. Never once have I ever had such a disappointing stay and experience with the owner and cohost. I’m not one to leave reviews unless it’s 5 star. I understand how important ratings are as I also own short term rentals. On the day of check-in , I got a message from the cohost that there was a plumbing emergency and that we needed to be relocated. She described it as an upgrade. Being familiar with the area… It was absolutely not an upgrade to the unit she wanted to move us into. I made it very clear that we were traveling with a three month old daughter and that we could not enter into a situation where there was a plumbing issue. An hour later, she got back to me and assured me that the issue had been taken care of and that we were all set.Within one hour of checking in, I messaged the host because the entire apartment smelled like a sewer. It smelled bad enough that I even went and checked out the other unit at a different building across town. That unit was louder and noisier, and I knew this ahead of time, but the smell was so bad. I thought maybe we could deal with it. Again, traveling with a three month old. . On the second night, after showering, the entire apartment smelled like mold and mildew. Finally, it started to make sense why there were industrial dehumidifiers strategically placed around the apartment. we’ve left and asked for a refund for the remaining seven nights that we no longer planned to stay at the unit.. the host and owner stopped responding.
