Dont expect much

Mattresses were nothing, but springs and lumpy and not comfortable at all. there was mold and stuff growing around the air return and what appeared to be the original air filter.

Cottage was clean and open. Easy check in and host was responsive to messages. Would def stay here again next time I'm in town.

Needs work

This is a very old house with lots of character but in desperate need of new furniture (queen bed is lumpy/hard & VERY loud, couches are very old with sheets/covers, pillows are throw pillows in pillow cases), shower head, cookware, & sink/garbage disposal. The neighborhood and closest beach also probably used to be great but is quite rundown and there so much much trash on the streets and beach it was heartbreaking. Owner is responsive and nice. AC works well. Washer/dryer was invaluable after beach days.

Made our trip very comfortable

We Flew in from LAX and it was only a 30 minute drive. The house is a little old however it is still very comfortable and very clean. The host was very nice and let us check in earlier for an additional fee. The location was waking distance from a lot of restaurants, bars and convince stores. As well as a short scooter ride to the beach. We loved everything about the property and the area we stayed at. Some areas of opportunity or constructive feedback I can give is that the check in process could be better with a keypad which would make it easier than caring around a key and would also make us more comfortable leaving the house without thinking we could drop the key. There was no check out instructions, and the laundry room leaked water when it rained. Overall the stay was very lovely and for the price we paid made it very worth it!

Great location and price for the area.

Really enjoyed the area this little place was located, we had some amazing Thai food in walking distance from us. Long Beach seems to be on the expensive end, so it was nice to fine this place more in our budget. Host was communicative. Listing photos could use a little updating as some of the furnishings have changed.

We're first timers on Vrbo & this was perfect experience.

We definitely had a better experience in this home rather, than another hotel. Which was the reason we chose vrbo. WE loved the house, my kids felt comfortable, the neighborhood was quiet and quite close to everything we needed!! even cool lil surprises we found there. Overall our family vacation was probably our most comfortable and relaxing BIG THANKS TO THIS HOUSE!! i was able to even wash clothes huge help. If its available next year i would book again for sure!!

Incredibly dirty house

The only positive thing we have to report is the location. The house was filthy. Dirty sinks, bathtub with black scum, greasy handprints on the walls, dried out moldy coffee filter and coffee in the coffeemaker. Laundry room roof leaks so there is a massive puddle on the floor. The beds are just a fitted sheet with an old comforter on top. The garbage cans in the front yard are literally overflowing with garbage. Wish we could post photos.

Perfect location. Great value

This sweet cottage was perfect for myself and my two teen daughters. As a single mom I felt totally safe walking to all the fun areas close by with my girls. The house is old and has that cool charm. Relaxing on the front and back patios each morning and evening was great. The top bunk mattress was a bit uncomfortable for my 14 year old but other than that we all slept great! The host was very responsive and welcoming. We will stay again for sure.

Property owner Cancelled without Warning

Teachnically, I would not give ANY stars because I didn't get to stay in this property. The owner cancelled the booking without warning - only 2 hours before check-in time. Apparently, the people staying before me had decided to stay longer due to THEIR plans changing, and the propety owner allowed this and didn't think to tell me about it until I reached out to them, wondering why I still wasn't getting any instruction on checking in. So I texted, and the owner called, and just told me that I need to cancel MY plans. To make matters worse, the owner cancelled one of the two nights I had booked without consulting me before talking to me, so VRBO was able to help me find a place to stay for only one night as opposed to the two that I had originally booked. It looked like I had only booked one night. And that was after being on the phone with them for an hour, and they never got back to me regarding the second night, after I had called again the next day for an update on the situation. I'm guessing it's because it appeared to them that the situation was settled. While I received a full refund, all the distress was very upsetting and now I'm completely turned off of using VRBO and finding a rental through them. the fact that there are property owners who will do something like this makes me not want to use VRBO ever again. I would much rather spend the money on a hotel room than go through an experience like this ever again.

Great location. House could use some cleaning & repairs.

Overall I’d stay here again given a few adjustments. Firstly, the location is 5 star but the house seems like a work in progress, and needs attention to cleanliness and some minor shower head and bed repairs. Really nice neighborhood. Seriously. People are so amazingly nice and it’s so central to walk to anything you need. The floors were really dirty, within an hour of entering our feet were completely black with I’m not sure what and the floors felt oily. Cobwebs in corners. Just a few gnats flying above the sink. However it did seem to have been cleaned/wiped down just more attention needed to floors. The beds - I mean they are beds. Always a nice touch! But, they are loud. Every movement makes a loud squeak or groan. Not sure why the box spring is wrapped in plastic either, kind of worried us. Shower head is leaking so pressure is okay, and the leak shoots out the open side of the shower. Tub could use a sand and recoat to look newer. Dogs barking most of the night so if you’re a light sleeper like me, not great. However my partner sleeps heavy and didn’t mind it. Listing includes AC and washer & dryer. We found both the AC controls and washer on Lock mode so you can’t actually use them if needed. Figured out how to get washer to work, wasn’t able to use AC for the two afternoons it was hotter than 78 and my infant could’ve benefitted from some AC. We ended up going to a nearby indoor restaurant for AC during the peak heat of those day for the baby’s sake. Again, overall the cabin is basically where and what anyone needs. We just had a rough stay here having a baby with us and the few minor cleaning, noise, and AC issues.

Amazing Beach House

The host was very helpful and accommodating. The house and property is clean and spacious and private. Nice neighborhood with a little store right in walking distance 2 min. The beach is literally 8 minutes away!! Can’t ask for more!!!! Thank you!!!

Cute place!

Edwin was great at communication, checking in was easy, place was clean and has everything you could need. We really enjoyed our stay! The only “negative” I could think of is that all of the beds were a bit firm for my families liking.

Decent Beach Stay

This place was in a great location. Easy access to everywhere we needed to go. Check-in was a little difficult. Did not get access codes in a timely manner. However, with a few phone calls we received the information we needed. Property manager was in contact frequently after that issue. Everything else turned out nicely.

Short Weekend

Needed a nice to stay over for the weekend. Found this nice little home near the Shoreline. Very nice and very clean. All the amenities. Would stay there again.
