The quiet side of Pompano Beach: a Hillsboro Shores home where the sand is a five minute walk, about two blocks from the front door.
Two things to know before you book: pool heating is optional at $30 the first day and $20 each day after (heats the saltwater pool to 85 degrees), and the game room unlocks for a flat $10 per day, with the door code sent as soon as you add it.
THE BACKYARD
The heated saltwater pool sits in a travertine deck with a poolside basketball hoop, loungers, and a shaded awning. The grapevine pergola is the evening headquarters: cushioned seating around a fire pit table, with mango and avocado trees close enough to pick in season. The natural gas grill never needs a propane swap, and the outdoor shower keeps beach sand where it belongs.
THE GAME ROOM
Behind its own door: two multi-game arcade cabinets with about 20 titles each, a foosball table, and a PS5 with EA Sports titles and a PlayStation Network subscription, all in front of a 75 inch TV with its own sofa bed. A flat $10 a day unlocks all of it.
THE GREAT ROOM AND KITCHEN
One bright open space: living room with a 75 inch smart TV, a dedicated workspace, and dining at the sliders with the pool filling the glass. The kitchen runs on Quartz counters and stainless steel: gas range, espresso machine, air fryer, a real knife block, and pans that actually cook. If there is a gadget you wish for, tell us; we like growing the collection.
SLEEPS 12, THREE GENERATIONS DEEP
The king suite has a 55 inch TV and a private ensuite that doubles as a cabana bath for the pool. The guest room sleeps four across two queens with its own 55 inch TV. Two queen sofa beds in the living room and the game room sofa bed round out space for 12, every bed dressed in hotel-grade Standard Textile linens. All TVs are smart; bring your own logins.
PACKED FOR FAMILIES AND BEACH DAYS
A high chair, pack n play, stroller, and two car seats with an infant carrier are already here. The beach closet holds chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, beach towels, and fishing rods for guest use, next to a second refrigerator for the big grocery hauls.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Hillsboro Shores is the part of Pompano Beach most visitors never find: a quiet residential strip on the barrier island between the Intracoastal and the ocean. Multi-million dollar homes to the north; a short walk south brings waterfront restaurants, bars, and marinas. Walk to scuba, snorkeling, paddleboard and surf rentals, fishing charters, and a working marina. The Hillsboro Lighthouse anchors the inlet views, the free Circuit shuttle covers the beach district along A1A, and the Pompano Beach Pier is minutes away.
GETTING AROUND
The beach is a five minute walk, and most everything else on the barrier island is walkable or a short ride: the free Circuit shuttle runs A1A (Ride Circuit app or wave one down), Uber and Lyft arrive quickly, and Broward County Transit covers the wider area. Parking for 4 cars on the circular paver drive.
GOOD TO KNOW
300 Mbps wifi, Nest climate control, and a full laundry room with detergent included. Quiet hours run 10 pm to 8 am in this residential enclave, the lead guest must be 30 or older and present at check-in, every guest signs a quick pool waiver, and this is a no smoking, no party, no pets home. Please rinse at the outdoor shower before the pool after beach days. Professionally cleaned and personally checked between every stay by our own company, Acuity Property Management.
