In the master bathroom, a towel rack and some hooks. In the kitchen, more coffee mugs and small plates. Family that was staying at another house came over for breakfast and there wasn't enough to serve them. And the (new) dishwasher holds a large amount. Would need to wash so often. We brought a lot of things not knowing what is supplied. A more detailed list would be good. Other than those minor but easy to fix things it was very nice, peaceful and scenic.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The views were a 10 the house was a 7.I loved the sunsets and sunrises. The property could use some upkeep. Several windows won't close even though instructions ask you to close all windows before departing. The gas fireplace was a nice addition but the hole in the floor next to chimney needs repaired. The main toilet rocks when sat on, I believe the shims need replaced with a permanent fix.The grass was mowed but a little more time spent on weed eating etc. Would be nice.

Updated mid-century w/easterly views, not great location

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We decided to head up to San Juan last minute and this house was available for a few days so we booked it. It's a mid-century home that has been nicely remodeled w/amazing NE views, so it's not a super sunny lot. The location is a bit secluded - $30 taxi to Roche which is a 5 mile drive. The grounds were run down, but lawn was mowed. Overall I wouldn't stay here again. It was priced too high for the location, the overall property (view is amazing!), small beach & close proximaty to the neighbor who has a barky dog. The main photo was taken when it was a low tide so that's a bit deceiving. There is not much of a beach. Loved the house, but want to relocate it.

We're glad the location of this rental home was enjoyed. This property offers a lovely adjacent orchard, which is perhaps what is meant by 'grounds being run down'. A note for future renters, low tide happens twice a day, making this a very nice beach to enjoy.

Beautiful View, sketchy beach access

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was lovely and well appointed. The yard and back deck are great for taking in a stunning view. We were able to access the beach via the property’s stairs but they are pretty rickety and need to be replaced. I wouldn’t recommend it for older guests. Overall we had a very comfortable and nice stay. Everything was clean and well put together.My feedback for the property management company is that the repeated emphasis on no early check in/late check out at a $200 fine is excessive and put a bad taste in our mouths before we even got there. It’s like “ok we get it, no need to bludgeon us with it”. Why not implement a policy of letting people know it’s unlikely that early arrival and late check outs can be accommodated due to Covid and other constraints but we will text guests the morning of to let them know if it is a possibility. One is more customer focused and honestly could have the same outcome (I.e. we can’t accommodate) but just sounds so much more welcoming and supportive of guests.
