Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great stay!

The property looked at advertised in the posting and pics. We had 8 family members 20 yo and up. Enjoyed the quietness of the area and the close proximity to the beach. The balcony was great in the evenings too.

4th of July vacation week

The house itself was wonderful—clean, spacious, and very well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We really appreciated how well-maintained the property was inside. However, the experience outside left a bit to be desired. There were cigarette butts scattered all over the back deck when we arrived, which was disappointing. Also, while the rental rules clearly state that everything should be removed from the beach daily, many guests left tents and chairs up all week. The house two doors down (to the left if you're facing the ocean) had three black labs that were allowed to relieve themselves on the beach, and the owners simply covered the mess with sand—not exactly ideal for families walking barefoot. Despite clear rules about no fireworks and no lights on the beach after dark, it felt like a free-for-all. Unfortunately, there seemed to be very little enforcement of these rules in the area. That said, the house itself was fantastic—just wish the surrounding beach community had followed the rules a bit more closely.

I came with a group of my son’s HS Senior friends. The house and location was great, away from the business of Gulf Shores, basically had the beach to ourselves, and the home had all the things needed to keep a group of high school boys entertained and not wanting to go anywhere else which I loved!!!

Loved!

This was a perfect beach house for our family! The view of the ocean as soon as you walk through the doors is stunning and all the bedrooms are comfortable. Everything is decorated so well with tons of hand painted artwork. We will definitely be back!

Excellent accommodations for FAMILY or LARGE GROUP!

Excellent home and accommodations with great space and location. Very quietly located some 20 plus minutes back into Gulf Shores. Perfect for family and more quiet and less crowded down time!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Nice stat needs updating

Loved having beach toys there. Location was great. Super beach access. There were dirty towels left in a closet. The dryer took 3 cycles to get clothes dry need New dryer.

Barefoot Beach

We have a group of 8 ladies from Louisiana that have a girl's trip every year. This is our 3rd year at this house and can't wait until next year. The beach is so close. We love all the space and the back porch

We loved barefoot beach!

Me and my 11 friends loved barefoot beach so much. We loved how secluded it was and the views were amazing. We had no trouble checking in or out and the house was very clean. There was also a storage shed with lots of fun beach toys that we were pleasantly surprised to find. I will keep barefoot beach in mind for future vacations!

Great house and location

The house was just as described in the listing. Great location. We’ve stayed in several homes in Fort Morgan and this one is one of our favorites! We would definitely rent again. We had 6 adults which is plenty for the size of the house.

Incredible view

Barefoot Beach is an adorable house right on the water - on deck, in the living room or front bedrooms you have the best beach view ever. The decor is cute - property matched its pictures. We enjoyed the open kitchen with lots of counter space. We also slept well on comfy mattresses. The whole place was clean clean clean.

Our overall stay was wonderful!!!!! We had so much fun and the house was great. The only thing was that the beds were listed as "Queens" and they were not. I have a queen bed at home and these beds were smaller.

Perfect peaceful getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay at Barefoot Beach! We stayed with our friends and their kids (8 people total) and I’m not sure who had more fun! The kids loved being able to just go outside and play safely and within view of the house at all times. The layout of the house is perfect for two families giving enough separation but also plenty common space to hangout with everyone. The beach was not crowded at all especially considering it was spring break. The storage room offered all the beach toys and chairs that we needed along with a grill for dinners. Even when it was raining, we enjoyed hanging out under the house on the swing & playing games. We’ve already started planning our next visit!

Beautifully furnished and decorated beach home!

We were quite pleased with how up to date and modern everything was. Equipped with everything we needed and the outdoor furniture (including a swing!) was very high quality. Love the split floor plan and that the two “main” bedrooms have sliding doors that lead to the deck with an amazing beach view. My only issue was the property description in the listing said QUEEN bed in each of the two main bedrooms; they actually seem to be double, not queen beds. We didn’t actually measure…….but the bed was too small for my husband and I to be able to share and I ended up sleeping in one of the other bedrooms. Thank goodness there were plenty of beds to choose from!

Location/location/location

Beachfront is the word to describe the location. This house is one of the cleanest, crispest VRBO we have ever stayed in. Private beach with dolphins in front of us and Navy Jets above us. Fun restaurant choices within minutes. Everything you would need within 30 minutes in Gulf Shores. This is a shallow beach so great for smaller kids. Would stay here again and be more prepared. There are no soaps-of any kind /no paper products/no kitchen towels or dish towels(had to use bath wash cloths and bath hand towels) / no beach towles/ the beach supplies were plentiful but mostly broken. Beautiful accommodations with a few glitches. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful beach & view, but short on necessities

We loved the house--there was plenty of space for our family of 8 adults. The view was gorgeous and we enjoyed the privacy of being further down the peninsula. The only negative was that it wasn't made clear that the owners only provided a "starter kit" for things like toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods, etc. There also wasn't any coffee filters or napkins. If we had known ahead of time, we would have purchased these with the groceries we picked up before check in. We ended up having to make a special trip back to town to get enough to make it through our stay.

Loved the house! Did NOT love the management company

I want to start by saying that this review in no way has anything to do with the property itself or the owners of the house. The house itself was wonderful. It was very nicely updated and renovated. The kitchen is spacious and the house had everything that was needed for the entire trip. The day of check-in we arrived to the house right at 4pm like the directions stated. When we walked in there was a large garbage bag on one of the couches with sheets. The sheets smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. No bed was made, and pillows were all over the floors in the bedrooms. We immediately notified vacasa who stated they would send over the manager. The manager came and she was very polite and apologized but did not have sheets to replace the ones in the garbage bags. She left and returned with more sheets in a garbage bag that also smelled of smoke. We decided at that point because it was getting later in the night that we would wash all the sheets ourselves and make up the beds. There was also noted to be food on the baseboards from the previous guest that had not been cleaned. The main complaint was the temperature in the house never got below 80 degrees even at night. Maintenance came and said everything was fine. Vacasa did not try to help in the situation at all. We would rent the house again but only under different management.
