3 Bedroom 3 Bath w/ Roof Top Deck in the Heart of Newport

The Downtown Eagles Nest is a 3 bedroom / 3 bathroom condo located in the heart of downtown Newport. This a second & third floor property, directly above retail shops. Each bedroom has a king size bed each with an adjacent bathroom. There is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the second floor. With one bedroom, one bathroom, a cozy eat in kitchen and living room on the third floor. You can access the roof top deck (seasonal) from the third floor. AC window units are installed in the high summer season. One parking spot provided on property.

Please note, This unit is downtown and it can be noisy. Also, we have a two night minimum and prefer to rent Friday & Saturday nights together. If you are looking for a Thursday & Friday OR Saturday & Sunday please message us for accurate pricing. Holiday weekends have a three night minimum. If you are looking to stay longer over a holiday weekend and are having trouble booking please message us. Also, if you have questions regarding pricing we only negotiate summer pricing within a 4 weeks of the stay. Feel free to reach out regarding off season pricing or long term stays. Lastly, if you are looking for an early check in or a late check out we will be unable to guarantee this until the week of your reservation as it depends on other guests checking in or out.

You will be contacted within 24 hours of your arrival by VRBO with check in instructions. Check in is 3 pm and check out is 10am.

Great time in a sweet spot

Three comfy king beds and each with their own bathroom. Can’t beat that. The location was perfect as we got to watch the parade from the top deck. Definitely would return again!

Ideal location!

Great location. Perfect for three couples as each room has a large bed and its own bathroom. Given the location, there is some street noise (to be expected) so just something for others to be aware of when booking. Was not an issue for us.

Wonderful holiday vacation

Perfect location, cozy bedrooms and a wonderful stay. Spent 6 days in Newport right before Christmas. Could walk to almost everything and when we drove the parking spot was a huge plus. We really lucked out with the weather & had several beautiful days. But even on the last rainy day we walked & shopped all day. My kids loved having their own rooms. The beds were very comfortable, the upper deck was a huge plus even in winter. I appreciated the space heater by the bathroom. Newport is magical during the holidays and I highly recommend Yachting Village.

Location

It was a great location to walk or drive from. Shops, restaurants and grocery stores close. Like other reviews it is very noisy when the bars close. the upper rooftop was enjoyable for am coffee ! It is in great need of repair though. There are rotted floorboards and nails sticking out.

Perfect Place For Newport Getaway

This charming rental is perfectly situated within walking distance of anything and everything in the heart of Newport. We are a group of 6 moms who snuck away for a weekend; accommodations were spacious and comfortable and perfect for our gathering. The rental is well stocked with basics including linens and towels. There is one parking spot and we had absolutely no problems finding additional parking nearby. We definitely want to come back again and stay here in the warmer weather to take full advantage of the roof deck! Kate, the owner, is kind, communicates extremely well and is responsive. I could not recommend this place more highly for your next visit to Newport.

The house is right on Thames street, which is prime location! Was very nice to be able to park the park for the weekend and then just walk everywhere. The street can be very loud at times, but having air conditioning unit in every room toned the sound out for the most part. The house had all the essentials which made it easy to pack. No need to lug around shampoo body’s wash etc. The house is definitely older and some rooms are not level. The roof deck could def use some love. The listing needs to be updated cause it’s three bedroom three baths and some parts of this listing says 2, but when messaging to confirm I receive very quick responses. I would stay in this house again and highly recommend.

Three couples booked this property for a wedding. Our trip was in June, Father's day weekend. This was the perfect spot for our needs and the size of our group. We walked to breakfast, and to some of the wedding activities. The morning of the wedding, the guys went downstairs and got a haircut. The location was super convenient. We had the one parking spot, and the 2 other couples found a lot nearby to park an leave their car. We had a great time and were very happy with our location. This is a great place to stay. There are stairs and there is a lot of noise on the streets - either trucks early in the morning or late night walkers. But we expected this since we were in the heart of the shopping, restaurants and bars. I sleep with a sound machine, so I wasn't bothered by the noise.

A wedding weekend

The vrbo was not clean. There was still laundry in the washing machine. We asked for an extra set of linens before we arrived which weren’t provided. For our event we could have been further off the Main Street which is loud.

Good location, lots of space, needs upkeep

On Thames, the location is wonderful. There’s plenty of space and the room unit A/Cs work well. Beds are comfy & kitchen is usable to cook. The property is clean, but needs upkeep and updating. The house is peeling paint, roof deck is splintering, curtain holders are pulled out of walls, marks on the walls from other people’s luggage bumping, etc.

Fantastic, Safe, and Simple

Our group had a fantastic time and loved the property. This time of year in Newport creates a different travel experience and doing a little homework ahead of time really helped with the trip. Newport is a great place to visit and the property served it’s purpose perfectly. The host maintained communication and all questions and concerns were addressed in good time. Additionally, I forgot an item behind that was both valuable and important. The host contacted me and made me aware of that and I was able to get the item back quickly. I am very thankful to the host, have no complaints, and highly recommend the property!

Girl’s weekend

We are a group of 5 friends who have known each other for over 40 years. We get together every February and go on a girl’s only weekend trip. This property was a perfect location…lots of shopping, restaurants, mansion tours, the ocean, etc. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun time.

Convenient, just a bit noisy

We had a mixed experience. Third floor was nice and we enjoyed having our own bathrooms. Drawbacks: 2nd floor bedrooms noisy from street traffic and heating system, so we had a hard time sleeping. Unfortunately, my sheets were not clean and I had to unexpectedly change the sheets at bedtime. Overall, pro's and con's.

Weekend getaway

Not suitable for Family

Beware of this property, it is not what appears in the pictures and is not suitable for a family. The building is in terrible shape, old and run down. The living space is on the 3rd floor up floor narrow flights of stairs. One section of the stairs has no railing. There is rear entrance with a steep set of stairs protected at the by a flimsy wooden gate. While there is a lock on the rear door, it did not appear to be very secure. The unit was musty smelling and the beds had thin foam mattresses. To enter the building from the front, renters compete with retail shop customers as the door is between two shops. We left the property and did not stay. That's how disappointing this place was. Don't let the pictures fool you. This might be a place for 20 somethings who don't care about quality and cleanliness. Its a crash pad, not for anyone with family, children or discriminating freinds.
