Customer service was great. Clear instructions for check in and check out. Dishwasher did not work, master bedroom fan did not work. A LOT of trees over cabin with acorns falling all night and day. Only given 2 rolls of toilet paper for a whole week with 5 people. Driveway is HORRIBLE, scraped my car every time in and out; it needs desperately needs to be repaved. Cabin was very clean but very outdated. Loved the gated community.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the cleanliness of the cabin, the gated community, and the service provided by our team. We sincerely apologize for the issues with the dishwasher and bedroom fan, as well as the difficulties you experienced with the driveway. We understand how frustrating that must have been, especially with your vehicle scraping each time. While the surrounding trees are part of the natural mountain setting, we understand that falling acorns can be disruptive. We also apologize for any confusion regarding supplies, as we provide a starter supply of toilet paper and other household essentials rather than enough for the entire stay. We truly appreciate your honest feedback and thank you for choosing Summit Cabin Rentals!

The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking, even has a waffle maker. The Hot tub was nice, I like that it’s located on a screened in porch. Driveway is a bit tricky with a low vehicle.

I didn’t want to fill this out but I think it needs to be known, Upon checking in, we found rodent poop all throughout the house. Thankfully we were given a refund but we were shocked to find this with all the previous good reviews.

Respuesta de VrboOwner, el 2 jun. 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize for the condition of the cabin upon your arrival. Finding evidence of rodents is completely unacceptable, and we understand how upsetting and disappointing that must have been, especially after reading so many positive reviews and looking forward to your stay. While we're glad we were able to provide a refund, we recognize that this did not make up for the disruption to your vacation. We take concerns like this very seriously and this was taken care of right away. We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Honest feedback, especially when something falls short of expectations, helps us improve and prevent similar experiences for future guests.

Property exactly as described and pictured. Although we weren't at the cabin much it was a relaxing stay. The host provided basic necessities such as dish soap, single wash laundry soap, wash clothes, towels, etc so you didnt have to rush out and get things at the store. The only thing that was slightly troublesome was the road/ driveway was a little more difficult getting into. But we figured it out, just have to pull up past the dri away and back in. No biggie. But loved our experience. Thank you to the host!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're delighted to hear the cabin was exactly as described and that you had a relaxing stay. It's wonderful to know you found the home well stocked with the essentials needed to get settled in without having to make an immediate trip to the store. We always try to provide those little conveniences to help make our guests' stays more comfortable. We also appreciate your comments about the driveway. Mountain properties can sometimes take a little getting used to, and we're glad you were able to find a method that worked well for you. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us and for sharing your experience. We're so happy you loved your stay and hope to welcome you back for another Smoky Mountain getaway in the future!
