Barefeet Retreat is a low country 2 story, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa overlooking a large saltwater marsh located within the gated community of Litchfield By The Sea (LBTS) and a short walk to the pristine Litchfield beach and pool. Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy the stunning coastal Carolina sunsets from the oversized deck off the back or a hammock below at this peaceful retreat.

This villa has been meticulously renovated blending modern touches with coastal charm and everything is brand new. When we say "everything is brand new" we mean everything. All new appliances, new furniture, new HVAC systems, new floors, new TVs, new light fixtures, etc. The villa features a custom fully equipped kitchen with quartz counter tops, flat top range, and other modern appliances.

MAIN FLOOR: 1 bedroom (with 1 queen and 1 twin XL bed) with ceiling fan, full bath, open floor plan with kitchen, dining, and living area that opens to sundeck with saltmarsh view.

SECOND FLOOR: 1 bedroom (with 1 King) with ceiling fan, full bath, kids ensuite (with 1 twin)

AMENITIES: Flat screen smart TVs (with cable) in living room and both bedrooms, wireless internet access, an outside shower with hot and cold water, microwave, dishwasher, full size washer/dryer, covered patio, covered parking, private community pool.

ACCESSIBLE AMENITIES: Miles of soft sandy beach, oceanfront clubhouse with large deck area with sun shades, bathrooms and multiple rinsing showers. Community swimming pool, 5 lighted outdoor tennis courts and 2 pickleball courts, biking and walking/jogging paths, lakeside fishing, and close proximity to prominent golf courses and trendy eateries.

BEACH ACCESS: 4-5 minute walk

HOUSEKEEPING / LINENS: Full departure clean service after every guest, bed linens and bath towels provided with beds made upon arrival. Bath towels, hand towels, face cloths, and bathmats. (Does not include beach towels)

PARKING: covered parking available

LENGTH OF STAY: Weekly stays only in summer (some partial weeks available). Partial week stays available during off season.

Litchfield by the sea

Great location for a family beach vacation. Litchfield beach was beautiful and not too crowded. Condo was spotless when we arrived and had everything we needed including beach supplies. We would definitely stay there again!

Litchfield did not disappoint us. We made lots of great memories with our Granddaughter who loves swimming. We loved our condo at Heron Marsh, it was beautifully decorated. Would definitely stay again. Nicely renovated and very clean.

Perfect Property

The villa is perfect and exceptionally organized. Everything you could ever need or want was provided. The area was quiet, and we were comfortable during our stay. Flet safe due to the secure access to the property as well. Something that was never lacking was communication. Very impressed!

All the Comforts of Home

We cannot say enough good things about our experience here! The location is serene, and just a short walk from the pool and beach. The home is beautifully decorated, beds are comfortable, and towels are soft! The kitchen is stocked with any and all dishes and cookware you might need. This was our first trip to Litchfield Beach and we will definitely be coming back. We highly recommend this home for your next beach vacay!

Barefeet Retreat is the best!

We stayed here for a week over our spring break and had the best time. The unit is well furnished with everything you need and more and it is just a cozy, comfortable place. The view of the marsh is unreal you are maybe a 4 minute walk to the beach and even closer to the pool and tennis courts. Check-in / Check-out was super-easy and Scott is very responsive. There is a great, mobile-friendly, welcome guide that has all the necessary info from wi-fi set up, TVs, remotes, amenities and more. I highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic Beach Vacation!

We loved our stay at Scott's condo! When we first arrived, we couldn't believe there was absolutely no sand in sight throughout the entire unit. The place was immaculate and they did a wonderful job in remodeling it. We usually travel with a few items when we stay at different rentals, i.e dish towels, cutting board, knives, stool (for our daughter to brush her teeth), night lights. They had all these items, which we couldn't believe! We've stayed in a lot of rentals throughout the US, this was hands down the most well stocked. The condo was convenient to the pool, tennis courts and the beach. The Litchfield by the Sea community was wonderful having your own private beach and meeting all the wonderful guests/residents. Finally, Scott was very communicative and readily available to answer our questions and inquires. We'll be back to stay for another beach vacation!

recently renovated and clean condo at a beautiful resort

This Litchfield-by-the-Sea condo is newly remodeled, clean and the kitchen is completely stocked with all the essentials. The mattresses are great, plenty of thick stain-free bath towels and a fresh scent fills the air when entering the condo. The owner has also provided outdoor activities (boogie boards, two beach chairs, two umbrellas and various sand toys) for your convenience. What a pleasant surprise. There is a Huntington State Park beach pass available to those who may want to check out the park. In addition, the owner provided dishwasher and laundry detergent, another extra! Do I dare mention that there was a bag of fresh coffee awaiting us???? Fingers crossed that this condo remains in pristine condition as I know renters can be hard on things. Thank you Scott, we really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful condo.

Highly Recommend

Litchfield By The Sea is one of my family's favorite spots to vacation. This villa is comfy, trendy and it feels so new that you might believe you were the first family to stay there. It is also located in a very convenient spot in terms of being close to the pool and tennis courts. Everything was impeccably clean with a well stocked and organized kitchen, including some basic spices, cooking oils, and a full bag of coffee. Our stay was on the shorter side, so we only cooked one meal while we were there. But they truly had everything you would need to cook a large scale meal at home. (including a griddle & crockpot) The towels are soft, beds are comfy, and they provide a nice assortment of beach items in the bottom for you to borrow for the beach. I also liked that they offer basic cable to use to watch tv. We use VRBO homes a lot and we don't really like having to enter all of our passwords each time on vacation to use our streaming services. It was nice to just be able to turn on the normal cable to watch without bothering with passwords. (But we appreciate that you have that capability as well with the Roku TVs.) My only suggestion for the villa would be that I wished there had been one empty shelf or cabinet in the kitchen reserved for storing groceries during the stay. It wasn't a big issue since we were there just a few days, but if I was staying a full week I would have needed to get creative for where to put our groceries for the week. (There was a small cabinet over the sink where we were able to put a box of cereal and a couple of bags of snacks that we had.) I highly recommend this villa and would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful spring break trip!

This was our family's first time visiting Pawley's Island and we loved the Litchfield community and this villa in particular. The villa was clean and remodeled beautifully with attention to every detail. It felt like home from the moment we walked in and throughout the trip my husband and I commented on the various finishing touches and decor they chose. We loved staying in Litchfield as it felt like a resort area. The beach was a short 5 minute walk with our 4 & 5 year old kids. Each morning we walked to the beach to see the sunrise and have a breakfast picnic. The community is beautiful with lots of palmettos and I enjoyed a walk each morning. The beach was gorgeous with soft sand and we saw dolphins swimming our first day. The waves were perfect for our kids to play in and there were plenty of seashells to collect. We never felt like it got too crowded and overall was a great family atmosphere. There are restrooms by the beach as well as beach ramp access so we could easily pull our wagon. We loved that the villa is close to a lot of great restaurants - our favorites were Frank's and Hot Fish Club (short drive away in Murrell's Inlet). There's a Starbucks within Litchfield which was convenient. Rosie's Pizzeria was great for a relaxing dinner to eat on the balcony after a long beach day and we loved getting açaí bowls at Anything Froz and Parlor Doughnuts for breakfast. There are many family activities within driving distance, which was nice to mix it up with beach days for a week long vacation. The Hammock Shops at Pawley's was the most adorable shopping village we'd ever seen. We also enjoyed visiting Broadway at the Beach (~35 mins), Barefoot Landing (~50 mins) and Market Commons (~30 mins) which had a lot of cute shopping and activities. Before we headed home on our last day, we also did mini golf at Runaway Bay but there were several options nearby. We did not make it to Brookgreen Gardens but is on our list for next time! The only downside: there were a lot of bugs that bit us in the morning and early evening, both on the beach and balcony overlooking the marsh which wasn't pleasant. We picked up bug spray mid-trip which helped, but they were a bit fierce! We hadn't experienced that on any other beach trip so not sure if it's seasonal (we went early April) or unique to the area. Overall it was a wonderful family trip and we would love to stay at this same villa again in the future!

This property was outstanding for our purposes. We wanted a few days at the beach, at the pool, on the tennis courts, and including easy bike rides. We achieved all! The greatest surprise was how beautiful and accessible Huntington Beach State Park and beaches were. The house was immaculate, fully stocked, and organized for lots of time cooking up seafood in the kitchen. We really appreciated this. Thanks for making this such a wonderful getaway for us, Scott!
