Come find rest and relaxation at River Haven. Our beautiful new cottage is located directly on the banks of the Chauga River and is secluded within 10 acres.

The cottage is light and airy with large windows and high ceilings throughout for viewing the river and surrounding area. The cozy, well appointed living space provides a complete kitchen, master bedroom, living area with sleeping sofa, and bath. In addition to the beautiful indoor space, two porches and a hammock area are available to enjoy the rushing river sounds. A riverside firepit and sitting area will also provide an excellent opportunity for relaxation.

Visitors of River Haven, will enjoy fishing, tubing, kayaking, and swimming in front of the cabin or simply curling up with a book listening to the river. Also you may experience the thrill of Chattooga White Water rafting just 15 minutes from the cottage.

If you enjoy hiking, nearby waterfalls provide for wonderful hiking opportunities. Boating and skiing activities can also be enjoyed on nearby Keowee, Jocassee, and Hartwell lakes. Other areas of interest nearby are Chattooga Belle Farm Distillery & Vineyards, Clemson University Tiger football, Brooks Center for the Performing Arts, Duke Power World of Energy, antiquing, and shopping just to name a few.

Great, cozy stay

The house was just as described. Right on the river, well-appointed, clean and cozy. Loved the furnishings and lamp lighting inside and the porch life outside. Strong WiFi and smart tv was a plus, and it’s about 10 minutes from an Ingles. Would definitely recommend!

Quite Getaway

The property was very nice. Easy location to get too,only mishap that we had was when we were going to get something to eat and we got stuck leaving the property. My husband put it in 4 wheel drive and we got out. I wouldn’t advise anyone to drive a car here. But overall we loved it!!!

Cozy cabin getaway

This cabin was awesome! The location is super quiet and peaceful with the river out front. The driveway is long and allows you to feel secluded and tucked away in your own little oasis. The cabin itself is very clean and super cozy for a nice weekend getaway.

Ahhhhhhhhhh…..serenity

We needed a getaway where we felt like we were the only ones around, and it didn’t disappoint! Serene quiet atmosphere with a small calm river. The cabins decor was absolutely beautiful, and it was tidy and quaint. Absolutely lovely.

Excellent getaway

My wife and I spent our 10 hear anniversary here and specifically chose this location for privacy and the river views and it did not dissappoint. The cabin itself is very nice and has everything you need and is very comfortable and cozy. The firepit and outside seating makes for a very inviting and comfortable outside space too. The river itself is very calm and serene,and it would make a great spot to do some trout fishing if one desired.I would highly recommend this for a couples retreat or a small family to enjoy.

Great Cabin Getaway!

If you're looking for a great place to get away with great views, go ahead and book this one! This cabin is clean, comfortable, and well-furnished. We stayed two nights and had everything we needed. We took a dip in the creek that runs right outside the cabin. My wife says we'll be staying here again.

This truly is a Hidden Gem

River Haven was the most magical, beautiful little hideaway. Tucked out of the way, down a long dirt road through beautiful wooded property, this tiny house opens up to a beautiful river. The house was perfectly appointed with all our needs perfectly met. We enjoyed wading in the water outside and sunning on the rocks. Would definitely enjoy visiting here again.

Beautiful Setting, Cute Modern Cottage, Super Clean

We loved staying here and look forward to returning to the area! The cottage is modern, very clean, and well stocked. My family really enjoyed the proximity to the river, just steps from the porch. Communication with the host was prompt and professional. Check in/out was a breeze. Definitely recommend! Five stars :)

Retreat

Loved the house and the view. The river was very soothing. The only drawback was the ruts in the road which my car couldn’t navigate so I got stuck. The owners kindly called a tow truck for me.

The Perfect River Hideaway

The property is literally just how it’s pictured. So cute very modern house with so much privacy and an insanely gorgeous view. We only left the place once to go see some waterfalls and the Stumphouse Mountain Tunnel(I highly suggest checking it out) and the rest of the days I floated on a float and my boyfriend fished right there in the backyard. We spent the evenings by the fire pit and enjoying listening to the creek on the swing and hammock. Will absolutely be returning. Just a heads up the driveway is pretty steep and I would suggest doing what we did and just bringing a couple coolers with groceries. 10/10 29th birthday trip.

small and cozy

My husband took the kids here for a little getaway before starting back at school. They thoroughly enjoyed it. The kids were able to spend most of their time in the river either floating or fishing. They caught several fish every day.

Beautiful

The property was absolutely beautiful. It was the relaxing getaway we were looking for. Went white water rafting about 20 min away and just down the road was a 1 mile hike to falls and swimming hole. Also fished and played in the river on the property grounds. Phone service/wifi was hit or miss on the property, but disconnecting was not necessarily a bad thing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Exceeded expectations

The property was breathtaking. No matter which window you looked out you were surrounded by the forest and some directions you could almost reach out and touch the slow flowing river. I am one that loves to cook however, on this trip, I did not but the kitchen had everything you could imagine .Utensils, dishes, pots, and pans , bottle openers. The bathroom had plenty of towels and face cloths. To side porches were fantastic citronella candle to keep away the bugs in the evening Floor to ceiling windows in the living room and the bedroom. You were so secluded that it felt like you could almost reach out and touch the stars. They were so brilliant you could lay in bed and look out the top windows and see the moon. I cannot say enough about this property. I stayed in many VRBO’s. it took a while for me to get the television to work. That was not a drawback for me because I wanted to get away from the city and social media. There were plenty of information sheets supplied be sure to go to Steph’s steaks. Owners originally from Philadelphia this place had the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had in South Carolina and I have been living here for 10 years shout out to them. Cozy Riverside Cabin in a Peaceful, Secluded Setting

This contemporary cabin, a Clayton Homes i-house, is the perfect size for a couple and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. A gated private road through hilly woods leads to this peaceful, private, and secluded property on the banks of the Chauga River. The setting is very quiet other than the sound of water rushing over the shallow rapids. River Haven is a relaxing, romantic, enjoyable vacation.

Peaceful getaway

Impressive vacation rental! Did not disappoint. Very well equipped. Well taken care of. Cleaner than most any rental you will find. In the summer, take bug spray though.

Nice short getaway?

This is a quiet location and so peaceful! My teens had a great time exploring the river and we were close enough to all sorts of other great adventures to visit many places. The house was super clean with amazing views.
