Wonderful home, right on the lake. Very clean and spacious and close to shopping. Hosted my family, all 12 of us felt we had enough space. We also rented a pontoon boat to see the lake. Great time for all. Very spacious deck in back was ideal for grilling as well. Hosts were very responsive and kind.

The place is beautiful and very clean. Matt was very attentive and responded to any questions right away. They were even kind enough to make sure there was fire wood and fire starters for the fire pit. We had a 10/10 time on our bachelor trip. It is very steep so bring some good shoes! We would definitely come back.

Well appointed with large comfortable rooms and lots to do on the property. The view of the lake is stunning even in winter. Quiet neighbor and convenient to downtown Hickory. Management was very responsive to the minor issues we had. Highly recommend this retreat!!

We booked this home for us and some family to stay at for our wedding that was nearby. The home was beautiful, clean, and the library was such a unique part of the home. Would definitely recommend this host and home every time!

The house and location were beautiful. The house accommodated my family perfectly. The view to the lake was stunning. Communication with the host was good. The only negative was that I was expecting the house to be spotless clean based on previous reviews. Great house to create memories!

The view was beautiful. The dock was under repair due to hurricane damage. Having the dock would have been a nice addition to our lake time. We hiked in nearby parks each day.

Lake House

Beautiful, well maintained, clean lakeside property that was perfect for our large family gathering. Lots of fun activities at the site and in the area for the children and adults. Host was very responsive and helpful.

Wedding parties

We had a great wedding weekend stay with all wedding party members. Beautiful mornings with coffee on the lake, beautiful sunsets in the evening. Great memories.

Room to Roam

This house is great for a large group. With 4 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms, plus lots of space to gather without feeling crowded. One note - both the driveway and the path to the lake are VERY steep.

House has open floor plan and very spacious with a beautiful view of the lake. There were 7 in our party and we were able to relax and not feel cramped. Well stocked kitchen and lovely appliances. Fire pit looked inviting but we didn’t have a chance to use. We will do that next time. Enjoyed our stay!!

Awesome lake house

This was our first trip to lake Rhodhiss and it was beyond what I expected! House was huge, beds very comfortable, great linens, great sunsets, best bunk room, and the lake toys were very much appreciated! The only downfall is the very steep walk to water.

Wonderful Wedding Weekend on the Lake

Wonderful stay! Very clean with lots of room to spread out. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Beautiful dining room area that we used to take gorgeous bridal photos. The photographer and videographer said the lighting was excellent. We would love to stay again! Matt was very quick to answer any questions we had.

80th Birthday Family Weekend

The house was even more beautiful in person. We celebrated my dads 80th birthday everyone had a great time. My 11-year old niece wrote a lengthy review in the guest book. 5 star rating from the youngest to the oldest in our group!

Our stay was simply unforgettable. From the very first moment, we fell in love with the lake views — they are truly breathtaking and bring a unique sense of peace. The house is huge, beautiful, and thoughtfully cared for in every detail; we didn’t lack anything at all, from kitchen condiments to games for the kids — everything was provided with so much care.The beds are extremely comfortable, perfect for resting, and the entire atmosphere of the house is warm and welcoming, making it ideal for enjoying time with family. The service was excellent at all times, and the owners were incredibly kind and attentive throughout the entire process.Our whole family absolutely loved it and took home wonderful memories. Without a doubt, this is a place we would love to return to

Lake Life Paradise!!

This spacious lake house was all that it was describe to be and more!! A place that fostered peace, love, tranquility, entertainment, and wonderful memories! The scenery is absolutely beautiful!! The rooms provided plenty of space for all 10 of us!! The beds were very comfortable. The house was very clean. Our host was superb!! His communication skills were excellent!! We loved it here!

Beautiful lakefront home!

This property is located in a good neighborhood, central to local stores and shopping. Beautiful large house with amazing view of the lake and mountains. Me and family of 7 adults and two small children fit very comfortably and with privacy in the house. The rooms are very spacious and well furnished. The house was clean and the kitchen fully stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit, pool table and library. I highly recommend this location for a memorable vacation.

Great Stay by the Lake

House was very well laid out and appointed. Spent time relaxing on the dock overlooking the lake, and the cool nights by the fire pit. Kitchen had everything needed for all our cooking needs. Beds were COMFORTABLE. Probably the most comfortable bed we have ever had at a rental. Communication with Matt was prompt and courteous. Nothing negative to say, hope to be back again some day.

Love this place

Wow, the house is beautiful. Lots of room for everyone. Matt, makes sure to keep in touch. And to resend info if need be Lol. We stayed with our family and some friends and enjoyed playing pool, fuse ball out on the screen porch and eating at a beauty’s table in front of huge beautiful windows. We would DEFINITELY stay again and it was the easiest stay we have ever had with VRBO

Beautiful home on Lake Hickory

Wow! We absolutely loved our stay here. My husband is from Granite Falls, however, we live in Maryland. This home was the perfect place to stay for our visit as it was plenty big enough for our family to hang out and leisurely spend time together. My 3.5 and 1.5 years olds especially loved the library, the bunk room, and the view of the lake from the dining room. Matt, the host, was great, super attentive to any messages. We will absolutely be back to stay again!
