Beautiful Waterfront Vacation Rental on the Currituck Sound

Relax and enjoy a retreat, romantic getaway, or family vacation at this beautiful waterfront cottage. This fully remodeled cottage has 3 bedrooms (two masters, a kids room that sleeps three, plus sleeper sofas in the loft and game room), 3 baths (including one with jetted tub), a fully furnished kitchen, and game/play room. In addition, the cottage offers places to gather, cook, and eat both inside and outside.

Located less than 40 miles from Chesapeake VA and from the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the Currituck Cottage offers panoramic views of Currituck Sound and the Intracoastal Waterway.

Enjoy views of the beautiful boats going by, or birds native to the area (including Bald Eagles). From Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend, play with the paddle boat, and kayaks (4). Fish or crab from the 2 docks and piers (crab pot provided). Four golf courses are less than 30 minutes away, and duck hunting is available nearby. You can also use a nearby boat launch to enjoy your own boat or jet ski.

The Currituck Cottage is a NO Smoking/Smoke Free cottage. Smoking is not allowed.

Daughters wedding

The house had a nice large room upstairs and bathroom for brisdesmaids and bride to get ready. The balcony was used for groom first look. Great pictures taken here. Very nice home that was oerfect for the occasion

Duck Hunting Trip.

We recently stayed at this property January 2 -5 2025. We were a group of two couples in the area for the guys to go on a hunting trip at Stewart’s hunting Lodge. The location is perfect if you were booking with Stewart’s lodge, just down the road so perfect for the early morning departures. The girls hung around the house, which had amenities and wonderful views to sit and relax. VRBO did not send the check in information, but the host was very quick to respond and provide information for an easy check in. For a low-key clean, safe place there is nothing better. We would highly recommend this listing from East Tennessee Group.

Processing the Sound

This property was just what we needed as we gathered to say goodbye to a great man. All of us at some point spent time on the swing either by ourselves or with another. It was the perfect spot to reflect on the life that we spent time with, the memories we made and the stories that came out of those moments.

Wedding Weekend

Stayed here for the weekend to attend my cousin's wedding that was also on the island. We loved it! Very nice and clean. Plan to stay again in the future!

Excellent!

We were in town for a youth sports tournament and this was the perfect place to stay. Big enough to hold 2 families and not overpriced. Location was ideal. Played in a tournament during the day and fished in the evenings! Easy check in and out.

Relax and Rewind

Large open living area with beautiful views of intra-coastal waterway. Our purpose was to relax and rewind, and this house was perfect for that purpose, but close enough to town for those who want more. The neighborhood appeared to be filled with family owned homes, quiet and well cared for houses.

Awesome vacation!

What a beautiful house and property. You really don't need to leave at all because of all the "toys" available both inside and out. And the view was spectacular especially the morning sunrises. Very quiet neighborhood with lovely neighbors on both sides.

Peace and serenity

The home was beautiful in an incredibly tranquil setting. We enjoyed watching the beautiful sunrise from the dock each morning, although some mornings, the mosquitoes and other little bugs were troublesome. We arrived at the tail end of a huge storm, so unfortunately the yard was flooded most of the week. The house was incredibly well equipped and had everything we could need. We had a fantastic time kayaking in the sound and could not get enough of the breathtaking views the home has to offer. Amazing vacation overall!!

The house was excellent for our stay. Grandson caught crab off the dock and it provided great access to places to visit like the wild horses, the battleship museum and tour, ocean fishing and the Graveyard of the Atlantic!

The house was beautiful. Love the fact that they had kayaks, a canoe, pedal boat and floats available to use. My kids loved getting up and hanging on the water. House is equipped with everything may need on vacation. Loved cooking while looking out at the water

Our stay was absolutely amazing. Quiet neighborhood, lovely views. The outdoor toys accommodated all of us (4 adults). The crabbing was a great experience and the owners were very responsive to one minor issue we had the entire week of our stay. Would definitely stay again.

Great break from life.

The property was great. The grandkids enjoyed the canoe, kayak, and fishing from the pier. We loved the magnificent view at night of the stars, not diminished by light pollution. Sitting on the swing watching the sunrise was breath taking.

Wonderful spring vacation!

Home was very clean, fully apportioned with household items, owner helped with check-in, very quick response, plenty of games and activities. Great vacation for northerners to enjoy the sunshine in the south!

Relaxing week in March

We had a blast even though a cold front came through. We threw out the crab pots and pulled in some tiny shrimp who were eating well so we let everybody go. We had 7, and the loft turned out to be the best “bedroom” in the house (if you’re an early riser). First time staying in this area and I’d love to come back when it’s warmer! Thank you for sharing the home with us!!

Nice house, cute neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay! The game room was a big hit and the views were lovely. The house was very nice and the neighborhood was quiet. The house could use a deep clean once over though.
