Yet it still has a ambience of quiet serenity with its 180 views of the Pamlico river . We are a dog friendly house. Beautiful historical home, very functional that is pet friendly. The view of the sound and sunset were stunning. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and huge porches from and back made this a perfect setting for relaxing.

We had a great stay at William's place. All things downtown and riverfront are within a 15 minute walk from the house. We walked to dinner every night. The place was cozy, neighbors were lovely, and the backyard was perfect for our dogs. Beautiful river views and sunsets from the back porch. Would definitely stay there again if we return to Washington.

This was our second stay at the Sterling House. We love the updated kitchen with all we need for our stay. Check in and checkout we’re very easy. William was very responsive when I had a question. Our favorite part of the house is the spacious covered deck with a view of the river.

Beautiful location for a quiet getaway. The photos on VRBO don’t do it justice, it’s so quaint and cozy. The beds are comfy, the house was clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. William was a friendly and communicative host and the check-in and checkout were dead simple.10/10, we would definitely come back.

Beautiful Home on the Water

We loved the location of the house and the relaxing outdoor seating area looking on the water. House had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Owner is great with communication! Highly recommend!

William was a wonderful host! Communication was great! The home had a lot of character, and it was close to downtown. We were able to bring our fur babies too which was so nice! The back porch had a great view of the water and was so relaxing.

The house was well supplied with everything you need. The river view is beautiful. The bedroom next to the porch could use a headboard, or a protective board across the windows behind the bed. We had a great time there.
