Enjoy a peaceful getaway to relax and unwind. Enjoy views of the lake from a wrap around deck.
Short drive to Eaton’s Ferry Bridge, Food Lion, Water’s View and The Point restaurants.

Kayaks available for your use.
Access to community boat launch for water toys. This is a “cozy” home, meaning it’s not the Ritz or Taj Mahal, but we keep our home clean and well maintained with thoughtful touches to make your getaway special. This home does not have a dock, which is why the nightly rate is comparatively lower than others. Most of our guests are friends, neighbors and repeat customers. We know folks work hard and need to relax, our goal is to make sure you get that R&R here and wish to return.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this property. I love the seclusion of it at the end of the dead end road and the Lakeview is beautiful. There is a little issue with the check-in process, but the host was very helpful and we figured it out immediately. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wanted a nice quiet Lake view getaway.

2bd 1 ba. Decent place. There is a stairway to a deck near the lake but no real lake access so if that is what you are there for you will need a place to access the lake.

This was my 2nd stay here. Great location just a few minutes from the boat landing. Super comfortable and spacious. Great views. Peaceful and quiet. Hosts were quick to respond to any questions I had. I'll be back soon.

We had a wonderful time here. Absolutely loved it, would highly recommend this little gem. This place was so comfy and cozy, just what we needed. Super clean. They have everything there that you could need or want. Everything was very comfortable from the beds, pillows, and furniture. Great views of the lake, wonderful views of the stars at night. Far out from the world to be in your own, but not too far out that you cant get to a grocery store in less than 30 minutes. If we ever get the chance or need to rent this property again, we wont hesitate in the slightest. Cannot talk well enough about this property. The hosts were really quick with responses and info that we needed. If you are on the fence and don't know if this is the property to rent, just do it, you wont be disappointed.

The property and house were excellent. Plenty of accommodation in the home and the views of the lake were beautiful. Quiet and tucked away, perfect for a get-away.

The house was spacious and well equipped, exceeding expectations. Very comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again. Minutes from the boat ramp. Ideal place to stay when fishing Lake Gaston.

Lakehouse

We found the property very nice. The house has been beautifully renovated. The walkway down to the lake is very nice, however lake access is tricky. Your basically right in the neighbors backyard. Other than that, it's a very nice place on the lake.

Relaxing at Lake Gaston

The property was just as it was in photos as in person. It is in a quiet area, little traffic, just what you want when you want down time and no drama! Fun areas to explore. Went to Lake Gaston Coffee, awesome scones and coffee. A very nice selection of wines for a coffee shop. Had dinner at Waterview in Littleton. Not far from house at all. Food was great. Right on the water and have music on select days. Rosemont winery is a must. We will be back. Our host was wonderful. Answered all our questions and feedback very helpful..

An Enjoyable Stay

The lake house exceeded our expectations. It was tastefully renovated and contained all the items needed for our vacation. The view of the lake from the deck was better than depicted in the photos. Lastly, we wish we would have booked another day because the lake was amazing! The water is clear and calm enough that we fell asleep on the raft Tuesday afternoon. While the path to the lake was a little steep, we found it clearly marked and manageable. The shoreline is sandy with a gradual grade over a rocky bottom perfect for entry by kayak, paddleboard, and raft.

Quiet getaway

Everything was as described. We stayed for four nights. Every night we went for a walk and couldn’t believe how peaceful the neighborhood was. Plenty of deer along the way to keep us company. One afternoon we took our fishing poles and walked to the community boat launch where we were able to catch some fish! During the day we enjoyed the lake using the kayaks and canoe that was available. MJ was quick to respond when we asked for the code to access the canoe at the bottom of the stairs. We also explored the small towns nearby and enjoyed some good food. Overall such a great experience. Exactly what we were looking for in a quiet and peaceful getaway.

Grandkids

Place is outdated. Peacefull settings but come with challenges. Could have been cleaner on outside decks. Ants every morning swarming had to toss toothbrushes and some food. Kayaks would be nice if you could get them to the water. Wifi was awful and if you cant stream at least put a digital antennae up. Then accuse of having five people stay with me which was false. Will not rent again!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay

For being right at the lake the rate is very affordable. We took the kayaks out and walked into the water to cool off after we got back. There is no boat dock but we weren’t planning on renting a boat for the week anyway. We went out for dinner one night at WatersView Restaurant on the north side of the eating ferry bridge. The fried captain’s platter and spicy margarita was great. We also drove to the Palmer Point Park at the Kerr Reservoir. The beach was great. We stopped at lucky’s grill and dairy bar for a burger on the way there. We also drove over to Roanoke Rapids Lake Day Use Area to walk the trail but with the major heat wave decided to cut it short and go to the Riverside Mill antique mall in Weldon. The door code deadbolt wouldn’t open a couple times. If so you have to pull outward on the door knob slightly to relieve the binding and allow the motor to slide the deadbolt open. We had the same issue at our house so I knew what to do

Third time staying at this property I had a great stay as always. Everything we needed was right there roomy and comfortable and close to the lake. Great view of the lake enjoyed a couple of cookouts on the deck.

The House is very cute and clean. The property is lovely and quiet. We had everything we needed for our long sister’s weekend. The host had a nice binder of info. Taking the trash was simple and close-by. The water pressure in the shower was luxurious and strong. Had some amazing fox sightings that really made for a special experience. Didn’t take advantage of the kayaks. The grill could use a refresh but was still usable. We enjoyed every minute!

Great Experience
