This home is located less than 1.5 miles away from the town of Vineyard Haven and the ferry terminal, an easy 10 minute bike ride or 20 minute walk away. Inside this home, you'll find hardwood and tile flooring, plenty of windows welcoming in natural light, and a well-equipped, stainless steel kitchen with all the accessories and appliances you need to prepare anything from quick beach snacks to full-course dinners. Dine together at the table for seven, and then enjoy the view off your furnished deck or head downstairs to stream your favorite channels in the cozy lower-level living area. This home also offers a fun, kid-friendly upper-level loft.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Vineyard Haven Home

The house was in a perfect location for our needs and easily accommodated our family of 6. We were attending a wedding at West Chop, which is about a 5 min drive from the home. We were also able to walk into Vineyard Haven from the house. It was clean and well stocked. It could use some updating, but overall, it provided everything necessary.

Nice home not to far from the beach!

Our stay was excellent! We needed a last minute rental and this worked out in our favor! The house is extremely roomy and fits 8 people with ease. Kitchen has all the amenities and tools you need to cook. Our only complaints were the lights over the kitchen table flicker after a few minutes of use and the washing machine needed to be cleaned. Other than that our stay was very lovely and we would highly stay here again! Also the outdoor shower was a nice touch and lovely to have after a day at the beach! Once again we highly recommended and would definitely consider this house again!!

Great week on the Vineyard!

We had a great week with our friends and our kids in Vineyard Haven. We had four adults and four kids ages 6-8 and we had plenty of room for us all to sleep comfortably! We really appreciated: The kitchen was very well stocked with appliances- blender, griddle, plenty of dishes and pots/pans. There were air conditioners and fans in each room as well so it was comfortable on hot days. The kitchen table was big enough for all of us to eat together and then hang out and play games/do puzzles. The deck was perfect for hanging out! there is a great outdoor shower downstairs to get all the kids showered after the beach, and the water pressure is strong! There was toilet paper, paper towels, dish towels, small toiletries, sheets and towels and dish soap/dishwasher pods. Washer/dryer downstairs was key for a week at the beach! The location is close to the VH ferry (1-2 miles) and there is a stop and shop right across from the ferry. Note: there was not any beach gear there, so bring your own umbrella/chairs/coolers/beach toys etc... Thank you for a wonderful place to stay and spend time with our good friends!!

Perfect for a family stay!

Excellent layout for a large group--we were 5 adults and everyone had personal space. The home is very clean and spacious, and the beds are comfy! Very convenient location, especially if you have family on island or bring a car over. We all agree that we would come stay again!

Perfect for a family getaway

This property has it all. Clean, close to the ferry and most tourist attractions. The check in was very easy and they even allowed us to check in before 4:00. We will return!

Should have been easier

We will start with the positive. This is a lovely house, albeit with some annoying fix-it items. The bedrooms and bathrooms are as pictured and the common areas nice, if on different levels. The location of the house was an easy commute to downtown and quiet. We didn't really use the outdoor deck due to rain, but it was spacious. The items that caused us problems should be easy enough to fix and have been mentioned by others. Our first call to Vacasa regarded trying to enter the property as we stood in the pouring rain. The archaic lock boxes (there were 2, one downstairs that did not work and one up). To get the physical key to the property you had to struggle with the lock box on the upper deck level, but once you got the key out it didn't work on the knob at that door -- you had to take it downstairs to the side door to get in. Our second call to Vacasa was made with the smoke alarms went off near bedtime for no reason as we had not used the stove at all. The Vacasa agent told us to call again if it went off again! We worried that the heat might have kicked on, so we turned off every thermostat even though it was chilly. Our third call to Vacasa came when we tried to stream a movie on the family room TV and it didn't allow us to access anything. Prior to our call it Vacasa we had spent an hour on the phone with Xfinity and they tried to find the problem. We needed to call Vacasa again before they sent someone out on day 5 of our week long rental to get it work

Haven getaway

Very clean. Lots of amenities that you have at home. Quiet neighborhood. Easy access. Spacious. One bedroom downstairs was rather dark because ceiling light does not work.

Trouble from the start

We had difficulty getting the keys from the lock box, only got in because sliding screen door was open. Once we got in the main floor & top floor where very hot. We tried to turn on the wall mounted & standing air conditioner units but they didn't work well. We were told the AC condenser blew out the week before but we were never told before we arrived. They then said someone would be out to fix it but they never came to fix the unit? We want our money back!!!

Wraparound deck on quiet street

On Island Time has a large deck facing the front and one side of the house that's a peaceful place to sit and take in the trees, see wild turkeys walking by, and greet a friendly neighborhood cat. The dining area open to the kitchen has an enormous, wood table with like 8 chairs and a loveseat at one end that made this a perfect hangout place. The downstairs family room has very comfortable seating and is a cozy place to watch TV. But my favorite place was the reading loft that overlooks the kitchen and dining area. I could go up there to "get away" while still hearing my kids and husband cracking jokes and laughing. Oh and I loved all the light from the enormous windows!

Poor Quality Rental Property

This property was in various stages of neglect. The bathroom tub shower curtain had mildew stains; the toilet paper holder in downstairs bathroom was broken. The floor vent grate in the dining/great room was not bolted to the floor and you could see the room below. There were large black stains on the floor in the dining/great room. The crockery and silverware was old and chipped. Just pure shameful and entirely disrespectful of the paying customer. Yard was thoroughly neglected with a creepy garden shed in the back. The neighborhood was very poor quality with an abandoned house next door. I wouldn't put this house on VRBO until the property is spruced up.

Great location near Vineyard Haven and West Chop

Very comfortable and efficient home ideally situated between West Chop and Vineyard Haven. The property was very clean and comfortable. Not much of a yard or outdoor area, but we spend all our time at the beach or out exploring anyways. Can't get a better deal so close to the Chop.

Great family spot!

We loved everything about our stay here! The place was so comfortable and plenty big enough for 3 couples and 4 young kids. We loved that the kitchen was well stocked and right in the center of the home, with a big dining table big enough for us all. The kids loved playing out in the yard and the deck was beautiful in the evenings. We loved being so close to Vineyard Haven and the ferry, and were able to walk to the water and also easily get to other beaches and spots by car. We’d highly recommend this place!

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay as part of a 4 day bike trip. We were easily able to bike to the home and were very comfortable there. The owners were amazing. There was a plumbing issue that they communicated with us about ahead of time and sent someone to fix, at night, the first night we were there. Nice residential neighborhood. Had everything we needed. Thank you!

Great family set up!

Fantastic space and location! Just a pleasant place for a relaxing getaway. Clean, well decorated with bright, cheerful and stylish decor. Its obviously set up to be a great summer spot, but even in winter, it shined. Nice and cozy spaces, tons of room. We were there with 5 adults and 4 kids with room to spare. There's everything you need to cook, but quick walk to Vineyard Haven downtown for coffee, takeout, supplies, etc. Planning to come back in the summer, can't wait to see it in season!
