Get off the grid without going far. The river-side home offers ample yard space as well as a covered gathering area and porch over the river. The Chauga has great fishing as well as kayaking/tubing and many local adventures and dining experiences. Please be advised that cell service in limited or non-existent depending on your provider. There is also no Cable or satellite, but there is now high-speed WiFi.

Valentine getaway

The quaint cabin on the river is awesome! We already are planning to return when the weather is warmer and we can enjoy the yard and river. There are two waterfalls nearby and a nice bar and grill about ten-fifteen minutes away. The place was clean and private.

Wanna get away?

This location is just beyond the reach of cell service, so it’s the perfect place to just disconnect and enjoy the calming sounds of the river.

Cozy cabin

The cabin is perfect, it was clean and inviting. The perfect place to unplug from everything. We loved just sitting by the creek listening to the water and nature. I would recommend the o anyone and I will be returning myself. Thank you to the property owners for allowing us to have such a peace easy experience.

Upon arrival, Wife had swept porch off because of the dirt on it (excessive). Smoke alarm in the bedroom is gone, mount still there. Looked at cookware, the small skillet was teflon and it was excessively scratched. I went and bought a cast iron at Ingles. I think its setup for a soup kitchen...lol. The interior was clean ,exterior no. Outdoor furniture on porch ,nasty dirty. Went to use outdoor cooking area Filthy dirty. We didnt use. Went to use dishwasher when leaving, latch is broken so water spewed everywhere. We have stayed in several vrbo units and this one is at the bottom. The host is a property management company and stated he wasnt aware of certain things. I told him I would be leaving an honest review. I guess no one has said anything to them. The outside areas have been seriously neglected along with some of the homes. The cooking area outside has open electrical boxes too. Not safe. At one time this used to be a beautifulplace. Seriously it is very peaceful,and relaxing. It just needs alot of love to bring it back. Broken fountains, abandoned furniture,kayaks just laying around. I hate to see a property in this condition. I really think some things are from vandalism. A stair riser is kicked in, a concrete patio set the seats pushed over. Questionable for sure. I dont think we will be staying here again. This rental didnt check my boxes off.

Great time

Was great to be able to get away from cell service and be with nature, took a hike down to the water and not to far from the cottage there was another great hiking area. Great place

Just what the Doctor ordered ❤️

My partner and I had the most wonderful time. Beautiful, relaxing and quiet. Fall leaves, listening to the water and relaxing by the fire. Waterfalls and hiking trails are just a short drive away. A great way to just reset, be present and spend spend quality time. We will definitely go back ❤️

GREAT ESCAPE

if you are looking for an escape from being bothered, this is it! No internet or WIFI was just what the doctored ordered. The river was amazing and the house though small, was quaint.

Perfect get away

We had a wonderful time at the property. There was plenty of room to roam, with a short walk to throw a line in. Check in and communication for our stay was very easy. There is a nice porch swing covered by the stream and plenty of camping chairs. We were 2 hours from Stone Mountain, 1 hr from the Dillard House, and about 15-20 mins from many other look outs, and nature stops. Our family enjoyed this cabin and would stay again.

Looks can be deceiving! What is that smell?

The property was not very well maintained. The outside area was unkept and mildewed furniture. Inside the house smelled of mold or some kind of musky odor like no one has been there in awhile. It was freezing in the house and no instructions on how to operate the gas fireplace to get it lit. We were so disappointed that we left and went to a hotel. Of course now the owner doesn’t want to issue refund even though we didn’t stay at all. Said if we would have contact sooner but I did call said owner and he was going to contact property manager. So we will see how this ends up. Always have been satisfied with VRBO till now.

This review is extremely misleading. Though property manager’s contact info was available, this guests asked a neighbor for the owner’s phone number. The property manager, the only person who deals with this rental, was not contacted for around 40 hours after scheduled check-in. We were not given the chance to offer any customer service. This property has been well received by around a dozen guests thus far through different sites, and if addressed properly we would have been happy to attempt to remedy any complaints. After keeping the property from being rented by anyone else for two nights, the guests refused an offer to refund of over 50%, demanding a full refund. The home has been recently used, is thoroughly cleaned between guests, and is cheaper than the average hotel room.
