Lovely family escape

My family and I loved staying at Yacht Harbor Court! This was our first trip to Isle of Palms and to Wild Dunes and we would certainly come back. The house was spacious and spotless with plenty of room for two families of four. We loved the ample porches and the rooftop. Being a short drive to the Sweetgrass Inn with pool and beach access was so nice and easy. Would happily come back. The kitchen had all utensils and supplies, but no basics such as salt & pepper, oil, or filtered water. So, a heads up for those planning to cook on vacation, bring your essentials!

This was a terrific house for our Girls' Trip. We are beyond sleeping on a couch or in bunk beds, so we needed a house with 4 bedrooms. Everything is well kept and it was very clean. The beds, bedding, and pillows were fabulous. Things to keep in mind: this is a three-story house and stairs are plentiful. If you have mobility issues, this is going to be a tough place for you. The first floor is the entry so you must climb stairs to get to the second and third floors.The kitchen is equipped with the very basics, but it was okay for our needs. The houses are very close together, and almost all the homes have screened-in porches. I can imagine this gets more helpful as the heat/humidity rise along with the bugs! However, you are literally a few feet from your neighbors on each side. On one side, the owner of the home had an infant and a toddler. We could hear the infant crying and if we had sat on the porch at the same time, we could have provided a recap of their conversations. There are security cameras around the house so when you're on the grounds, porch, rooftop area -- cameras are on. We were a little creeped out about it but there wasn't anything we could do. The location of the home is near the Wild Dunes secured entrance and that was convenient. We rented bikes on the grounds and enjoyed seeing the resort area. There are entryways to the beach but it's not a walkable distance. The view of the Marina was really lovely.

The two bedrooms located on the second floor share a bathroom (jack and jill bathroom) that only have one sink. The house does not have mirrors in any room in the house other than in the bathrooms. This means for the people sharing the Jack and Jill bathroom, they have to wait to use the bathroom sink and mirror. We had four teenagers on this trip sharing the jack and jill bathroom. Without a second sink or mirrors in any other room, they had to wait to get ready for dinner, etc.
