Wonderful Place!

I was a bit worried when I began reading the reviews, but as many people know, Online reviews can be misleading and are sometimes just negative because something didn't go their way. As a group of young girls with no travel experience, we are proud to say that we have dan amazing time. Every room was air conditioned, the beds were clean and comfortable, the kitchen had what we needed, And the living room was a wonderful spot to relax and chat. We had no problems with neighbors. Only issue was my own fault, and I couldn't figure out how to get the lock open, but it was my simple mistake and the owner was over to the property in no time. Owner was very understanding also when my younger sister left her cellphone at the place. He shipped the phone free of charge back to my house, and she's very very grateful. I would 10/10 recommend staying here.

Don’t stay here

House was not clean and smelled terribly of cigarettes. Wi-Fi did not work so we couldn’t even use the TV to drown out the noise. We had six people staying with us and there was only two towels and less than half of a roll of toilet paper left. Upstairs neighbors were very, very loud. Neighborhood was scary, people riding in the alley late at night and lots of noise. No off street parking, unless you wanted to park in the scary alley. Was supposed to stay two night but didn’t even make it through one and left in the middle of the night. Host would not refund us more than half a one nights stay. This is not a safe nor hospitable place to stay.

Wont happen again

The title says it for me. The people above me threw a party then blamed it on me so my family & I had to leave the listing at 5am. Then the house was shot at due to the people UPSTAIRS which i was blamed for also so now I have to pay an additional $300 for something I had nothing to do with . Mind you when I arrived at the property there was no toilet or paper towels, I found food all in the sink, there was empty soda cans in the room, hair on the sink and the tvs dont have remotes.

We rented the apartment for Friday and Saturday night. We were on the first floor and another unit was upstairs. Friday night the noise upstairs lasted past midnight. Saturday night was worst for noise. The music was loud and the bass reverberated through out our unit. The Marijuana smoke was coming through the vents on to our unit. There was yelling and stomping around upstairs. Turned out they were young people and possible teenagers. At 11:30 pm they were running around the house outside and setting off fireworks on the sidewalk. We did not feel safe in this environment so we packed up and looked for a hotel at midnight.

Guys Trip

The pictures are equivalent to the stay. The place was perfect for what we needed. The host responded pretty quickly when we requested something and came to check up on us. We were out for the most of the day exploring the city of Milwaukee so really only needed this for the bedrooms and pregame before we went out. Being only 15 mins away from downtown, we got there and back pretty fast. The apartment is spacious, and the 3 bedroom’s fit a group of 4 of us. The couch is actually really comfortable in the air conditioned living room. AC’s in every room would be great for this apartment. The fans were not set up in all rooms. The living room ac keeps the apartment cool though. Also,The lockbox was broken so that made it challenging to leave the key in there. That’s really the only two things that could’ve been improved.

Overall a good stay

We had an overall good stay. Owner responded quickly when we had questions. The place is outdated but that doesn't affect the stay! Fans were available for every room. The A/C unit in livingroom looks super old and very dusty. A/C in 1 bedroom was awesome. Towels and rags were available. Overall a good stay.

Good place for a family stay

My husband and three young adult children stayed here for three nights and really had a good, affordable experience! It was great to have three bedrooms and the beds, aside from the plastic sheets on them, were the comfiest I've had in years! It was nicely decorated too. We were 20 minutes or less from everywhere we wanted to go. And I highly recommend the El Greco restaurant, which is about 4 minutes away. We had some issues but got a really good response from the host. For example when I let him know there was no coffee maker, the next morning he brought a brand-new coffee maker, filters, creamer, sugar and coffee!! And when we had Internet issues our first time, he took care of that as well. My only issues were that two of the outlets were loose and we could not plug things in (in one bedroom and the living room), there were only two box fans instead of one for each bedroom (but that couldn't have been plugged in anyway). Some other issues were not under the control of the host like squeaky floorboards, loud people on the second floor -- but we have DEFINITELY run across these things in most rentals we have stayed at and is not a big deal. I think some people are way too picky.

Avoid

This 3 bedroom apartment in Milwaukee's northwest area should be avoided. Do not stay here unless you have absolutely no other options. The apartment was fairly dirty, smelled strongly of smoke, had windows that didn't open and were very soiled with curtains/shades that let in lots of light. The bedrooms had no furniture other than beds which had sheets with holes in them and plastic covering on the mattresses. Thankfully the plumbing worked but the shower had a small leak and the shower head pipe wasn't well attached to the wall. The building looks very dilapidated from the exterior and the interior is the same. The walls, doors and ceilings/floors were so thin, old and poorly made that on the ground floor you could hear every step from people in the unit upstairs. Some of the locks didn't function well which made it difficult to get in and out of the building. There was picnic table in the back which was totally falling apart and should not be used. This property is barely fit for habitation and should be avoided by any potential VRBO guests.
