The Isenhart House Seaside Vacation Rental is the perfect escape from hectic everyday life. You can sit back, relax and do nothing or fill your days with the varied local activities. It is a bright, sunny, newly renovated 1 BR apartment nestled in a quiet neighborhood between Historic Victorian Cape May and secluded Cape May Point. Enjoy all the comforts of home yet none of the worries! There is a private entrance with a deck for relaxing or eating outside. You can sun yourself on your private deck or sip cold lemonade on our shady front porch.

We invite you to share in the bounty of our seasonal vegetable garden. Come pick ripe Jersey tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and more! We have books, movies and board games. We'll even help set up babysitting if needed! We are happy to provide suggestions for restaurants and let you know what's going on in town. Live like the locals. The weather is beautiful, the beaches are waiting, come enjoy all our lovely area has to offer.

This was a wonderful in-law apartment in a quiet neighborhood. The homeowners were away on a trip, so we had the place to ourselves. But, we'd had a long and lovely conversation before we arrived so we knew all we needed to know about the place. A well-stocked kitchen, comfy furniture, and beach vibe made it a fun stay. And, we loved Cape May!

Chris and Randy were fantastic hosts! The apartment was clean, had everything you could need, and was much bigger than pictured. Outside garden was wonderful. Short bike ride to the beach and the boardwalk. Rental came with bicycles, beach badges, linens, towels.....

Great stay in Cape May!

This was a great stay at Cape May! The place was exactly as described or perhaps better! We did not get to use the pool due to scheduling, but it looked very tempting and amazing. The street and house was very quiet. This was very close to the beach and other places we wanted to visited. The host was extremely warm and welcoming but respectful. Would stay again!

Peaceful Getaway

Great property for a vacation or just a getaway. It has everything anyone would want to just relax and recharge. It is a very clean welcoming home away from home with great hosts.

Homegrown Paradise

Exactly as listed. Very clean. Kitchen was small but had everything we needed (full size fridge/freezer, water filter pitcher, ice, oven/stove, coffee pot, microwave, toaster oven, plates, cups, utensils, etc.) Two comfortable couches, cable TV, large bedroom, bathroom with shower/tub combo. The pool was gorgeous and the garden was breathtaking. Chris and Randy are so friendly and made sure we had everything we could need. Close enough to beaches and amusements to make it an easy drive, but far enough away that you could leave the crowds and the noise behind at the end of the day. We would absolutely stay here again!

This stay was AMAZING!! My partner and I were down in Cape May for a wedding and this listing was the closest I could find to the farm we needed to be at. I had realized the day we were checking in that I needed to be at the rehearsal dinner earlier than check in. I reached out to Chris and she called AND texted me to tell me as soon as the apartment was ready for us. She and her husband were amazing with my partner and I the entire stay, even offered to pick us up from the after party! I could go on and on about how amazing the stay was, but in the end I couldn’t recommend this stay enough. Truly some of the most genuine and kindest people I’ve ever met. Will be making another trip down to Cape May just to see them again!

Lovely dog-friendly apartment in Cape May suburbs

The apartment is on the first floor of a large suburban home with an entrance and deck in the large back yard (which our pup enjoyed). It is comfortable, light-filled and very clean - it maybe the cleanest place on VRBO we’ve ever stayed. Comfortable bed, whew. It’s a short 10-minute drive to all the “action” of Cape May (beach, restaurants, Victorian homes.) The neighborhood is very quiet, really on the edge of farm country, with two farm markets just down the road. But Cape May is so small, it’s easy to get anywhere. The owners are very friendly and left beach chairs, an umbrella, beach towels and bikes for us to use.

Wonderful Getaway In Cape May!

This property was wonderful and such a great location for what my wife and I wanted. If you’re looking for a location that is close to all the shops and things to do, this is the place for you. Chris and Randy are wonderful hosts and we felt really welcomed when we met them. They are so sweet! With the place having bikes, we were able to bike downtown and lock them up. We loved that. Our dog was also able to come with us which is always convenient. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved our stay!

Chris and Randy were excellent and accommodating hosts. This was our second stay in Cape May, specifically West Cape May, and we are a big fan of this area (close drive to the beach/downtown without the craziness). This place was perfect for me, my husband and our baby. The bedroom is spacious with plenty of room for us, the pack'n'play and our luggage. Living space was cozy and the kitchen had everything we needed. We would highly recommend!

The best

This was our second time staying at Chris’s and it was just as wonderful as our first visit. The space is clean and spacious, just enough for a beach vacation. We traveled with our 8 month old and had enough space to fit an activity mat that we were able to leave out our entire stay. Chris and her husband Randy are so sweet! Every time we saw them they said hello and asked if we needed anything. The garden itself is SO gorgeous with so much to choose from. We didn’t use the pool this time, but it was very clean and cared for. We will definitely be back for a third time :) thanks again!!!

Quaint, Comfortable, and Convenient

This property was a great fit for myself, my husband, and our toddler. Both the main room and the bedroom were comfortable and spacious. The property also came stocked with many beach essentials, such as beach towels, an umbrella, and beach tags for Cape May Beach. The kitchen is small, but perfect for our family that only needed it to eat breakfast in the morning. One downside to this property, is that because the unit is an apartment attached to a main house, sound does travel between the two units, and you can occassionally hear your neighbors talking or running a load of laundry. Otherwise, I think this apartment would be a great fit for any small family.

The owners were super friendly! Always asking if everything was ok or if we needed anything!.. ..location was awesome close to everything including the town! And beach! .. the pool was refreshing! Great stay - perfect location - wonderful hosts

My husband and I (plus our dog!) stayed in this one bedroom, one bath apartment - we had access to a huge yard (which our puppy loved). The hosts could not have been nicer - I was there to participate in the Escape the Cape triathlon - very convenient to the race - plus extremely convenient to the town. We loved our three-night stay!

Memorial Day Weekend 2024

Our family had a great weekend getaway. This is a great location with short drives to any area of Cape May. The space was actually much bigger than we thought from the pictures. We brought a queen air mattress for our kids to sleep on the floor in the bedroom and had plenty of space. Very clean and had everything we needed. Chris and Randy were great hosts. Very friendly and willing to help in anyway. Highly recommend.

Live like a local!

The property is located away from the busy beachfront area of Cape May but close enough to be there within a few minutes, quick bike ride (longer walk but you can do it). You will definitely feel like a local vs just being on vacation, which I liked very much. We stayed in September so it was quieter but I could see it being difficult to find parking in town during high season. No issue off-season. The property is in a good location with access to everything Cape May has to offer. Chris and Randy are super nice people, the kind that you feel you have known for a long time. We traveled with our dog which made this the perfect setting for us. If you dont mind no frills and just a place to hang your hat at the end of the day vs a fancy hotel room, especially if traveling with a pet then this is for you. Its a larger type apartment with everything you need, even bikes which we did use to ride over to the west cape may side to visit the bay beaches and winery. The furnishings are typical of a beach rental, older couches which I would suggest to be replaced with a future upgrade as they are getting tired. But I understand in a pet friendly rental not opting for anything expensive. We did mention to chris that the bedroom ceiling fan could use a look as it was making noise, either tightening up or replacement. Kitchen has everything you need, central air worked great and we were comfortable. You have access to their garden too! Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Cozy, convenient, and delightful

What a perfect place to stay for a short beach visit! We went down to Cape May on a lark over Labor Day weekend and were so happy to find this place. The apartment is tidy, pullout sofa worked fine for the kids, the pool is astonishingly sparkling clean, and the carefully tended gardens are charming. If you're coming for the beach and are just looking for a place to spend the evenings, this place hits the spot! And best of all, the owner's communication was prompt, clear, and friendly. Great experience!

Fabulous stay!!!

The pictures of this listing do not do it justice. We would love to come back every year! Chris is just 7 minutes from the beach and a 5 minute drive to a local Acme for any last minute items you need. My sister and I stayed the weekend with her dog, Frankie. Chris was so welcoming and helpful yet made sure we had our private space to thoroughly enjoy the weekend on our own. We even had a few family members join us for an evening. We sincerely appreciate Chris's flexibility and help throughout the weekend. The only piece of feedback is to update the pictures online because her apartment is much more adorable, quaint, bright, clean and beachy than originally presented on the listing. It has everything you need for a short stay. Highly highly recommend!!!

I fell in love with Cape May while in college and it's been home ever since. I live here year round with my family. We feel lucky to live in such a beautiful area. We love to travel to other places, but are always happy to return to our Cape Island! When our long time year round tenant moved cross country to be closer to family, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to share our little bit of paradise with others!

During college I came to Cape May to work for the summer. I got the sand between my toes and in my heart! Aside from returning to campus to finish up classes, I've NEVER left!!! That was more than 25 years ago...I can't imagine being away from the ocean. We bought this house 7 years ago because of the location. It's a quiet rural neighborhood, yet a 5 minute bike ride to anywhere in town. We have the best of both worlds!

Our goal is to make your visit effortless! Just throw some clothes in a bag and come! We provide linens, bikes, beach tags, beach chairs, beach towels, even a cooler to take to the beach if you like! We have all the latest brochures and information about the goings on around town. We'll even help set up babysitting if needed. You are welcome to share the bounty our seasonal vegetable garden. Come out and pick ripe Jersey tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and more! You've got a sunny deck just outside your door and are welcome to share our shady front porch with rockers and hanging baskets! Our location has it all from beaches to birding and hiking to fine dining and antiquing. You may not want to go home!
