The home was beautiful. The host was very accommodating. The home was in walking distance to everything we needed. I would book this one again in the future!

Fantastic location about 15 minutes from American Dream Mall, which is what we came to do with the kids for the weekend. We really spend minimal time at the house, so great value for the price. Ice maker in fridge does not work, and we could not get one of the TVs to work in the bedroom. Plenty of toilet paper. No paper towels. Kitchen was adequate for basic cooking. Would absolutely stay here again!

Such a cozy and comfortable apartment! Everything was super clean and just like the photos. Only small thing was the toilet paper ran out, but overall I had a great stay and would definitely come back!

Great setup and easy access to stores and restaurants. Easy parking. Quiet neighborhood with everything you need in walking distance.

The rental was just as shown online and was nice and clean. Plenty of room to spread out and beds were comfy (one soft and two firm). Easy to get Ubers at all times and it took about 25-40min to get to the city, depending on time of day. I would not hesitate to stay here again :)

The place is great and very close to all of the attractions we were hoping to see on our first trip to the area. The photos are spot on for the property. We were only 30 minutes from being in the city and about 50 minutes from Coney island so the location really makes the place worth it if you are planning on going to the popular attractions.

We had a small issue getting into the building and could not get a hold of the owner originally and we had to go through VRBO. The TV also kept cutting in and out with reception but other than that stay was overall good. The rooms were clean and the house was very welcoming.

Cesar quickly responded to my questions. Comments I have: there were no hand towels or paper towels for the kitchen or bathroom; and the night traffic is loud and never ending. Although, after the first sleepless night, the ceaseless traffic couldn't keep me up on the second night. We had to drive to Columbia U to take part in a ballroom dance competition for the weekend, and the trip to and from was quick and easy! Thank you for that.

The room itself was good. The parking situation was the worst I’ve ever encountered in my life. Parking and driving on an incredibly steep incline , and very hard to get my van through the area

Location was centered around plenty of shopping and dinning. The place was spacious. Overall stay was good. Minus hair in the bathroom sink, bathroom shower and toilet. Wasn't presented as being cleaned prior to booking.Now, parking was a whole other beast. The steepest slope to have someone park on. It rained, almost slid into the garage.

Ant infestation

Stay was great, hospitality was amazing but was outrageous full with ants, after leaving the place we had ants in and out of our bags and even had them in some of our snacks. Was not happy

When we checked in, there was no toilet paper or paper towels anywhere, and it took a few hours for the host to respond and drop them off. It doesn't seem that huge a deal, until you pee in a strange house and city and have no way to wipe. The house wasn't very clean. The baseboards had a layer of dirt and dust. But the real issue and reason for the rating was the fake eyelashes I found in the sheets I was sleeping on. No one I had in that house even owns a pair, so this means the sheets were obviously never cleaned. Disgusting and not acceptable. The location was great. The house was fine as far as layout, size, and temperature. No toiletries in the bathroom, and there's really nothing for tv channels either.

We enjoyed the space itself, it is clean and well-furnished. The only real downside was some confusion about where we should park. We were told that the left side of the driveway was for guests, but when we got back late from a Yankees game it was occupied, and we ended up parking about 4 blocks away. (The neighborhood is as crowded as Manhattan but with much steeper hills.) It wasn’t a problem on our 2nd night, so I would clear that up with the owner before booking. And definitely don’t bring multiple cars as our original plan entailed. Otherwise, a it’s a nice spot convenient to the city.

This had a very nice set-up for a family. It had plenty of dishes, pots, and appliances. The location was great for visiting NYC. It's directly on a bus route that goes into New York and within walking distance to both a Walmart and an Aldi (as well as several fast food places).The host was flexible, friendly, and responsive. He was quick to respond when I contacted him about a nonfunctional can-opener and the lack of an oven mitt. It was odd and slightly uncomfortable to have the host access the unit for private purposes while we were staying there, however (he uses part of the unit for personal storage and needed something out of it for his own aims during our stay). The main downside of the unit was the quality of housekeeping, particularly in the kitchen. Many of the dishes and utensils were dirty when we pulled them out. There was food residue (crumbs, etc.) in the bottoms of drawers. There were mouse traps and mouse/insect sticky papers in the kitchen cabinets and the oven drawer. We found trash (like large empty candy boxes) under the living room furniture when it was moved for the host to access his storage. There was grime on many of the floors, particularly around the baseboards and near the corners of rooms.This really is a great alternative place to stay if you're looking to visit New York on the cheap and/or with a family. The cleanliness issue is one that can be easily addressed by the host in the future to make this a truly outstanding stay.

The hose was bit delayed in responding but nothing too bad! However, we were struggling as there was no shampoo/bodywash/wash cloths/etc. and we had brought some but ran out. The house also had a weird odor of animal urine in the living room and stairwell. We also didn’t have actual blankets/comforters on the bed, they only had a thin sheet. We found some blankets in the master bedroom closet thankfully! Also while trying to check out, since it was the first snow of the season we were rushing around to leave and were a bit late to check out (our bad, we kept the host updated and apologized profusely) and the cleaning lady arrived as we were getting ready to walk out and she started complaining to someone on the phone about us in Spanish and we even told her we were just layering up to head out and she was more than welcome to come in and start so we don’t delay her. She just stared at us and continued talking mess in Spanish without know we spoke Spanish. I called her out and he just stared at me in shock. No apology or anything. Once we were trying to head down the stairs she blocked half the stairwell and me and my partner almost fell down the stairs with our suitcases. I wouldn’t recommend staying with these people if you don’t like feeling disrespected.

Rooms were clean, would’ve liked to have had paper towels and some more cups, but everything was nice and would definitely stay again. Host was very communicative and answered quickly. If anything it was my fault for not answering fast enough, but they were great 10 out of 10 experience.

We had the misfortune of booking our trip during a heat way, we suffered just like everyone else. It finally cooled down on July 5th. It was a very memorable family vacation.
