Best view I've had yet on the Island

Place was great, looked like the pictures and very very convenient. Parking was a breeze and felt safe because the property is gated. The host have an umbrella and a couple of beach chairs on the balcony that you can use, the umbrella helped greatly. The pools are great and the spa, you just continue to walk through that area right to private beach access. I'll definitely be back to stay if available when I travel.

Exactly as advertised

The Condo and its amenities were accurately described. The property had 2 nice swimming pools and was waterfront as well as our room facing the gulf. The property was gated as well. The Condo was centrally located on the island and close to everything. We had a very nice stay and are glad that we chose to stay there.

Loved Our Condo!

This was the third time we have stayed in this condo for a month each time. The view of the Gulf of America was fabulous! Our deck was so enjoyable to sit out on. We spent many hours outside watching the sun rise and people walking to and from the beach. The condo is spacious and very clean.

Loved Our Condo!

Sunrises

Beautiful view the ocean, sunrises, there is a pool, hot tub, washer dryer on site, Blue Ocean as very responsive on questions I may have had. Close walking distance to restaurants, grocery store etc. Great area for sea shell searching

Awesome views and a great condo

We had a great stay at this condo. Everything we needed was provided. The grounds were well kept and was an easy walk to the beach. Sunrises were so nice and the balcony was added plus. Definitely recommend.

Perfect getaway

Beautiful condo, beach front, in an excellent island location. Rosa and Rod are excellent hosts. I recommend BOVR without hesitation, and definitely we will comeback.

The location was great especially walking to beach. Home was welcoming and just big enough for me and kids and wife.

Beautifully peaceful

What a beautiful condo! My husband and I wanted to take our kids (15&12 now) on a birthday beach getaway. This condo and own far exceeded our expectations!! Thank you for a wonderful memory with my family. We will be back!

1 Week Stay. Great View!

The remodel of apt was partial truth. Kitchen needs remodeling . It was a nice apt that needs more remodeling and upgrades. Will be an excellent condo when done. . No washer and dryer. Great access to beach and local areas. Well equipped !! Great air conditioner! Watch out for extra fees from VRBO ! Rent straight to rental company! Sneaky deal they pulled.

Dear Irene, Thank you for taking the time to give us your review. The condo at Beach House II 202 has all what it takes to make a great 5* vacation for almost every vacationer. I am going to mention here the upgrades that you left aside: upgraded with tile flooring throughout, upgraded bathroom with tiled walk-in shower, just purchase a new king mattress set and we painted the whole condo. What is left is the kitchen that is in the projects for next year and it is still usable and in good shape. We are oceanfront, have a gorgeous view of the ocean, a great location from where you can walk to many of the island's amenities, two pools and hot tub. Basically, all what it takes to have a great vacation! Regarding your booking on VRBO, we do not have anything to do with your choice of booking apps. When you go through VRBO or any of the others, you get commission charge and so do we. We don't like it either but cannot control the choice of booking of our guests. Changing the subject, we hope you enjoy the island and hope to see you back at Blue Ocean Vacation Rentals. Cheers!

Ok but needs work

The bed was completely sloped (like your laying on a hill), the bathroom was super outdated and moldy, the porch didn’t have a table and was chipping away. The view was spectacular, the location great, beach awesome, pool ok, hot tub didn’t work! Just would expect a little better for one of the highest priced 1 bedrooms on the island.

Comfortable and perfect location

We enjoyed our stay very much. The owners and BOVR we so easy to work with. The app they send with all of the codes and details was great. They also got back to me quick when I needed something. It was good. The unit is in a great location. We could sit on the balcony and feel like we were floating on the ocean. It was quiet and so relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and we felt like we had everything we needed. I would go back today. The unit was clean and well outfitted. The building is older but well maintained, and our unit had been upgraded with new floors and shower. There is still some more they could do but all in all it was very nice. We loved walking down the beach to the cafe at The Palms for dinner. The beach here is great and not too crowded. Great place!

Wonderful getaway with spectacular view

The condo has gate access and parking was just outside the front door. The condo is also just steps to the elevator. There was a code for entering the condo so no worrying about a key to keep track of. The condo is an older unit, but is still very clean and comfortable. The kitchen has pretty much everything you could need. The view from the living room and bedroom were my main reason for staying here. The constant breeze makes it possible to sit on the balcony all day without getting too hot. You can watch the sunrise in the morning from the balcony or just laying in bed. We will surely be returning to this property again. The only things I would change are; have a larger microwave in the kitchen and provide upgraded seating and a table on the balcony. Also, the owners are very responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hated to leave.

Perfect setup

What a great setup for our week on the beach! We had one kid with us who loved crashing on the big sectional sofa. The second floor balcony gave great views of the ocean in the mornings (can’t see the water from the first floor), and getting our gear to and from the beach was super easy with only one flight of stairs (elevator is slow, so the second floor is the place to be in this complex). We set up our umbrella and chairs each morning and would leave them out when we came in for a few hours at lunch, and felt good being able to keep an eye on our gear from the condo. We loved being able to spray off and jump in the pool each time that we came in from the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed to fix some memorable meals from the fish we caught. I don’t know that there’s a better setup on South Padre for our family than this condo. The owners, Rod and Rosa, were super clear with instructions for parking, entry codes, etc. We didn’t have any questions or issues with the condo/property because of their organized communication. Near the end of the stay, we realized that we accidentally booked a day shorter than we thought. We texted the owners and received a quick response and confirmation to extend our trip - a totally hassle free experience. Thanks Rod and Rosa!
