Our stay at Sundown Lodge was very good. The beds are comfortable and the gathering areas are spacious and clean. The bathrooms are narrow. The places we visited in the UP were all approx an hour from Sundown, so it was a great location for us. Communication with the hostess is excellent - thanks for helping us feel welcome, Courtney!

The property was clean and well maintained, for an older home. There were 3 couples, all of us "seniors" (over 65), so it was great that there were 3 separate bedrooms. It was also nice that there were two separate living areas, with TV's so those of us that didn't want to watch sports could check out a movie in the other room. The kitchen was a nice size and well stocked with dinnerware, flatware and bowls as well as cookware. There were several small appliances as well (coffee pots, toaster, blender and microwave (older but worked fine)). The only issue we had was the bathrooms were not set up well for us older folks. We would recommend putting a walk-in shower upstairs and a true shower downstairs for easier access. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back if we return to the area. Thanks for the hospitality.

Friends Trip to the UP

Great Central Location for Exploring Eastern UP

We liked having this as a place to end our busy day of exploring, It was a great location for us to go as far West as Munising and East to Mackinac Island and North to Whitefish Point. It is a 10 minute drive to Helmer House for an amazing breakfast or brunch. It was a quiet neighborhood and town. We enjoyed ourselves.

Communication with Courtney was great. She got the washer fixed in time for us to be able to use it. There was a lot of great space to spread out. We were able to use it as a great location to take day trips different directions. Things I wish we knew… air conditioning only in one bedroom upstairs. The large “bonus room” would get extremely hot -83 degrees during the day.., so not usable. It would cool down once we could open windows at night. I would not recommend for any mobility issues. There are 2 steps to get from one side of the house to the other. The cleaning needed to be done better. There was still pieces of food in the sink strainer, and cracker crumbs on the floors. 2 queen beds were very soft. Not horrible, but if you like a firm bed, this is not for you.

Nice place but needs some more updates

Property was good, but needs some improvements. Especially second floor bathroom etc. overall, it was nice place to stay after day long activities around Munising.

U.P. Visit

This home was great! It is centrally located near a lot of popular Northern attractions(Tahquemenon Falls, Oswald’s and Pictured Rocks to name a few). The house is clean and sleeps lots of people. It is has all your essential amenities included. We especially loved the back room for movies, great sound system!

Weekend Getaway

We selected this home due to it's location to the various attractions we wanted to visit in the Upper Peninsula. This house was perfect for two families, totally 11 people. It was spacious enough that we didn't feel on top of one another, had plenty of space to sleep and the kitchen was perfect for having breakfast and dinner together. The neighborhood itself was quiet and it was a short drive to get groceries.

Great clean place

Very clean and comfortable stay. Greg shared some “do-not-miss” places with us and that helped make our tour in the UP very memorable. We really appreciate that there was more than one roll of toilet paper and paper towel. There was plenty of backup. There were also simple things like salt and pepper and a few spices. Very cozy and homey. Would stay again.

Nice house

House was big, looked comfy, good location. Didn't end up staying due to inaccurate snow report. "Roads were completely bare" I had 5 veterans up for the seeney vet ride that were physically inable to load a trailer 3 days in a row so we stayed somewhere else

We really enjoyed our stay and especially loved having two bathrooms, which made it so much more convenient for our group. The house did get a little warm at times, so we all ended up camping out in the room with the air conditioning, which worked well. The property owner was excellent with communication and was always quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall, we had a great experience and already have our reservations for next summer;)
