Riverfront Cottage Close To Washington, Bath And Belhaven!

Discover the inner banks at the Pamlico Social Club. Our sweet little river cottage has historic charm with updated modern amenities. We're banking on you loving our beautiful river views & pier updates. On the street side, we are bordered by a mature pecan grove and have views of the adjacent inlet. Sleeping accommodations include two bedrooms, one with king size bed. The larger bedroom has a queen bed, & a bunk bed. Our living room has a mega comfortable 8 foot couch. Our kitchen facelift includes great cabinets & we are especially stoked about our brand new dishwasher. If it's a fishing expedition you have in mind, we have a great pier and boat dock. Test the waters and venture out after the fall run on striped bass, water ski, catch crabs from the pier, or just sit on the porch and take in the river view. We recommend that you shop at nearby Piggly Wiggly & test the fine cuisine at The Bank Bistro and Bar on Main Street or Washington Crab Shack. Explore all little Washington has to offer.

Heavenly

The location of this cozy cottage on a beautiful river makes for a stay that can’t be beat. We return every year and always come away refreshed and relaxed. The property is lovely and the hosts are gracious and congenial. Highly recommended.

Birthday Getaway

Upon arrival check in was quick and easy with excellent instructions. We were immediately drawn to the river and the new pier before going inside the property. Once we made it inside the cottage we were happy to see how well thought out things were. Like, anything that you may have not brought with you they had it there. I mean almost anything! The views from the sunroom area were phenomenal while enjoying breakfast/dinner. The sunsets in the evening were breath taking. Other than a few minor details I would give this place a 10 out of 10.

Riverfront House

The location of the home is right on the water and the view is excellent. The house was very clean and the parking was good. Was not expecting to have to make the bed when I arrived, not sure if that was in the information I received and it wasn't a big deal just one more step when I arrived later than expected. The sheets for the king bed could stand to be replaced. The home is older but it is close to downtown Washington and the view is amazing!

Quaint

Charming little house on the river, in a quiet neighborhood, clean, well appointed, with a lovely view. The downside is that the sun on the river side of the house can be bright and can overwhelm the air conditioning. Black-out curtains help, but when drawn, they obscure the view. Looking out over the river in the morning is lovely. Afternoons are bright and warm. I would be happy to book again in late fall, winter, or early spring. The house is conveniently located for touring Bath, Washington, Edenton, and Goose Creek State Park. We enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous stay, great location

Perfect for the visit to the area with my 87yr mother who has some mobility challenges - appreciated that you had railings on the stairs at the front and back of property! Very well equipped, clean accommodation and loved that you had a Keurig coffee maker! Fabulous layout, and we really enjoyed looking out at the wonderful view from the sunroom. Host was very responsive to queries, thank you. Glad too that you proactively look to keep waterbugs at bay, especially for us two Brits who are not used to them! Easy location to go visit neighboring towns too - Bellhaven, Bath and New Bern were all worth a visit. Overall a great trip and wonderful memories made. The sunsets were just spectacular!

Quaint house with amazing views of the river!

My husband, sister, brother-in-law and I spent three nights. We enjoyed eating our meals on the table by the window that overlooks the Pamlico River. We loved that both bedrooms had their private bathrooms. Even though the fish were not biting, we enjoyed fishing off the private dock. The neighborhood was very nice and quiet. I enjoyed cooking in the quaint little kitchen. Even though we appreciated the linens and towels being provided, our only suggestion is that it would have been nice not to have to put our sheets on the bed upon arrival. We would love to stay here again in the future! We loved the spaciousness of the house! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Home away from Home

We really enjoyed our stay. We felt at home. This listing was accurate, the place was clean and had everything we needed. Our main goal was to fish, fish and fish some more and we were able to do that with great accessibility to the water. There will be a repeat visit, Loved this location!! Thanks to the host!!

Trip for the annual NC Coastal event

Wonderful property - wish we had brought our kayaks. Plus, this was a great location to participate in the daily rides. We didn’t think we should have to wash - and put away the dishes b fire we left. Filling and running the dishwasher should have sufficed. A small thing - but it was our vacation.

Cozy Cottage

We stay at Pamlico Social Club every year and love every minute of it. The cottage is comfortable and well-equipped, and the owners are a joy to deal with in making reservations and checking on how our visit is going. The views from the house are unbeatable. You will LOVE this beautiful rental!

Nice cottage

This is a lovely, cozy and very spacious cottage. Beautiful and peaceful view of the river. Location is great, lots of restaurants and close to Greenville.

Best view ever

We came to stay in Washington to attend a family gathering and this house was close to the family hosting the gathering. It was the best view the minute you walk in the house. Charming and nicely taken care of are an understatement. This home is very loved. It had everything we needed and made the stay so enjoyable. We will be back.

Review

The house is in a beautiful location on the river. The boat lift didn't work which we weren't informed of and the water was low so we couldn't bring a boat in which was disappointing. The kayak paddles weren't available so we had to ask for them. There were electrical cords from lamps in inconvenient places in the bedrooms which caused one of our guests to trip and fall. Everything else was fine.

"Pleasant Stay"

Cute cottage. Facility & Grounds well maintained. Liked the "solid" bunk beds; especially with kids 'in tow". Very warm temps during our stay so you had to pay attention to using AC & Fans strategically. Owners posted great instructions to do so. Recommend letting tenants know trash pick-up, while we were there, is Friday. Found "perm- anent neighbors pleasant / friendly. Found communication with owner, using VRBO as the conduit, not timely ( 5 days). Suggested (as a nice touch) a listing of some recommended / suggested NON Chain Restaurants in local area (not easy to find ). Awaiting small rebate from owner via Vrbo. Bottom Line: We would stay here again !

Pretty place, but not for boat owners

The house is nicely located, but the boat lift “was not available due to liability issues” and the outlets in the dock area were not operational. The owner said they “hadn’t restored the power to it since the last storm.” Luckily, we happened to have extension cords with us. Also, the waters are pretty rough in the area ( even on nice and clear days), and without a lift, you’d need to take your boat out of the water every day to keep it safe. I wouldn’t recommend this house to boat owners. The house itself was nice and the kitchen was well-stocked. It was nice too that each of the two bedrooms had a private bathroom. We had a friend stay over with us overnight and it was nice not to share our bathroom. Note that you’ll be required to make the bed(s). The owner leaves the sheets on the beds. Also, the instructions on the fridge require you to load the dishwasher and put the dishes away before you leave. This is a little inconvenient. I gave the house a rating of 3 because it was not convenient to boat owners, the bedding and dishwasher requirements, and we also found a dead roach on the kitchen floor on our last day. Overall, it’s a nice quaint house for non-boat owners.

Peaceful,comfortable home feel

Loved the at home feel. There were 5 of us from Tn staying. However during the days all of my nieces and nephews (that live locally)showed up to play,swim and make fun memories . This was a perfect place for us instead of a hotel.
