The Harper Place studio apartment is located on the grounds of the Historic Harper House that was built in 1913 and is located in Port Ybor which is a small historic working class community that is a few short minutes to Downtown Tampa, Historic Ybor, Cruise Port, Amalie, and much more. The Historic Harper House was the original home to José Escalante of José Escalante Cigar Company. The restored cigar factory is directly across the street from the home. A small newly remodeled studio with full sized bed, 1 bathroom, stand up shower, mini fridge, microwave, no tv, wifi provided. Explore the city with rental scooters, waterfront park 2 blocks from the studio apartment , historic cigar buildings , nightlife, breweries, and much more! Welcome to Tampa and Historic Ybor!
The property is fenced in and is extremely private with neighbor houses on both sides. We seek quiet travelers for the studio. The main house and main house grounds are off limits to guests. We are local vintage and architectural store owners and love to reuse and repurpose. We hope you enjoy!

This place is adorable! It was exactly what we needed for a place to stay one night before a cruise. It has a comfortable bed, a huge bathroom, a nice little sitting room and some really unique decorations that make you laugh, remember and/or think.

It was a very cozy place to stay for my husband and I, it was clean and comfortable the only thing I would change is having a place to hang my jacket. The owners were very nice and communication was easy, I would stay there again.

Amazing getaway

We enjoyed our stay it was for just a night. Such a cute small place but just right for us. We loved the roosters and cats. They made it feel like home.

Fun in the sun

I had a great stay! We were going to the NHL playoffs and it was close to all we needed. Great restaurants, shopping, beaches, and attractions close by. Our host was very responsive and helpful.

Pre-Cruise Stay

We needed a place to stay the night before a cruise and this was a great spot. It was very clean and close to the port. Even though it was a garage turned studio, it was comfortable and had everything we needed for our short stay. Check in and check out were quick and simple. A good alternative to the high price hotels in the area.

Perfect for our needs!

Needed a place to stay before loading a cruise ship the next morning. Found the location easily and communication was great. Everything was as listed. I will definitely stay again if needed.

Perfect for what I needed. It's a garage so it's away from the street and very secluded. Joy and her husband were super friendly and helpful with the area and knowing things to do. Centrally located to nearby places. Felt safe and comfortable knowing they were in the house.

The hosts were friendly and helpful. Readily available when needed. The room was quaint and cute, TV, WIFI Shower worked well. Bed was comfy. The property is close to the airport and very close to cruise terminal. Lots of shops and restaurants, though I believe you would need a car. My only suggestion is to place a small table where the microwave is located, so guests can have their meal. . It was a pleasant experience.

Not set up for 2 people. The double bed was boxed in by two walls and a dresser making it difficult to get out of the bed for the person sleeping closest to the wall. Mattress had sunk in the middle so both of us rolled to the middle. It would be fine for a single person.
