Thank you, Fred. We’re glad you enjoyed the quiet location, comfortable home, and resort-style backyard. We were a little surprised by the 8/10 rating given your positive comments and the exceptional off-season value received. Your group stayed in a $1.8 million estate for approximately the nightly cost of two nearby hotel rooms. During peak season, this home commonly rents for over $3,000 per night and consistently receives five-star reviews. Nevertheless, we appreciate your business and are pleased your grandsons had such a wonderful time. —Robin ScottsdaleStays

Hi Christopher, Thank you for staying with ScottsdaleStays and for recognizing the communication, responsiveness, and the amount of entertainment space the estate offers for large groups. Many guests choose our estates because they provide far more space, privacy, and activities than reserving multiple resort hotel rooms — often for a similar overall cost for the group. Isn’t it nice getting to stay in a $1.5M private estate with hundreds of thousands invested into upgrades, amenities, and entertainment features for about the same overall budget as renting just two hotel rooms at the Hyatt or Westin in this area — while also having full-time local staff available to answer questions and assist throughout your stay? We appreciate your stay and hope to host you again in the future. Returning guests can also save substantially by booking direct with ScottsdaleStays on future visits. ScottsdaleStays

We experienced MANY CLEANLINESS and PEST ISSUES that took away from our vacay & required us to move.Issues in FIRST 24 HOURS:-Bed bug found in bed-Two scorpions (one in bathtub & one in the pool)-cockroach in kitchen-Gopher mounds everywhere that caused the children to fall & injure multiple times.-Eyelashes and beer cans left behind by previous guests.-Deflated outdoor balls-stinky fridge-smelled like prior spill & not cleaned -broken chair saying do not use-broken outdoor fridge When we reported the bed bug, the response was disappointing. No one was sent out promptly, and we were not offered an alternative property. Instead, communication became argumentative, and we lost valuable vacation time dealing with these issues and relocating. (SEE THEIR REPLY COMMENTS IN ALL THE VRBO REVIEW. Clearly not helpful) *Ultimately we were offered to move on Monday PM AFTER:-picture evidence of bed bug-capturing the bugs in plastic bags since we were not being believed. -messages back and forth saying they’ve never had a bed bug and trying to blame us for it -bug exterminator- searching all our bedrooms and trying to tell us it was ok to stay (after we left they bombed the room for bed bugs)-maintenance guy coming and checking everything again -pack up the whole house finally and move We checked in on Saturday and weren’t offered the change until Monday PM after multiple messages and drop ins costing us time on trip. ALL AVOIDABLE IF HOST CLEAN & MAINTAINED HOME

Amy, we’re sorry your stay was disrupted. Cleanliness and pest concerns deserve prompt attention, and we understand that inspections and relocating took time away from your vacation. Our response included a pest-control inspection, maintenance visits, and ultimately a complimentary move to an upgraded estate that normally rents for approximately $1,500 more per night. That was a substantial effort to accommodate your group, although we recognize it did not erase your initial concerns. Our maintenance team is available by phone to address issues during a stay. We are reviewing the reported conditions and the timing of our response to improve how concerns like these are handled. ScottsdaleStays
