Heins Haven North on the Betsie River

Little house on the Betsie River, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Comfortably sleeps 6-dogs are welcome.

Heins Haven North, near Crystal Mountain, is the perfect place to get away from it all. Enjoy a large, beautiful four season sunroom, well-equipped kitchen with island, and desk space off the kitchen/living room to get some work done.

The master has a super comfortable king size bed and an en suite bathroom with a tile shower. A second, extra large bathroom with shower/bathtub combination is located in between the master suite and second bedroom. The bedroom opposite the master has a full-over-queen bunk bed and plenty of natural light. Comfortable living area has queen size pull out sofa, big screen tv (with YouTube TV and the ability to cast from your devices) fully equipped coffee bar, reliable internet and ample workspace. Separate dining area seats 6.

The outdoor patio has a large fire pit and ample seating and picnic table. Walk right down the dock and into the Betsie River to fly fish or just relax in the glider while watching the river flow by.

All this while being just 5 miles away from Crystal Mountain skiing, golf and spa. Iron Fish
Distillery is just around the corner. Also nearby Sleeping Bear Dunes, Arcadia Bluffs, Traverse City and M-22. All the beauty that Northern Michigan has to offer is just outside the door.

House was great, location was great, scenery was great, and the fishing was next level, with immediate river access. Literally in the middle of nowhere. Couldn't ask for a better location.

Another excellent stay at Heins Haven, every year we return feels like we never left. Doug, Pam and Ginny think of all the guests' needs. And the property is just like described and it's also well maintained. We have shared so many precious milestones at Heins Haven from my wife completing her master degree at their work station, to celebrating my wife's birthday every year and watching our son grow while visiting our favorite spots like Sleeping Bear National Park to the shops of Glen Arbor and alway Iron Fish Distillery at least once during our stay. Our son loves the alpine slide at Crystal mountain, mom and dad enjoy the relacing chairlift ride . Thank you again guys for hosting our little family and accommodating all our needs. Also our pups are forever grateful to be along with their family.

We had an outstanding experience here! The house is meticulously maintained, great set up, and is off the beaten path but close enough to everything we wanted to do. Short drive to the dunes and fantastic bird watching right out the window! We were thrilled to see all the hummingbirds! Also, excellent communication with the host. Highly recommend!

This home came with everything. If you are wondering if it is included it probably is. Just ask the host! They were very easy to get ahold of and easy to work with.

Perfect Getaway

What a relaxing and quiet home nestled in a wooded area with a riverfront view and access. Comfortable bed, perfect location, WIFI (if you need it), great accommodations, fire pit, outdoor lighting and CLEAN! Will definitely stay again!

Peaceful and well equipped

We stayed for a family ski weekend and really enjoyed this property. Everything we needed was provided and we loved the beautiful setting on the river and close proximity to Crystal as well as Iron Fish. Definitely recommend!

Had a great week in N Michigan

We had a great getaway in March when it was in the 20s and snowing. The cabin was awesome and exactly what we were looking for. We'll likely be back in the future for more fishing and skiing

We enjoyed our two weeks at charming Heins Haven on The Betsie River. The cabin is very comfortable and the attention to detail was much appreciated. The hosts have anticipated almost every need for guests. The river is beautiful and we enjoyed watching the variety of birds and wildlife while sipping coffee on the patio.

Quiet low key vacation

Lovey home with everything needed, beautiful outdoor space with a relaxing river to float down. Close to several nice attractions - sleeping bear dunes and traverse city are both a must do. Great internet access and no issues with phone service despite the more remote location.

Stay by the river

We enjoyed our stay. We were able to bring our dog with us for an extra $20 a day. I thought a little high but at least she was with us. The house was clean and had just what we needed for the five days we were there.

Wonderful get away!

Loved the coziness of this beautiful cabin! Felt at home right away, the snack basket was great and the kids started seeing wildlife right away through the big windows :) The sunroom was a fave spot and the games and bird ID chart kept the kids occupied! We loved walking down the creek and sitting on the swing. Cozy and clean cabin. Will def stay here again.

Relaxing

Family Weekend

We had a wonderful stay! The Heins home was centrally located to many local attractions without the hustle and bustle of TC. Iron Fish distillary was right up the road and a fun spot. St Ambrose Cellers was also a great spot and close. Frankfort had a wonderful farmers market and many shops and resturants. We also hiked the Treat Fram Trail. The home was clean and cozy. Loved the sun room!

Great getaway

Such a peaceful place on the river. In a wooded area couldn't see the neighbors not far from the towns. Such a wonderful getaway from the city life . Loved sitting in the sunroom watching the birds in the feeders. Was very clean and well stocked will visit again.
