Angelique, Thank you for taking the time to share this — we’re sorry your stay didn’t fully live up to expectations. As noted in our Airbnb listing, the cottage has AC on the first floor only, which keeps the main living space cool, with fans upstairs. Adding AC to the second floor is in our future plans, and we know the summer heat up there can be a challenge in the meantime. Conneaut Lake is beautiful, but it’s also a haven for bugs in the summer — and the spiders have a field day with it. We clean thoroughly between every stay, but new webs can appear within a couple of days no matter how hard we try. We’ll keep working at it. We’re sorry a toilet was missed during cleaning — we sincerely believed every bathroom was fully cleaned before your arrival, but an oversight is possible, and we’ve reviewed our turnover checklist so it doesn’t happen again. As for the doors, we had a neighbor stop by to check on the property the night before your arrival, and it’s possible they weren’t re-locked afterward — we’ll be more careful about that going forward. If you’re willing, please message us directly with the details (namely which doors and which toilet) so we can address both specifically.
