Jim was the best host from beginning to the end of our trip. The house was in a great location, easy parking, and felt like a true vacation. Highly recommend.

A wonderful home base for a girls’ weekend in Newport. The location made it so easy to get around and enjoy everything the area has to offer, and we especially loved the backyard setup. It gave us even more space to spread out and hang together, and we were lucky enough to enjoy some beautiful late September weather out there. Jim was kind, responsive, and a pleasure to communicate with throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely come back!

Jim, the host, was great with the ease of checking in and reactive to an issue with pans ahead of our check in. Listing was accurate with the exception of a coffee grinder and dvd being available. Great location/access to beaches and Newport.

The Nor’easter Couldn’t Dampen Our Spirits!The Chateau exceeded every expectation. Because the season’s first nor’easter kept us indoors more than planned, we especially appreciated how comfortably the home accommodated our family. The family room, dining room, and finished basement were tastefully decorated, cozy, spacious, and ideal for relaxing together. Our hosts were gracious and genuinely concerned about our well-being throughout the storm. They made sure we arrived safely, checked in without difficulty, and had everything we needed to settle in. The Middletown location also provided convenient access to grocery stores, sightseeing by car, and downtown Newport. Although the weather prevented us from visiting the local beaches, we highly recommend a drive along Ocean Avenue, a tour of the Duke family’s Rough Point mansion and museum, dinner at the White Horse Tavern, and stops at classic Newport favorites such as the Black Pearl and Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant. We would gladly stay at the Chateau again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Newport area—an easy five-star experience!

This was the perfect place for our stay- especially with its walking distance to the starting line at Easton’s First Beach for the race we were participating in. Not having to worry about parking or shuttles made the entire experience so much easier and more enjoyable. Jim’s communication was excellent and made everything seamless from start to finish!

Great location!

This property was in a great location for a variety of family interests and activities. The quiet neighborhood was also perfect for taking the dog for walks. Definitely recommend for small family getaways!

Fantastic cottage!

We loved our stay. The cottage was very clean, conveniently located, and had everything you could possibly need. Owners were very sweet and accessible. Look forward to hopefully staying again in the future!

We had a wonderful stay. Perfect spot for visiting family in Newport. Cozy, clean accommodations. Nice location that is convenient to beaches and short distance to town & restaurants. Great hosts.

Perfect location!

Stayed with my aunt and sister for some family fun. Perfect location for all the local activities we enjoyed! The home was clean and the space was great for spending time together! Would definitely book again if back in the Newport area.

Everything was great! Close to beach and downtown. Beautiful yard and patio. Quiet street. Jim sent us a coffee maker the day we checked in because it was missing!

Great location!

Great little place in MIddletown. Comfortable, clean and well appointed. Jim was a great host (thanks for the local wine!) and very responsive. The house is close to Newport wharf area, beaches, Cliff Walk entrance, restaurants & bars. Perfect location for attending a family wedding in Newport, or a sightseeing / beach vaca. Would highly recommend!

Clean, spacious place

This “chateau” was just what we were looking for in our travel to RI. It was in a safe, quiet neighborhood, had an amazing up to date kitchen and cute sea decor. Thank you for having us!
