We loved our stay! This is a great property for a multi-generational group - many activities for all ages and, best of all, lots of space to spread out! Communication was excellent and we truly were able to have a real family vacation. Thank you!

This property definitely lived up to and even exceeded expectations. The property manager was always available but otherwise unobtrusive. Kitchen was probably the best and most complete that we have experienced. Definitely appreciated the pool, hot tub, and pickleball court. We would be happy to stay there again.

This is a beautiful home with plenty of space to eat, play games, and relax. We really enjoyed the new pickleball court and the swimming pool. Also played some pool! The sunsets never disappoint!

Everything was fantastic! They were so quick to respond with any questions we had and it was the best stocked house! They had tons of bowls and anything we needed for cooking. It was very spacious and our family friends loved the dock for fishing, pickle ball courts and of course the pool! Highly recommend!

Walking in to 1503 Elk Forest Rd. was like walking into a magic kingdom. There were 11 of us and when we arrived, after a great lunch at Chesapeake Inn, we all ran in different directions to check out our home for the week. The home is beautiful, well equipped, and brought the light immediately as we all went for a swim on such a hot day. The week went smoothly with Games, walks, world soccer, swimming in river and pool, discovering the area, eating, shopping and being together. Thank you for our memories.

This vacation home is beautiful and spacious! We really enjoyed family meals on the porch, playing pool, going in the hot tub and watching the sunsets! We would totally rent this home again!

River House Retreat

Best location ever....beautiful views of the river...awesome salt water pool overlooking the river..very clean..well furnished...private spacious grounds Barbara was a friendly available host

Great location, beautiful house! Loved watching the eagles and beautiful sunsets. The caretakers were especially helpful, and were “invisible” unless we needed them.

Fantastic property!

We have rented this house the past couple of years and had a great stay every time. The location is perfect and it’s easy to get into Chesapeake city for shopping, dinning or drinks. And the home owner is always responsive and great to work with!

Awesome for families

The home is beautiful and perfect for family vacations. We loved hanging out in the pool and watching movies together in the media room. We were weary about staying somewhere with property managers living on site, but it really wasn’t an issue.

Multi-generational family trip

The river house was better than we imagined. The pictures don't do it justice. If you're looking for a large house to accommodate many people with a wealth of outdoor activities on site, look no further. The property manager was so helpful from time of booking to during our stay.

River house

Great property, lot’s of space. Beautiful river views. Tremendous kitchen with everything needed for larger family gatherings. Pool and hot tub was clean and well maintained. Very responsive support during our stay.

August getaway

Beautiful property with fabulous sunsets over the river. It was great for our extended family. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had. I would recommend this rental for a quiet time to unwind!

Family Vacation

Lovely stay for extended family of ages 80-3. All had a wonderful time. Well equipped house, lots to do and property manager so helpful. Gorgeous view every am and sunsets at night. We all unplugged, relaxed, and enjoyed being together!

Extended family get together

Perfect in every way! Lots of really comfy beds, lots of space to spread out and play, walk, recreate, and a great well-equipped kitchen in a beautiful setting. We will be back!

Relaxing on the River

The house and grounds are large and clean. The pool and hot tub were great fun. The outdoor room was great, especially on a rainy day. We also really enjoyed the dock and the kayaks. The kitchen was beautiful, and the ice maker and the two refrigerators were extremely useful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Another great stay!

Our large group of family and friends had another wonderful stay here. This is our second time with the current home owners and third time overall staying at the house. It is well kept and plenty to do for everyone. The dock is awesome for fishing, crabbing and boating. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook meals. We will be back again :)

Amazing stay, again!

We love this place. Our family - grandparents, their adult kids, spouses and their children - have come here twice now and it is the perfect big family vacation home. Spacious, gorgeous sunsets, pool and hot tub and fire pit used everyday - we love it. The caretakers are so helpful and responsive and make sure we have everything we need. thank you!

Beautiful home

This home had everything you can imagine. We had 13 adults, 3 boys from 7-9 years old and our granddaughter of 1. We all had a great time and the views were amazing.

Beautiful inside and out

This is a wonderful property for a large group who needs large spaces for everyone to be together. The amenities were great, beds were perfect - even the bunk beds. The house manager checked in upon arrival and was close by if we needed anything. Every room has a great view of the river. We stayed in winter and the fireplaces are a great touch. This would be wonderful in the summer without a doubt. thank you!

Beautiful Get Away

Gorgeous, spacious house! Grounds are lovely with lots of amenities. My kids loved going for walks around the path at night with lanterns and of course the salt water pool was amazing. Lovely easy to use hot tub & comfortable river room with brand new teak furniture. We had a great week in MD! Thank you for everything!
