We had a wonderful stay for our mini honeymoon! The property is beautiful, host is very friendly and the hot tub is perfect! We would absolutely stay here again. Only thing I would recommend is try to arrive during daylight hours. We arrived after dark so the host, Mark, was very helpful getting us there and settled in

We had a wonderful stay at this charming lodge. It’s nicely remote with beautiful wooden views, about a 25-minute drive from the nearest small town — the perfect balance of peaceful seclusion and reasonable access.The lodge itself is small but extremely clean and well organized. Everything was thoughtfully arranged and ready for our arrival.Mark was a kind and precise host — clear communication and attentive throughout.A real highlight was the wildlife: deer and a hummingbird appeared at dusk, which made the evenings magical. The weather was perfect the whole time, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, well-kept retreat in nature.

The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful honeymoon. The cabin was the perfect location- secluded and quiet but close to Burnsville and not a bad drive to Asheville. Mark had helpful suggestions for the area and was very responsive to any questions.

We chose this accommodation as it had easy access to the Appalachian Trail (AT), was secluded, quiet and close to Asheville, where we were flying out of. Mark was an excellent host, very knowledgeable about the area and very accommodating. He helped us get our luggage to the cabin when it turned out we didn't have an all-wheel drive vehicle, which is needed to get up the driveway. He also helped us get to the AT the first day of our visit to enjoy some hiking. The spa was a great way to unwind at the end of the day. The cabin was well appointed with everything we needed. We highly recommend this accommodation to other couples.

Mark was a fantastic host! He reached out to us before the trip to confirm the route we were taking and help us out with activities to do around Burnsville. The view at the cabin was amazing and the cleanliness was next level!

The cabin was well equipped and IMMACULATE. Our host was charming and accommodating. He made our anniversary trip so special. The views were spectacular, and the cabin was cozy and beautifully appointed. I will be recommending to friends!

For us, it was nicer, cleaner, and even more enjoyable than expected. The property is immaculate, you can tell pride is taken in the place and the property has been thoughtfully laid out and maintained. It's sort of remote which is the best for us. Half hour from stores is none too far to us. Wildlife viewing from the windows or porches is on point, half a dozen deer a day most within 30 yards, along with all the other resident woodland creatures, they all kept their distance and were a delight to witness. The climate was beyond pleasant, 100 degrees in asheville and 79 degrees at this cabin, every afternoon we relished in how much better it felt on the mountain compared to town in the summer. If you like scenic, semi remote, God's creation in all it's glory from an extremely pleasant, helpful, and generous host; look no further. Plenty of activities to get into within a short drive from the place.

We enjoyed our long weekend at this beautiful property, everything was perfect and as described in the listing. Mark is an incredibly accommodating host and very attentive to anything we could need or want. The view from the hot tub overlooking the meadow was astonishing, especially with all the deer and chipmunks we saw. I would definitely stay here again.

The cabin setting is on a beautiful mountain,surrounded by trees, the interior of the cabin is immaculate, bed was super comfortable, spa was amazing! Mark is a great host!if we had a question he always answered quickly. He really made us feel at home. We would definitely stay there again.

This is the most welcoming host I’ve ever dealt with. It seems like he truly cares about your stay. He thinks of everything possible to make you as comfortable as he can. The photos do not do it justice, the cabin is absolutely beautiful and he supplies everything you need. The jacuzzi is absolutely amazing and the views are breathtaking. This was a perfect getaway.

Mark is a great host and very accommodating. We really enjoyed our conversations with him and the "restoration" tour. The cabin is very peaceful and quiet; the hot tub provided the perfect way to relax after a long day of hiking. This place is definitely repeat worthy. Thanks for everything Mark.

Mark is a top notch host. The stay was absolutely wonderful for my wife and I. Fantastic amenities, including the Hot Tub/Spa. Very secluded and a beautiful view of the mountains, with the town of Burnsville not far away, it makes it easy to commute back forth if needed. The beds were comfortable, the gas kitchen stove is wonderful, and the shower was nice and hot. Also, if you love wildlife, there's plenty of deer for your viewing pleasure. Would recommend 10/10.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Mark's cabin in North Carolina. From the moment we arrived, Mark made us feel so welcome and at home. Communication was clear, friendly, and prompt, and every detail of the cabin showed how much care was put into making guests comfortable. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and perfect for a relaxing getaway with the spa jacuzzi. It had everything we needed and more, making it easy to unwind and truly enjoy the serene beauty that surrounds you at this cabin. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing, and memorable stay in North Carolina.

Cozy Cabin Getaway

Mark was an amazing host, making sure we had everything we needed! The cabin was clean, equipped with everything we needed, and the views were impecable! The hot tub was an awesome addition and very well maintained. This was just the getaway we were looking for and we were sad to leave!

Best getaway spot ever!

This was the best stay I've ever had. The house and property are goegeous!! Mark was a wonderful host and clearly takes pride in sharing his property and giving folks a great experience. My favorite part was relaxing in the hottub and the amazing views from the porch. The house has everything you need for a wonderful relaxing stay. I can not wait to visit again!

Great Stay

Cabin was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Hot tub was great. Mark, the owner of the property is fantastic. Super friendly and easy to deal with. Took the time to point out the features of the property. Would absolutely recommend this place to all looking, do not hesitate to book it.

Clean and So Quiet

This was one of the best vacation rentals we have ever rented. The house is very, very nice. It was spotless and very well-appointed. Mark was extremely friendly. We loved the hot tub!!! It was an excellent vacation, and we will definitely be coming back!!

I had an amazing time! It was just what I wanted. Mark, the host, went above and beyond! I was so amazed at the service: the amenities, the peace, the quiet. The cabin has some great features, and a lot of care was put into my stay! 10 Stars! This is my first time using Vrbo, and this experience was so fantastic, I don't think I will ever need to stay anywhere else when I visit the mountains! Highly Recommended!

Wedding Anniversary Getaway

My wife and I visited 1108 Riddle Branch Road for the 3rd time and it was a very relaxing vacation. The cabin was very clean and the furnishings were extremely comfortable. The hot tub was so relaxing and the mountain views were spectacular! Our host, Mark, took us on a "restoration tour" of Burnsville in his UTV and it is amazing how much progress has been made by local, state and federal authorities on restoring the roadways and bridges. Thank you for another special getaway, Mark!

Wonderful!!

We could not have asked for a better place or host. The cabin and location exceeded all of our expectations. The cabin was immaculate and had everything we needed. We cannot say enough about how awesome Mark was as a host. He made our stay perfect! Definitely want to return.
