Beautifully Crafted Log Home, furnished for the ultimate in comfort and relaxation! Enjoy an amazing natural forest view from the large covered back deck with constant beautiful wildlife visitors. The fire pit is perfectly set up for a night roasting s'mores or just hanging out by the fire. Tucked away from all of the noise and traffic but minutes to the amazing attractions Beech Mountain has to offer: Buckeye Lake Recreation Center (1.2 mi), Entrance to Beech Mountain Ski Resort (3 mi), Fred's Mercantile (4 mi), Over 40 Hiking and Nature Trails!

Up to 2 dogs allowed with pet fee ($35 per night)

Ring Spotlight Camera, located at front door of the cabin showing front steps, driveway and bear cage trash area. For security purposes only.

Fishing Buckeye Lake: NC Trout License required age 16 and older
Buckeye Lake and Recreation Center: Available to guests for a small daily or weekly rate. Includes a gym, basketball courts, baseball fields, a kids room and more.
Access to Beech Mountain club facilities with accompanying transfer fee.

The cabin is really nice and the hosts were extremely friendly throughout the process. That being said I do think everyone should be aware that there is no AC at the property and in the hotter days of summer it gets very warm. I hadn't seen any mention of it anywhere in the listing, so just putting it here, if you are considering booking during the hotter months just be wary that it can get toasty.

We were surprised to read your review because, when we spoke after your stay, you shared that you had enjoyed your visit and that your only disappointment was the unusually warm weather, which kept you from hiking as much as you had hoped. Our listing is designed to accurately reflect the amenities we provide, and air conditioning is not listed, as many mountain cabins in this area do not have A/C due to the typically mild climate. We always encourage guests to review the listing details before booking to ensure a property has the amenities that are most important to them. Your stay coincided with an unusually hot stretch in July, which is uncommon for our elevation. We appreciate your feedback and remain committed to providing an accurately represented property and a great experience for our guests.

We had a great time in Banner Elk! Our cabin accommodated our family of four, plus our dog, very well. They even provided dog blankets which was perfect for our pup.

My wife and I have had great stays in this property! This was our second. The only complaint is something none of us can control - the weather. Both times we have missed the snow by one day. Great hosts. Look forward to staying here again!

We loved the cabin and the Hosts! Communication was great! They made check-in and check-out a very smooth process for us, being first time users of Vrbo. The cabin was just what we were looking for. It was very clean and provided every amenity we needed for our 4-night stay. We highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again in the future.
Deer around every morning. Saw up to 7 at a time.

Great stay for our family. Short drive to Beech Mountain Ski Resort and other restaurants and attractions in the village of Beech Mountain. Also a short drive to numerous hiking trails. Abundant wildlife all over the mountain. Buy some ingredients to make s'mores at Fred's Mercantile and relax by the outdoor firepit.

Fantastic getaway

Beautiful cabin in a private setting. Our group of 4 had a wonderful time and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the firepit and the beautiful deck. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome cabin and location

We loved the location & cleanliness of this lovely cabin. Owners were attentive but gave us privacy as well. Furnished with everything you will need. We will definitely return.

Quiet & Cozy Getaway

We had a great stay at the cabin tucked back off a quiet road. The dogs loved hanging on the back deck looking for deer. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Comfy and clean linens. Great communication with hosts and a great value. Would recommend to a friend or stay again!

Mountain Getaway

My wife, the dog and I had an amazing weekend. The house was great and had that peaceful cabin feel while still being close to plenty of activities, restaurants, etc. We would definitely come again.
