At Barefoot and Blessed, you will find the true meaning of a beach getaway. Far enough away from the crowds and craziness, but close enough to still enjoy what Galveston and Surfside have to offer. Just hit “book now” and feel your stress begin to melt away as you envision being less than 500 steps to the beach (and your toes in the sand!) in the coveted Treasure Island neighborhood - halfway between Galveston and Surfside Beach. After you stop for groceries along the way, arrive at our home, throw the car in park and kick your shoes off because you have finally arrived at a true beach retreat!

The Space
Barefoot and Blessed is a lovely, family friendly 3 bedroom 2 bath home with beautiful ocean and beach views from the expansive deck. Fully stocked with new beds, flooring, and decor. We have everything to complete your retreat - appliances, kitchenware, paper supplies, etc.

Enough space for up to 12 to sleep very comfortably. (13 if you count the comfy hideaway bed in the living room couch.)

Worried about a four legged family member? Remember, this is a stress free zone. Even your “good boy or girl” will feel like they’re on vacation right along with you with our doggie door that opens to an enclosed stairway that goes right down to the fully fenced yard. We are Pet Friendly for up to 2 dogs up to 40 lbs (per dog).

Our home comes fully equipped with kayaks, minimal fishing gear, a few beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels, etc. - all you need to bring is your swimsuit and sunblock and leave your stress at home.

Close to the beach!

We had a great stay here! It is close to the beach and had everything we needed to cook breakfast and some dinners. Cold A/C and comfy beds

Great Option

The location is unbeatable and the use of the on property golf cart made all our trips back and forth from the beach so easy. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful.

Such a Wonderful Space!

This property was absolutely beautiful and so close to the beach! This portion of the beach was not crowded at all, clean, and restful. The neighborhood was quiet and family friendly. Additionally, the property managers were very communicative, accommodating, and kind. We enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

Birthday Vacation

Kyle was a great host. He kept in contact from the beginning to the end of our stay. The house was perfect. Walking distance to a private beach, clean, roomy, had everything we needed. We would definitely go back again. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the house and the beach. Our vacation stay was perfect. Thank you Kyle!

Location Location Location

We had great time staying at this property. We were there for three nights. This property is very close(2 mins walk) to the beautiful beach and has every thing what you need like kayak, surf boards, ubrellas, beach towel etc. Kyle is amazing host and goes above and beyond for the guests. He was following up from the day we booked and make sure he has every thing that we are looking for. Example, I asked him if he has a fire pit which at time he didn’t but to make sure we have a fun vacation at his property he bought new fire pit. I will definitely recommend this property to my friends and family and any one who is considering.

Great place in Treasure Island

We had a lot of fun, property was well equipped. We especially loved the golf cart and items to use for the beach. It is very close to beach, also really nice to have fenced yard for dog and gates at top of both stairs. Owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Great property

This property has everything one could want to have a fun time at the beach. It was clean, in a good location and the hosts were fast to respond to any questions. Having the golf cart made it super convenient to get to the beach and hangout without getting the truck all sandy as we often do. Really a great place to stay!

Beach Vacation

Our family had a great time at this location it’s super close to the beach, and we felt like it had some great amenities needed to make our stay easier and more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this beautiful property, and hope to come back with our family in the future. I really liked how responsive the owner was in answering all questions we had during our stay.

Great Vacation Home

This house was well stocked with everything we needed kitchen-wise. Comfortable beds. Nice bathrooms. Plenty of beach stuff in the storage room, including umbrellas and kites. Plenty of communication with the owners. They told us in advance that their golf cart was in the shop so we brought our UTV to shuttle people and stuff to the beach. There is a narrow beach entrance for golf carts just around the block, but the beach is literally just four houses down. There is also a beach entrance for cars down the road back towards Freeport. Would definitely recommend this property to others. The only con is if you are planning to spend a lot of time in Galveston it’s about 25 miles to town and there is a toll bridge that charges $2 each way.

Great location for our family getaway

We had a great time. Kyle and Rachael were very responsive to our messages before and during our trip. The house seemed to have everything we needed when we were looking for something. We read reviews for other houses that there are mosquitoes in the area. We concur-definitely bring some bug spray!!

Quick Get Away

We have stayed in this area for several years. We normally book way in advance but found ourselves wanting to get away on a few weeks notice. The normal houses we book were already gone but we saw this one and decided to book it. The house was was in a great location to the area beaches. The house had everything we needed and the Golf Cart was an added bonus. Accommodations were exactly as described. We had a very relaxing 5 night stay. At the end of our stay the owner contacted us and he informed us that he found a set of Air Pods (which my daughter had left). The owner sent these back to me. He went above and beyond the call of duty. We will definitely be back!! "OUTSTANDING"

Great place for a weekend trip

Kyle’s communication was top notch. The beach house has all the beach accessories you need, a golf cart, grill, and ample space inside and out. The remodel is very nice. A quiet neighborhood with essentially private beach access. I will be back!

Wonderful location

The house is in a gorgeous spot, not too far from Galveston or Freeport. You're so close to the beach you could walk, and the roads along the beach are incredible sights to see. Our dog had fun walking through the neighborhood and along the beaches too.

Our family loves to travel - planes, trains and automobiles! We love to camp and to cruise, the mountains or the beach. One of our all-time favorite trips was to Yellowstone, but there is nothing quite like the serenity of a week on the coast! We love renting out our RV and now are excited to extend our hosting to our beach home.

Our home - "Barefoot and Blessed" is less than 500 steps to the beach (and your toes in the sand!) in the coveted Treasure Island neighborhood - halfway between Galveston and Surfside Beach. After you stop for groceries along the way, arrive at our home, throw the car in park and kick your shoes off because you have finally arrived at a true beach retreat!

Treasure Island is a little off the beaten path, but still close enough to all the action and craziness that Galveston has to offer and still very close to the quirkiness that is Surfside Beach! We especially love this property because it feels fairly secluded and yet the amenities are amazing - beautiful beaches, bay, boat ramp and fishing pier are all within walking distance. But, why walk if you don't have to?

Load up and hit the beach (for sandcastles and seashells) or the bay for fishing (bring your own gear or use our poles). The only time you might have to get in your car is if you want to kayak around the bay - 2 adult kayaks and 2 children/youth kayaks included. You can even bring your boat and use the neighborhood private boat ramp.

At Barefoot and Blessed, you can kick off your shoes, relax in the ocean breeze, and you won't have to put those shoes back on again until you are ready to go back to the real world. Come and stay a few days or weeks and feel the stress melt away - you truly will be blessed!

The amenities of our home will always stand out above and beyond others. The kayaks, beach and fishing gear are just a few of the things that will make your stay unforgettable. And we are adding more amenities all the time. Some of the unique benefits of our home is that we are Family-friendly and this even includes your four legged family members. 2 dogs up to 50 pounds each are welcome. We might even be more than friendly because our home is set up to make your “good boy or girl” feel like they’re on vacation right along with you with our doggie door that opens to an enclosed stairway that goes right down to the fully fenced yard.

Our bunk room is set up to allow up to 7 people to sleep very comfortably in a bunk bed (with Full over Full bunks and a Twin pull out Trundle) and a Queen bed. This room also features a large FlatScreen TV with ROKU - making it a place your kids won't ever want to leave - no matter how old they are! The other two bedrooms both have King beds which make the perfect set up for 2 families with lots of kids or a large extended family trip!
