WOULD NOT STAY HERE

Worst VRBO experience we have ever had. Kitchen utensils filthy. Stains on the pillowcases and towels in the master. Owners had someone bring new pillowcases and towels but denied that anything was dirty. Refused to refund us for nights we didn’t stay due to a hurricane.

Highly Recommend

The house was beautiful, clean, spacious, walking distance from the beach and pet friendly. It had a nice big back yard with a hot tub and a great garage gym. Bring your Peloton shoes! It is also very close to down town St Augustine as well as some of our favorite restaurants on A1A (Caps on the Water, Aunt Kates, etc.). The owners were great and quick to respond if we had any questions. I would highly recommend this house for your next visit.

Sing Out Loud

Great house in a nice area of town, walk to beach but easy drive into the historic district. Comfortable and accommodating - Sarah was lovely and responsive to all inquiries and special requests. I would definitely come back to this cool little house. Great place to “home base” as we went to the Sing Out Loud Festival!

Fabulous Family Vacation Home!

We took our family of 7 on a quick little summer getaway and Fort Flox did not disappoint! This house is charming. It’s completely renovated and tastefully decorated AND had everything we needed to feel at home and enjoy our time together. So convenient to walk to the beach and really close to many cool dining places and shopping. Sarah is a rock star hostess! She communicated every step of the way and made us feel so welcomed. We will definitely visit again and encourage anyone looking in that area to book Fort Flox! Thank you so much!

It far exceeded our expectations. Beautiful home, very clean and the hosts were so accommodating. We loved their recommendations of where to visit locally. Plus our dog was very welcomed. We would give 10 stars if we could.

Nice getaway for us!

We enjoyed our stay at Ft Flox! Great beach within walking distance. Close to grocery shopping & easy drive to downtown St Augustine. Nice quiet neighborhood. House was clean, modern, nice appliances, good communication with host. Nice comfy house! Would go there again!

Fantastic five star beach house!

Clean, chic, and comfortable- this beach escape has it all! The location was perfect, the home has a cute, classy, coastal decor, and the bedding and towels are wonderful. The owners provide exceptional communication and recommendations for dining and sightseeing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to friends and family. Finding a pet friendly rental that is clean and well maintained was such a joy. The fenced in backyard with all of the tropical foiliage was so relaxing, especially with its close proximity to the ocean. This one is a beauty!

Fort Flox / Daytona 100 Ultramarathon

I am really hesitant to promote Fort Flox to the masses because of my desire to keep it my family’s hidden little gem! This home is absolutely stunning……has a backyard jacuzzi……steps from the beach…..& a few minutes from old town STA. This is hands down our favorite place to stay in FL. The owners are phenomenal & closely communicate with you regarding anything. We would highly recommend this home just hope it doesn’t get to where it is always booked a year out! LOL

Great family gathering spot!

We were there for our daughter’s wedding. Great place for family to gather. The house is so well equipped i never had to use my own knives….a rarity in any house we’ve rented. nice quiet neighborhood not too far from beach. Sarah was very responsive to any questions.

Mosquito Heaven

Close to the beach. Location is great and private. Close to restaurants, Publix, and downtown St. Augustine. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Over-all decently clean, especially for it being dog-friendly. Plenty of space and beds were okay. Both bathrooms are ensuite to two of the bedrooms. The Mosquitoes are terrible!!!! I bought mosquito bands, spray, Thermacell repellers, and multiple candles and we were still eaten alive. Tons would even fly into our cars. Found 3 roaches inside along with a giant spider in the garage and multiple on the house. I also had some sad kids when we found out the pool is 2 miles away and an extra $300. I totally understand the hosts not just paying it, but it should be made known before booking when it is advertised as having a pool. If the Mosquitoes and other bugs were taken care of, along with some other matinance issues, i would consider staying again.

Great house

We were attending a music festival in St. Augustine for the weekend and this property was so cute! It was very clean, nicely renovated, and had everything we were looking for. It was close enough to downtown St. Augustine to easily catch an Uber for 10-11 dollars each way. The check in process was very smooth. The hot tub wasn’t working upon our arrival, but it wasn’t really a big deal. It would be nice for a family vacation, as it has a third bedroom dedicated to children, with a bunk bed. It was well stocked with anything you would need for a little beach vacation. The house is located about a mile from the actual beach, on a quiet road. It is close to the beach but I’m not sure I would walk there if you have small children, just due to the traffic. We didn’t have any issues with noise or neighbors. It’s located in a great spot with a Publix nearby and other conveniences. Door dash also delivers there. The outdoor deck and backyard area was very nice. It has a large table outside that seats 6 and that’s where we hung out a lot. It was perfect for what we were doing and I’m really happy we picked it for our trip.

Fantastic Time in St. Augustine!

Super cute house, close to beach and our local friends. Enjoyed our visit and would stay here again. Loved the master, hanging out with friends in the kitchen and loafing on the sofa for movies. Owner was very responsive and kind.

Another wonderful stay!

This was our second time staying at the property and once again everything was wonderful. Clean, beautiful home with excellent communication. I think it’s the best one on Vilano!

Fort Flox Fun

Great accommodations for friends escaping mud season up north! We only had to walk a block to the beach - and the beach was perfect! (not super busy but so many shells...) The house was decorated beautifully, had comfy beds, and a hot tub! Sarah was quick to answer our every question. We wish we could go back now...

Fantastic Home Close to Beach

We really enjoyed our stay at this updated beautifully decorated home. The fenced in backyard was great for enjoying morning coffee and playing frisbee with our dog. The outdoor shower came in handy for cleaning off after walking on the beach. Sarah & Aaron are amazing owners - very responsive & helpful in all aspects during our 2 week vacation.
