Waterfront Cottage * Deep Water Dock * Fishing * Spectacular Sunrises

Our Cottage is set on the waters edge under the shade of great Oak Trees. Enjoy magnificent views of Greenfield Creek from the deck. Bring your kayak! Full access to our deep water floating dock on Greenfield Creek that leads out to the St. Johns River and the Intracoastal. Or stay inshore on Greenfield Creek and explore the marsh in our backyard. There are plenty of Redfish, Flounder, and Trout in these creeks and if you're lucky, we do have Manatees and Porpoises that visit every now and then. The Ospreys (fish eagle), along with all of the vast family's of Egrets are a normal site.

Deep water dock space is available! Beach, Hanna Park, Mayo Clinic, Downtown, UNF, and the Mayport Base are 5- 20 min. down the road. The Mayport Shrimping fleet is 6 min. away (highly recommend Safe Harbor Seafood Grill). Our ferry is 7 min. away. Cruise across the St. Johns River and enjoy a 30 min. ride up A1A to Fernandina Beach. The options are unlimited.

Christmas visit to family

This would be lovely during the summer, but due to the Christmas lights in the community, it took from 20-60 minutes to access the cottage requiring an outstate driver to navigate round the roads in the dark, Plus, we visited during a cold spell, the cottage was cold even if the thermostate was set at 74,it was way below that, had to borrow blankets and space heater from my son. the c

Peaceful

This place is a great place to stay, close to restaurants, shopping and beaches. And it has beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the deck. Will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to visit our family.

Charming cottage with lovely view

I love this cottage-- it is very cute and the owner has masterfully used every bit of space to make it cozy and comfortable. The icing on the cake is the deck on the water. I would definitely stay again.

Cozy and relaxing

A perfect stay for a short getaway. Host provided wonderful accommodations. Clean, quiet, relaxing, and just as described. Host was very polite through messaging as well. A definite must-stay with your partner!

Very nice, quaint and perfect place to get away

This would be our second time staying here for my husband and I. We enjoy the cottage’s proximity to the water and dock access. The cottage has everything you would ever need to be comfortable and enjoy nature.

Short Business Trip

This is a very quite and private cottage. It's perfect for short stays. The views from the deck are very relaxing and peaceful. There's also nice restaurants a short drive away. Thanks for a great place to stay!

Great stay on the water

We had friends camping at the Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park & chose this cottage due to its close proximity. The cottage is small, but works well for a couple. It is clean, the bed is comfortable and it is well furnished. There is enough kitchen supplies to accommodate a couple for the week. We enjoyed the deck with its peaceful view of the water. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Anniversary Trip

Cabin of dreams

My wife and I came down to visit daughter who lives near here. This cabin was actually beyond anything we ever expected. We a rough few weeks and were so excited to get away and visit family. But this cabin provided such a comfy, cozy, relaxing, quiet, beautiful view to renew, reflect and rejoice over. It was such a blessing for us and know it would be for anyone who stays here. Ok little cottage

Very clean, well decorated and adequate space. Please note this is not a private cottage. There is another home and RV beside it. Listing should be updated as there are a lot of amenities in listing that are not available. There is no dishwasher or washer/dryer, coffee maker is only a kuerig, no books or games. TV is smart tv and internet spotty so unable to always watch as programming stops to download frequently. Shower pressure is poor and toilet refill is slow, but bathroom is beautiful. I wish there were blinds on the patio door and a screen. Limits ability to enjoy nice weather. Please note that the furniture in this property is not accomodating for tall, heavy or elderly people. While it looks nice, is very uncomfortable. We enjoyed our stay, saw porpoises and lots of little crabs! Host is very responsive via text.

Overall great place

The little house was absolutely beautiful no complaints we enjoyed setting on the back porch watching the fish and seeing the little crabs on the deck in the morning. The only thing we didn’t end up likening was that it actually was a guest house. Even though we did not see have any complaints it was quite and everything we feel that should be part of the listing we went in thinking we was gonna be completely alone but it’s someone staying 4-5 feet away from us in the next house. Also we don’t like that it was no screen door or blinds on the sliding door that leads to the back porch we w oh old have loved to have the door open to hear the sounds of nature. Also it wasn’t much water pressure in that beautiful shower. But overall it was a great little weekend getaway we enjoyed watching the nature on the back porch

Nice and comfortable cottage

The cottage is pretty and neat, with a great over over the water, lots of birds and widllife. It is close to everything, the beaches a ten min. drive. The only nagtive thing is the highway which is closeby and rather noisy.

Small cabin in shared space

We unfortunately were not able to enjoy the fishing as the neighbors were using the docks and the trees had overgrown off the deck of home. Plan ahead to bring your own kayak, or have an alternative fishing location if a private fishing getaway is what you want. The view is gorgeous just noisy with traffic and road sounds very near. Additionally, the listing mentioned there was a washer dryer however there is not. While there are some towels at the property you may consider bringing more clothing, your own spare sheets or towels if used to changing them during your stay. The space is made functional with sliding doors and small furniture but if you are over 6ft be prepared the couch, dinning stools, and bed are on the smaller side. Checking in was seamless, however, the property listing mentioned you could contact the owner for late checkout and we learned this is not always the case. While the app indicated the property was available the owner would not allow us to extend our stay or have late checkout due to family needs of the space. We started having people walking around looking in windows and sending us messages about turning off the air hours before our checkout.

Even cutier than it looks online. Such a quant & intimate place. The view was beautiful & close to amenities. If we come back to Florida we will definitely stay here again.

Perfect little cottage

Everything needed (plates, cup and even spices) for our stay was in the cottage. It was right on the river under the oak trees. Very nice location close to shops and food. The place was extremely clean.

Perfect Getaway

This is the perfect place to step away from it all. The views are spectacular and if you enjoy watching wildlife, this place is for you. The host is fantastic and is attentive to all your needs. This is the second time we have stayed here and we would highly recommend it.

Birder's paradise

What a wonderful stay. The deck is right on water. The ever changing tide. The birds! Osprey, Great Blue Herons, Little Blue Herons, Little Green Heron, Tri-color Heron, White Ibises, Great Egret, Little Egret, Hooded Mergansers, Comorants and Pelican shows. And dolphins! We got to watch the mullet fishers. The cottage has everything you need. Jeff was quick to respond and very helpful.

Absolutely Perfect!

We just loved this place! The house is just so cute and the perfect size for two ! The deck is the perfect spot for coffee and a book. My husband enjoyed fishing from the dock and the location was perfect. We plan a return trip next year!

I’ve been saying here a few years now every time that I am in town and it’s always wonderful. Jeff is great with communication although I’ve never had a problem. Very cozy and right on the water! Will continue to make to make this my choice of relaxation whenever I’m passing through.

RELAX

Great place to just relax and watch nature. Close to beaches, shops and restaurants. But we just enjoy sitting on the deck, laughing, eating, drinking and watching the birds, fish and boats.
