We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shady Creek Cabin. It had everything we needed, including wildlife. We would definitely stay there again.

Great house in great location

This house was ideal for the family to get away for a long weekend. Location is in a great spot at the end of the road surrounded by trees and nature. House was spacious and very clean with everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Great family cabin

Really loved this property! Great location at the end of a lane with lots of privacy. We were surrounded by deer and turkeys all weekend. Plenty of beds for families with kids. Cool bunkhouse for the kids. Comfortable sitting areas and a great firepit outside. Highly recommend this property. We will absolutely book again when we are in the area! Great communication from the owners.

Beautiful Cabin in the Woods

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful cabin in the woods! Didn’t feel like Yankton, SD at all, felt more like the Black Hills. Plenty of space for our group of 12 - adults and teenagers. Loved the fire pit in the backyard and all the space for yard games. The blackstone grill was also a nice addition- loved cooking breakfast on the deck! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic Family Vacation

This property was perfect for our family getaway! We loved the remote area, yet very close to everything we wanted to do! Beautiful, well equipped home. Perfect backyard. We enjoyed our stay immensely and already booked it again for next year!

Perfect location

Very private! Kitchen and livingroom are upstairs so be prepared for stairs. Great shady tree views. Saw deer and turkeys super close to dock. Toilet paper is very thin

Repeat Visit

This was our third stay. We have visited in winter, fall, and summer. Each stay has been wonderful. I can’t describe how clean and comfortable this rental is. It belongs in an HGTV magazine! The hosts have thought of everything guests might need in all areas of the home. We had 6 adults plus and a set of 7 year old twins. The “treehouse” type bunk beds were so fun for the twins! The “old folks” stayed downstairs and the young ones had the upstairs where they could visit later into the evening. We highly recommend this rental.

Nice and beautiful cabin surround by tall trees

We’ve enjoyed our stay at Shady Creek property for 4 days. We came from California for my nephews graduation at Mount Marty University. It was quiet, peaceful, and very nice and clean. We saw wild turkeys every morning and a family of deer every afternoons while we were there. Our teens for to do marshmallow s’mores over the nice big fire pit.

Our Second Stay

This was our second visit to this property, and once again it was a wonderful experience. We had six adults and twin six year olds. Everyone enjoyed it- we took walks, made s’mores, visited around the fire, played corn hole, and had our meals there. Our rooms and the two bathrooms were perfect for us, and we found everything we needed. We had visits from the local wildlife- deer and turkeys! This is our favorite VRBO rental.
