The house itself is accurate on space and beds. The kitchen is not stocked with dishes as you would think. It is very random so we had to improvise a lot. The door code given did not work so we had to call and get a new one. You know the old saying " you get what you pay for" ...well this case is true. Needs a lot of tlc but mostly cosmetic. But for a last minute booking 2 weeks out on our part, we were limited on availability so this worked for what we needed and the location on the beach was nice and never crowded. So overall I guess it all depends on what is important to you and your family. We still had a decent time.

No foosball table, broken furniture, exposed outlets, broken blinds, broken toilet paper holder, light bulbs not working, stains on the carpets. Would not allow any sort of early check-in. The easy walk to the beach was the only saving grace to the home.

We actually had to switch houses but they found us one so our vacation was not interrupted. We had a fabulous time. I love VRBO.

Location was wonderful!!!Perfect house for our group!

Although the outside of the house(and some boards on the deck could use some TLC), the house inside was nice, clean, and comfortable. The location on the beach and easy access to the beach was amazing!!! We loved being so close and the beach was never very crowded. It was a wonderful location! I would rent there again!

Thank you for opening up ur home to me and my sisters the best party was definitely the view least favorite part….i have a fear of flying roaches but that’s not anyone’s fault but definitely will bring raid the next time we book overall our stay was great

This is a misrepresented house. Infected by ants. You can’t even open the door all the way to get in. It’s a huge safety concern. It was dirty. They had put in new carpet and some paint but that place is disgusting. The washer doesn’t work things that have been reported to the owners and to management have not been repaired. Do not stay here. I’ve never given a review like this. There’s no pic Pinic table downstairs the chairs at the dining room table we’re afraid to sit in them. One of the legs on the chair is falling off. There were ants everywhere thousands of ants.Yes, it’s front row but what does it matter? If you can’t sit anywhere and enjoy being there. There’s not a set of dishes. There’s not a set of glasses. You better bring all your own stuff. There’s not even a cookie sheet for the cookies I brought to make we’ll be talking to management. Decorations are old. Broken. There’s go on the wall. The shades were literally on the floor. You couldn’t open the storm shades to see out the window so it didn’t matter that you had a beautiful view. Oh, I could go on and on.

Needs repair.

Location is nice, but the house needs attention, beds aren't usable, floors... We don't recommend it, probably is more cheaper than others but not worth it.

The place was clean and very nice. When we arrived 5 pm on Friday the 19th, the wind had blown the trash container into the pond between our rental and the next home, it was in the pond a third submerged, trash bags were strewn all the lawn and driveway and into the neighbors back yard, the birds had pecked and opened the bags so it was and is a mess. We called the contact number immediately and were told someone would come out and retrieve the trash container and pick up all the trash. We left Monday (22nd) morning at 9:40 am and no one came to clean it. My son had no chose but wade into the pond to retrieve the container to hold our trash. We were disappointed at the lack of maintenance or call back from owner or vrbo mgmt.

We enjoyed our time at the water the house has several issues that need to be addressed. The biggest bone being the leak in the upstairs floor and soaking the carpet. And not having full access to the pantry due to paint cans and other it's being stored in there.

Pictures are an inaccurate depiction

There was a giant hole in the wall of the master bedroom. There was a tile rocking right inside the patio door, that collapsed on us and was a big hole. I took pictures of the mold in this house along with the holes. The ice maker ran water all over the floor. It was a nightmare house on a beautiful location.

Ocean front is the highlight

Being oceanfront is only thing that allows me to leave 3 stars on this home. As for as everything else the home was not clean when we arrived sticky floors counters and a surprise waiting in the toilet( seemed like the place hadn’t been cleaned for sometime). Kids should also be careful when they walk through the front door as pieces of the floor tile are missing and it will sink down as you walk in. The other big complaint I would say needs addressed are the appliances, the microwave above stove and the coffee maker was completely broken while only 2 burners on the stove top would get hot enough to cook with. This home has great potential if it were to get a deep clean and some of the appliances fixed. It was very disappointing to have the family noticing how dirty the house was as we checked in.

Sea Life

Property is well maintained and matched the listing. Good place for a vacation. Lots of 2 step stairs so everyone needs to be aware and watch your step. Kitchen contained plenty of plates and utensils. All the standard appliances were available.

Great place

Stayed here with some of my friends, this place was perfect for us. It was clean, nice, and we didn't have any issues.

Check in/ quality

The check in process was not made clear or not show at all in VRBO. The photos of the house were obviously doctored. The house was old and dilapidated and poorly maintained.

Location is great but needs work!

Unfortunately, the hot tub would not work. The owner called a repairman and he got it running but it quit again before we could use it. The repairman came out again and said that it could not be fixed. The owner said she would fix it (after we left of course.) We had ZERO cable the entire time. The owner came and waited most of the day but nobody showed up to install it. That same day the dish fell off of the house. She called someone else but they did not come before it was time for us to leave. At the end of our trip it started raining and of course we had no cable and we were stuck inside so we left a day early. There is a small tv in the living room that worked. The master had one but we never turned it on since there was no cable. One of the secondary bedrooms has an old CRT tv. There were some small bugs, tree roaches and german roaches. The owner sent an exterminator right away. She was very nice but of course we did not want to deal with the issues. Hopefully she can get these items handled before the next rental. It seems like the management company would have alerted her. When we first arrived, there were three people there still cleaning and they do not provide much so bring everything you need.

Great Location/ Expensive for Very Used Beach House

Take no pleasure in writing this, but the beach house is very used. One of the beds was half on the floor due to the frame being broken. My husband fixed it by putting paint cans under the corner to hold it up. Not sure where he found the paint cans. Appliances didn’t work ... like the ice maker and the microwave exhaust fan. Honestly we left a day early because the place was a little depressing.

Perfect Location

We met up with my brother and his family for the week,. There were 10 of us! Check-in was great! The staff was amazing and very helpful. If your looking for a quiet vacation away from it all, this is your place. The location was great! We loved the private beach. The House came with a few outside toys. In side the house, not so much. Would have liked to have some current board games. We all played a lot of foosball! The house was very clean. Kitchen was very well stocked! Could have used a cake pan. There were a few things that we were disappointed with. The hot tub never worked the whole time we were there:( 1st 2 days we didn’t have a dishwasher or garbage disposal. They did get it all fixed by the end of the 2nd day. The whole house could use new flooring. Tiles were broke and carpet was dirty and torn up in places. Master bathroom could use a little TLC. Missing fixtures and light bulbs throughout the house. But, in the end, we would totally stay here again. We spent our days on the upper deck and nights dancing with the kids on the lower deck! Over all great vacation.

Steps from the beach, great views from balcony, just a few minor improvements needed

Location, location, location - Though this property is 20+ min from most Galveston activities, we didn't miss them since we wanted to spend most of our time relaxing on the beach. This house provides a great opportunity for that as you have great views of the beach from the living space and patio, and just have a short walk down a path through the grass to the sand. Beach was not crowded - during the weekdays it felt like we had it all to ourselves! Amenities - All the basics are there... ATT uVerse for TV and wireless internet, no issues with A/C, had storage room and big picnic table on ground level with some beach gear (we needed to supplement with our own toys/canopy etc, but you can rent via concierge service if desired). The two bedrooms on the main floor worked well for us to put our young kids in room next to us, which two other couples took the upstairs bedrooms. Master was especially spacious. There was a hot tub on the deck, but we didn't try it out. Room to improve - While all the basics were there, it would have been nice to have some more pots/pans in the kitchen for those that want to do their own cooking. Also, while functional, the bedroom furniture was somewhat dated and mattresses/pillows/sheets weren't luxurious and some window treatments would have been nice for light blocking. There were a few maintenance items that needed to be taken care of like some broken patio railing (cosmetic, not a safety issue), broken laundry room door, burnt out lights, etc that would be easy fixes. Overall - Gave the property a rating 3 of 5 stars, with a some easy updates it would be a 4 star as the proximity to the beach makes up for some of the other minor discomforts.
