The host was great to communicate with. However the unit wasn't exactly clean. One of the rooms had what looked like blood on the ceiling and the comforter was clearly stained with something biological and the sheets on that bed were also stained. If you like bed on the former side you'll love the beds... otherwise you will no enjoy them. The jacuzzi was not clean and was only cleaned the day we were leaving. The lounge chairs were not usable either. They need to be replaced. The property could be really awesome if they did a little maintenance and cleaning. There were wires that were bare and were clearly missing lights. If you land in Liberia airport I woud get a rental car. It makes it 100 times easier to get around. The property is on an awesome beach, but it's very public and isn't crowded but it's definitely used by the locals. But still beautiful and had the coolest black and. Overall was a great start.

We had a nice time. The house is as advertised, and the location can’t be beat! Playa Ocotal is wonderful, especially during the week. The house was clean and well-stocked. While we were there, one of the AC units went out. The property managers took care of the problem quickly, with great communication. We’d stay here again anytime.

Beachfront Villa was footsteps away from the black sand beach. Beach was incredible with dynamic snorkeling and turquoise blue water. Home is a little more aged than the pictures and pool/pool deck were dirty and unkept.

Great location for a quiet beach stay. We loved the direct access to the beach, less crowded and only a short drive to Coco for more restaurant options. We also enjoyed cool bird watching and wildlife sightings right from the deck. Father Rooster is a fun restaurant just a few minutes walk and the snorkeling was also great!

Very family friendly!

My family and I visit the area and rent from Rich Coast commonly, as usual, their service makes the whole experience carefree!!! We love Ocotal and hope to enjoy this beach for many years to come

Everything was great . Could use some chairs for the backyard. Also seating for six not four as that is what is rented . But host was great as well as the location.

The location of this house is perfection if you enjoy a cute beach that's not in a super tourist-y location. Just a few steps to a pretty beach with decent snorkeling and a nice on-site restaurant.Hosts were very responsive and pleasant - would totally stay here again!

As described- great spot on the beach!

Clean, easy to find, secure, perfect covered and elevated deck for dinners and evening card games, great host communication and had everything we needed and more. Would stay here again!

We loved our stay. Access to beach was effortless. Bed and bedding was very comfortable. Management was very responsive!! In the pics and description it said there was a screened in porch. There wasn’t. Turns out that was fine. Also, there was no table big enough for 6 people nor were there chairs enough. We were just two so that was fine. But if you have a larger group be aware of that. Appliances very very nice!! Quiet and peaceful!!! Would definitely stay again!!

Perfect Stay – Absolutely Magical!We had the most amazing stay at this home—truly could not have asked for anything better! The oceanfront location is unbeatable, and the beach itself felt absolutely magical. The water is stunning—clear, beautiful, and perfect for relaxing or exploring.One of our favorite surprises was how close the house is to a blowhole—such a unique and fun experience! The surrounding town is also very walkable, which made it easy to explore and enjoy the area without needing to drive everywhere.The house itself had everything we could possibly need—fully stocked and incredibly comfortable. You can tell a lot of thought went into making guests feel at home. The gated neighborhood made us feel very safe, and having access to three community pools was such a bonus!Groceries and essentials are an easy trip into Coco, which made everything super convenient.Honestly, we have zero complaints. This place was perfect, and we would come back in a heartbeat!

What a phenomenal stay! Right on the beach of Ocotal, with amazing backyard beach access. Great location to access all the incredible nature that Guanacaste has to offer. Rich Cost Vacations was a great host with extremely useful concierge services. Highly recommend!

Perfect snorkel beach getaway

This place was steps from a soft black sand beach with excellent snorkel opportunities. Restaurant also steps away. The kitchen was fully stocked and we really appreciated the cooler.

Excellent Location!

The location is fantastic! The property is just steps away from the beautiful black sand beach. The check-in process was very easy, and we appreciated that there was security on the property at all times. There were some issues with gutters coming loose due to heavy rain, but management responded quickly to ensure everyone's safety and protect the property.

Great condo, great location

Right on the beach, everything you would want supplied in condo. Rented golf cart for short drive to Playa Coco.

Nice house, perfect location

My wife and I stayed here with our mothers. There was plenty of room for everyone and we all felt very safe. Although the house is very nice, the real highlight was the location! Right on the beach, excellent snorkeling on both sides. The hosts offered to help set up excursions for us but we spent most of our time swimming and snorkeling right in front of the house! The plunge pool was also a nice, shaded dip in the afternoon. We enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Beach Stay

Enjoyable beach stay that met our expectations: steps to ocotal beach and restaurant; magical Sunsets and close drive (via our rental car) to Coco. Place was clean with minimal snorkel gear but have rentals available, no binoculars but bird watching from the porch is nice and easy to use gas grill for our meals/ comfortable beds and good TV/ kitchen but need your own groceries and have option for grocery delivery. Thank you for the stay. Pura Vida!!!

Amazing

Not only was the location perfect, the support via what’s app made the trip amazing. Throughout the trip, I had direct access to three incredible humans who facilitated all our needs: excursions, safety questions, general questions like where the best local market…and so much more. Every Vrbo should offer this type of customer experience.

The host was very responsive and handled all questions and issues quickly and professionally. We really appreciated the direct beach access, and the Ocotal Beach area itself is beautiful. Father Rooster’s nearby was a perfect bonus.That said, the unit would benefit from updates. The pool area was difficult to fully enjoy, as there was only one usable beach chair and another that was broken. There were two foldable umbrella chairs and some beach items stored in a closet, which was a nice touch.The flower beds contained broken building materials such as light fixtures, paint sticks, and boards, which took away from the overall appearance. With six people, the unit would feel quite crowded.If direct beach access is a priority, this unit may still be worth considering. I will note that The unit was very clean, and the extra linens were greatly appreciated.
