We do our best to make sure all items we provide as a complimentary "start-up" are detailed out in the arrival information we provide to each guest with the check-in instructions and code for entry. We are terribly sorry if you overlooked this information or if it was not provided to you prior to your arrival. As for the dirty dishes, we would've had this corrected with housekeeping had we been made aware of this during your stay or upon arrival. We are terribly sorry for this issue. We have manuals now included in each property that will assist with area information including restaurants, so we hope that will assist you with finding a great place to eat when you come be our guest again. Kathryn, Your 3/5 star review saddens us immensely! We hate to hear you had such a terrible stay in this great unit, and hope to clarify a few things in response to this negative review. First of all, no hot tub is advertised at the Rookery III complex. I think you assumed the kiddie pool located at the main pool is a hot tub, however the photos are captioned and it is advertised and displayed as a kiddie pool only. There are no jets, or heating capability at all. The kitchen items you mentioned have never been brought to our attention from other guests so this is the first we are hearing of the lack of items for meal prepping. This will most definitely be looked into in the next few days while the annual inventory inspections are being done on all of the properties we manage. We provide each owner with a list of items that are to be in the unit and available to guests at all times. We tell our guests that if they arrive or if an item is inoperable during their stay, to let us know so we can arrange a replacement quickly. Had we known of this information, we would've happily assisted with making sure you had ample supplies for preparing meals. As for the paper products, trash bags and spices. The arrival information that is emailed to each guest, with details regarding how to enter the unit, offers a list of items that are provided with your stay as a "complimentary startup". This unit would've included 1 roll of toilet tissue per bathroom, 1 roll or paper towels, 1 trash bag in each trash receptacle, a single use dishwasher detergent, a single use laundry detergent, and single use soaps. Once these items are gone, it is the guest responsibility to purchase what items they need for the duration of the stay. We do not require our owners to provide spices for guest use, as it would be difficult to keep track of what needed to be replaced after each guest, and also there is no way to know what spices each guest will need. And if spices are provided, where does it end?? Would we need to provide cooking oil or spray for meal prep, condiments, etc. Grocery items and staples are always brought by the guests and not provided by the property owner or manager. We hate the items you mentioned in this negative review caused you to have a 3/5 experience at this great cottage. Sincerely, Luna Beach Properties, LLC
