Cozy Beach getaway on Private Property with Private Beach Access!

This beach home was featured on the A&E show VACATION RENTAL POTENTIAL!


This beautiful house has everything you need for a wonderful vacation! 3 bedroom/2 Bath with a large open kitchen and living area. A very private beach area with only one other house to share beach access. Immediate beach access on private property. Cable and wifi are available as well as a large open deck, picnic bench, and outside shower with privacy door. You will love this home for your getaway vacation! This house is great for those who love fishing! Excellent location that is close to the marina!
You will love this home and its professionally decorated interior, 2 relaxing TV rooms, fully equipped kitchen, and location to the beach, marina, and golf courses!

Should a hurricane or tropical storm threaten our area, we will follow the guidance of governing officials as pertaining to mandatory evacuations. Weather is beyond our control and does not constitute a refund. However, some weather-related issues may be covered by travel insurance, which must be purchased through vrbo - This is always a good idea during hurricane season.

We had a great trip. Love the Fort Morgan area and the Mermaid Stop was a perfect location A few steps from the beach great parking and a cozy and relaxing spot to unwind in. We found everything we needed and would definitely recommend this host and property to anyone !

We’ve stayed at Mermaid stop twice . Both times were great. It’s well stocked with easy access to the beach. Planning on using this house again!

We had a great stay! Everything was as described and we had easy beach access. We had some issues getting Google Maps and Waze to find the address- both kept taking us to an address down the street, but once we found the correct location, we could easily spot the home from the road and had no other issues finding it when we went out. Our host was quick to answer questions and checked to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely vacation here again!

Upon arrival the first evening, discovered floors were gritty, sand was in the linen on the master bed. There was dried liquid on the walls in the kitchen and master bedroom. The refrigerator had broken shelves. Every interior door in the house would either stick or would not close. The master bathroom had mold/mildew on the ceiling. There was dust caked on the light fixtures and mirror in the master bathroom. One of the mini-blinds in the master bedroom had several broken blades on them. The pillows were brown from stains and the majority of the furniture had several stains on them. Lastly, the flooring in both bathrooms had soft spots. We were only there for the holiday weekend so I chose not to notify the property owner. I did notify the owner at the conclusion of our stay and addressed all of the above listed concerns. The response was that they would come look at the property and speak with Reed Realty in Fort Morgan, the property manager. There was never any offer for any refund NOR was there any apology for the condition of the rental. And on top of that, we were charged 300 cleaning fee and 143 service fee for something that was obviously not clean prior to our arrival. I completed the evaluation/survey for Reed Realty and turned in at checkout. We have yet to hear anything from Reed. I will not be renting ANY properties in the future in Fort Morgan managed by Reed Realty.

I do apologize for any issues you had - and they did come out immediately after departure. I wish you had reached out to them at the numbers provided in your arrival info - they would have sent out new housekeeping etc to address any problems during your stay but no one heard anything until after you left. They did not find mold - but did find some dust on the vents which unfortunately happens over time. The service fee is a vrbo thing and there is no control over their charges. All other things that were found have been remedied.

Great place to relax

We had such a wonderful time here. The house was very comfortable for our group. The privacy and beach access right out the front door was the best! Very quiet, safe place for adults and children. Would recommend!

great stay!

Had a great time. Plenty of room for all of my family and it was right on the beach. Felt very comfortable and safe. Lots to do outside of the beach, but the beach was the best part. Clear water, crab hunting, fishing just so much fun.

AMAZING!!!

This place is perfect for a beach stay!!!! The beaches are beautiful and the house has everything you need! The owner answered all my questions and was so easy to work with. We can't wait to come back here for our next vacation!

Great location!!

Absolute Perfection

What an absolutely darling house in a quiet spot! We loved every minute of our stay. I don’t think I’ve ever checked in to a cleaner home, and it is so well equipped with all the necessities. Short walk to the perfect beach. I wish I could have stayed forever! Will definitely rebook! Don’t hesitate to book this adorable house!!

Beach trip

Beach house was a short walk to the beach which was great. Beds were comfortable, great water pressure, wonderful a/c, no bugs. We would stay again. There wasn’t an ice maker in the fridge or ice trays. Would recommend stopping at the dollar general and grabbing a few bags of ice on the way in.

Perfect location for peace and quiet

I rented this property for a Thanksgiving get together. We wanted somewhere quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. This property was perfect for that. The owner was great. She communicated with me quickly and easy. We had a great time!
