Beautiful place and perfect location. Minutes to the dog beach (perfect for our pups) and so close to great restaurants. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again!Thanks for a great stay, Susan!

The Mermaid apartment is in a great location, close to the beach, pier, dog beach, restaurants and cafes. It is charmingly decorated with mermaid decor and is very comfortable. The hosts graciously let us bring our sweet Golden retriever and told us about the dog beach and were very responsive to any questions we had. The neighbors were friendly and it was nice to have coffee in the morning on the private patio.

Such a great location in LB! Didn’t use my car once. Really well stocked especially the kitchen. Thoughtful touches everywhere. Would stay again!

We had an incredible stay at this lovely property! It is very welcoming and relaxing, with several amenities (even some snacks and bottled water when we checked in). It's walking distance to the beach and just a really cute neighborhood. Susan and Ted were very helpful and responsive as well. I look forward to going back!

The place was very clean and welcoming. The location was great as well! Close to the Rosie's Dog Beach, the Queen Mary, and fun restaurants and shops on 2nd Ave. Our hosts even made a special trip to bring extra linens for the hide-a-bed. We love the area and hope to return soon!

This was the perfect little place for my family trip. You can literally walk like 5 minutes to the beach or 5 minutes to restaurants and coffee shops. The one water make it a little tricky getting there if you miss your turn, but it’s an easy place to get to. Parking can also be tricky but even parking around the block is easy. I felt super safe and the neighborhood was peaceful! If you like to run you can run straight to the beach and then there is a very long running path all along the beach. We really enjoyed our stay here!

It is a dainty mermaid-themed accommodation. It’s pet friendly (plus the neighborhood itself and nearby beach is wonderfully pet friendly ). I love the little details like the “just in case you forgot something.” It is very cozy . Beach is literally within walking distance . It’s well maintained and clean.The only downside is the parking. It’s street parking only on a one way street. If you’re coming home late , you might park a little farther down the street or opposite street . But other than that , it’s a perfect family get away with fur babies.

The place was cute and in a great location. There was trash under the sofa when we pulled it out to have family to sleep on. There is only a mini split A/C in the living room. So more hotter days would most likely be unbearable. We did open the windows but bad sewer smell so we shut them. The host was great and allowed us to check-in on an unexpected early arrival.

Took our dogs to Monty’s Dog Beach and Bar! Very cool! Also rode our e bikes from the home all along the beach Bike Trail to the Queen Mary…Awesome bike ride! Easy walk down the back alley to the beginning of 2nd street bars and restaurants.Hard to find nice places that accept your fur babies without additional charges and in a good location!Perfect weekend getaway!

Comfortable apartment that is perfectly located! Walking distance to food, coffee, the beach, a bus stop to take you anywhere else in the city, and it’s an easy drive to Long Beach airport. Interior is cozy and clean, but the best part of the apartment are the places to sit outside and enjoy the California weather! Susan and Ted were great hosts and very responsive. We also appreciated the small stash of beach supplies available. Would definitely stay here again if traveling back to Long Beach.

This was our first VRBO rental and the experience was awesome. The house was in a great location near the beach, shopping and restaurants.The host was very communicative and provided all the needed information and items in the house. Thank you for a wonderful stay and making us feel at home!

We had such a wonderful stay. Nice condo , clean cute decor. Super easy to talk to host. They were nice and attentive. They had stuff for the beach if you wanted to go. Easy to walk to 2nd street. We went multiple times a day. Already pre planning next years trip. Would stay here again for sure.

The location is really great and we wanted to be close to the shops and restaurants on 2nd and within a short drive to different beach areas. That was great! The size of the space itself is also great, with very minimal street noise.Unfortunately, there were a few less idea issues we ran into. There's only one wall A/C unit in the living room and the air does not easily make it into the two bedrooms. The first night we slept there it was close to 80 degrees in both bedrooms and we all slept very badly. The host graciously brought us a number of fans the next day, which helped cool down the rooms a bit in the daytime (though not easy to use at night unless we all slept with bedroom doors open--not really possible if you're traveling with kids who sleep early). The people upstairs were very loud with stomping and running late and night and early in the morning (about 7am). That was probably the worst part--very annoying! In addition, the two bedrooms face a corridor with a very bright light that people kept turning on all night. The windows have no curtains, just plastic shutters, and the light came in very bright all night long. The hosts were very easy to reach and did their best to accommodate us. But when it comes down to it, I'd not stay again simply due to the heat in the space, the noise upstairs, and the bright lights coming in. These things won't bother everyone, but just consider before booking.
