Hi Brady - Thanks for staying with us and for your kind words. The barn was actually built as the apartment (not converted), it was the original owners main house while they built the larger residence,.which is why it's so well constructed and so comfortable. We were about to bring over the firewood and heard you scavenging in the woods as we had also mentioned you were welcome to do (and that's how we get our kindling and small firewood) so we did not bring it . We figured you would ask againif you needed any, but hopefully you still had a great time and were able to make a fire. As far as the power, yes, we definitely could have fired up the generator and offered to do that, but you said you were on the way out. We keep an extra generator for the barn, specifically to make sure guests are always comfortable. Unfortunately we did lose power for 3 hours due to utilities work in the area. It doesn't happen often but we are always prepared when it does. Thanks for being great guests and maybe we will see you next time !
