Property has great location and view, very clean when we arrived, well stocked kitchen. Pictures a bit inaccurate - pillows and bedding much more worn, thin, overly used. Issues with showers problematic, with poor drainage in tub, other shower not working (we were reimbursed small amount for that but inadequate) Not enough seating in living area for two families with just one small couch, two uncomfortable chairs and window seat with too few, thin and worn pillows. Good for dogs tho did need to create barriers as yard is fully open to the street.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the house and we will definitely be back in the future. Great amount of space for 4 adults and 2 kids and a dog. Really appreciate the easy access to a quieter beach but still being a quick drive to cannon and manzanita for restaurants and supplies.

Our stay was spectacular! 6 adults plus dogs had plenty of room inside and out. Beach access was a few houses away down a well maintained path of stairs combined with path, very doable for all ages in our party. The view was unbeatable. The bedrooms are comfortable, there are plenty of games and a working fireplace. The kitchen is large and very well appointed, there's a barbecue and a fire pit, plenty of sitting room for conversation and game playing. Our only issue was with the state of the towels that were all dingy and smelly. The washing machine needs sanitizing, it was obvious the towel problem was due to the mildewy washing machine. We went into the rental knowing one of the showers was down so we have no complaints there. We appreciated that there was a broom and vacuum onsite so we could maintain the property properly. Communication with AvantStay was very good, they were very attentive when we needed them.

Lovely place

We have been here several times and love this place. Nice view easy access to beach (5 minute walk) and short drive to Cannon Beach and Manzanita.

Great Escape

House was wonderful, view and Arch Cape beach were fabulous. Not too far from Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful views and wonderful beach access I a quiet neighborhood.

The house however was very dated and in need of maintenance…especially given that we paid over $1000 per night for 2 people.

Great Home

This was a wonderful home. Comfortable and friendly. Nice spaces. Amazing view. Pleasant yard/patio. Clean and well stocked. Didn't need to communicate with owner, but appreciated the welcome email and introduction.

Sweet ocean view retreat

Immaculate, comfortable and quiet and an easy stroll to a beautiful beach perfect for long walks. Watch the waves all day from the living room or pleasant, grassy yard on the bluff above the beach. Just a short drive to either Cannon Beach or Manzanita. Well equipped kitchen.

Wonderful Long Weekend

My husband and I, along with our son, daughter-in-law and baby granddaughter had a really lovely long weekend at this home in Arch Cape. We loved the location and view of the ocean. It’s just a few minutes walk to the beautiful Arch Cape beach. The house was very comfortable, super clean, and well stocked with everything we needed. Thank you!

Sisters reconnecting weekend

My sister and I enjoyed a warm, comfortable, quiet and relaxing weekend at Arch Cape. The views are amazing and captivating especially when the whales breech. Enough room to feel separated if needed. Location perfect and ground’s gorgeous. Kitchen fully stocked and functional. Beach walks are a must to see shells, jellyfish bald eagles, and adorable friendly dogs.Restaurant a plenty north or south.

A fabulous beach retreat

Cute beachfront cottage

We loved the view of the ocean. We were disappointed that the beach access was 3 houses down, but it was still a beautiful view from the property. Lots of space in the home with nice kitchen. We had some initial problems getting in, since the lock bolt wouldn't full retract into the door when the correct code was entered. My husband got some WD40 & fixed it.

Great Beach Vacation

We came with our two kids (3 and 1) and had such a wonderful week at Arch Cape Escape. Our days basically went: wakeup and explore the sea stars at low tide, hang out on the beach all day, make campfires at night with s'mores, put the kids to bed and sit out under the stars with the campfire and some wine. One of the most relaxing stays we've had in a long time. We really loved how this house had everything we needed, and the all the firewood you could need to have great campfires in the backyard or house. We loved the kitchen space for gathering, cooking, eating, etc. And the private front yard is also great to the let the kids play in safely. We also really appreciated the more rustic/distraction free atmosphere. It helped us disconnect and just enjoy our family and the beautiful surroundings. While we were there we went ahead and booked our trip for next year - we recommend this place for sure!

Very Comfortable Home with an Amazing View

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was great, the view and privacy of the backyard were spectacular. The home is very comfortable and pet-friendly; it easily accommodated our group of seven. The home is very clean, and the furnishings, while well used and worn in, make you able to relax without feeling stress about messing up fancy furniture. We had a few maintenance issues, but Danña with Starfish was extremely responsive and pleasant. The master bedroom also has an amazing view and the bed and linens were very comfortable. We enjoyed our time at this home so much that we are booking ahead for next year!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rent beach houses often and enjoyed the oceanfront biew the most. The photos online do not represent the home well and we were surprised at how small and cluttered it was. Very clean and great experience going through Starfish. Beds were uncomfortable. We expected more for the nightly asking rate. But that oceanfront was amazing!

We are sorry to learn that this home did not meet 100% of your expectations. It is 1,600 sq feet with the living room providing many seating options for enjoying the amazing view through the wall of windows. We're glad to hear you enjoyed that. The home reflects the owners' preference to keep the decor and furnishings casual and relaxed which many visitors to this home appreciate. All the mattresses were purchased within the last 5 years, and we have not heard this comment about the beds in the past. We assume thus a matter of preference. We hope that you will return to one of our other homes that may be a better fit for your needs.

Amazing!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was our first time ever renting a house for vacation. We usually stay at upscale hotels, but we thought it would be a good time to branch out and see what all the hype is, and we get the craze! The house is in the perfect location. It is secluded and exactly like the description states, an "escape". We have 3 kids and the accommodations could not have been more perfect. The house was extremely clean and inviting. The furniture was not new and pristine, but it was comfortable and the window seating is priceless. We started and finished each day snuggled up there reading books and watching the waves. The kitchen had everything we needed and more (nice pots and pans too!). The windows in the kitchen look out into the front yard, so our kids could run and play with their sticks while we cooked or packed snacks for our daily outings etc. If you are looking for big flat screen tvs, walks to restaurants, or being a couch potato all day, this may not be the place for you. However, if you are looking for an amazing view, seclusion, long walks on an unbelievably beautiful beach, extremely comfortable beds, and being a close drive to two wonderful towns (Manzanita & Cannon Beach), then Arch Cape Escape is the perfect place for you. We have decided to make it our new family tradition. Starfish Vacation Rentals was amazing! They took care of everything for us! We utilized their free concierge service to help schedule our outings. We could not have asked for a better experience.

A vaccinated family reunion!

My family and I got to enjoy the beautiful “arch cape escape” home with it’s spectacular ocean view. The rooms were all welcoming and comfortable. The kitchen was great for cooking and enjoying our family dinners. It was a perfect space to reunite with our kids and grandson. We’d definitely consider returning in the future.

Idyllic beach house

Comfortable, well-equipped beach house in a stunning location. Five minute walk to the beach and a short drive to all of the attractions of town (Cannon Beach). We will be back!
